A Place for Mom is a very good place to start when you’re looking for care for an elderly parent. They called back/emailed promptly and followed through immediately. They are still checking back with me to see if they can be of further assistance. I appreciate all their support.

The care my mother receives with Trusted Hearts is exceptional. The caregiver goes above and beyond to ensure that she is actively engaged throughout the day. Since she has Dementia, it’s critical to know how to communicate and my mother sees her caregiver as a friend. Attentive Care Provided excellent care for my mom. The company was very helpful and attentive to any questions that I had. I was very impressed with every staff member that attended to my mother. [name removed] is always prompt and has good communication with us. She is a pleasant woman who is diligent with her tasks. In addition to assisting my husband with showering, she makes sure he exercises multiple times during her visit and works on his speech difficulties with him. We are grateful for her.

When my father fell and went in to the hospital - I found myself in urgent need of 24 hour care for my mother and the team at Assisting Hands came through big time! I was really in tough situation and it was over a holiday to top it off... [names removed]came through with care workers to cover day and over-night shifts to keep my mom (who has Alzheimers) safe. I was continuously impressed with everyone I had contact with in the organization and their constant communication and professionalism. The individual care workers [names removed] were all wonderful - they provided helpful updates about their shifts and summarized how my mom was doing and it gave me incredible peace of mind. I have even arranged for them to do additional hours helping out my dad - they are awesome! I would highly recommend this company for anyone seeking quality, professional help. They are truly outstanding!

Initially we decided on Homewell for the care of my mom. I found the company professional, caring, and detail oriented. I was seriously disappointed not being able to work with them. [name removed] and [name removed] were amazing and helped me make the most important decision when it didn't benefit them. My mother ended up getting ill and 24 hr memory care was the only alternative for our family. I would definitely recommend Homewell over and over again.

There is a wide variation in level of engagement and caregivers' personalities. My husband doesn't help matters, given his dementia. Most of the caregivers seem to handle that OK. I have been upset a few times when the caregiver was late or schedules got confused. I think [name removed] does the best he can, but it is frustrating sometimes. I prepare [name removed] lunch; the caregivers take him the tray and do minor cleanup. One thing that is surprising and rather odd. None of the caregivers have brought their own lunch! I feel I have to offer them something....This service is terribly expensive for just companion care. I can only use it when I absolutely have to!

[name removed] is a favorite sitter of the entire family. She is very attentive and still gives Momma her space and independence. Always goes above and beyond in meal prep.

We were pleased with Seniors helping seniors. They were great to be available our needs were met and she enjoyed the experience. She was apprehensive about having a stranger in, but was very pleased with her caregiver.

My children introduced me to the idea of having a personal care assistant come to our home while my daughter is at work. We chose Interim Healthcare because of the stringent hiring process and all of their caregivers are bonded and insured, and I discovered that not all agencies do all of the background checks. One cannot put a price on peace of mind. It has been very nice to have a caretaker in the home with me for part of the day.as I am not as steady on my feet as I used to be and I can't afford another fall. The caregivers arrive on time and I appreciate their consistency. They help me prepare dinner so it is ready when my daughter gets home from work. Interim Healthcare even arranged for a Physical Therapist to come to our home. I highly recommend Interim Healthcare for their services.

She was not only a trusted, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable caregiver for my husband but a blessing for me as well. She stepped in and knew from her years of experience, exactly what needed to be done, and did it with kindness, professionalism, and confidence. She made sure all medications were organized and provided at the precise scheduled times. His meals were not only nutritious, freshly cooked, and appropriate for his dietary needs but beautifully presented no matter how simple the food might have been. She would help him dress in clean clothes and drove him to doctor and other appointments and carefully assisted him in and out of the car. She treated him with dignity, respect, wisdom and humor. She kept him intellectually stimulated by asking him questions about subjects he was interested in. She was gracious to every family member or friend who called or came to visit.

5 without a doubt! We lost my Dad on [date removed] He was ready, and so was heaven. We couldn't have been more pleased with the care provided by [name removed] through Advocate in home care!!!! We had 24 hour care for the first few days, then decided 12 hours during the daytime was enough. I had called them in the afternoon, and an aide was there that evening for in-home care. [name removed] cared for Dad 6 days a week, and helped to train caregivers who came if she needed time off or on Sundays. She was invisible until she was needed, and then she was very caring and professional when she was needed. The care that DAD received probably saved my stepmother's life.... and that is not an exaggeration!

I chose Preferred Care at Home because my parents have friends that live in the same independent living that use them as well. They sent us a really good caregiver who is very helpful and efficient. The office staff is very attentive and I like how they always respond quickly. Their caring and attentiveness are what I appreciate the most.
