Most staff is good. Some very caring. One was on the borderline of abusive in my opinion. They are short staff and slow to answer help button. Very expensive but they did try to work with us on making the price affordable. My mom hates it but that's because she doesn't like having to be in a facility. For the most part I think they have done well. They just don't have enough help for the price we pay. Every time I've reported a concern they did look into it right away. (They could use more parking and closer to the door. It's a long walk from your car)

The staff is very caring and supportive. I would give them a 9 on a 1-10 scale. Activities are good when happening. I'm referring to the Memory Care Unit. The food is plentiful and looks good! This is for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Snacks are at 10am, 2pm and before bedtime!

Everything was very good, the food the staff, and the activities. They took excellent care of my dad. The only complaint I had was with the business manager. My dad had long term care insurance and the business manager never filled out the necessary paperwork for reimbursement even after numerous requests. It didn't really turn into a big issue because there was a 60 day waiting period for benefits to kick in and he passed away before that time. She was not friendly or helpful.

The staff there is always very friendly when we come to visit but more importantly they are always very kind to my mom when we are not there. The facility is always very clean. Also, a lot of carpeting has been replaced with hardwood floors which makes the facility overall cleaner. I had two concerns about the facility under its previous ownership: lack of activities during the day and my mother's clothes getting mixed up in the laundry and ending up in other residents' closets. Since American House has taken over I have seen improvement in both of these concerns.

When [name removed] was there he fell on 2 different occasions and they didn't get to him quickly. He said there for a long time He had to go to the rehab and the Doctor there told us not to send him back because they weren't able to watch him close enough. So we brought him back home. They had 1 person being responsible for too many people and we didn't feel it was as good as they described it to be. It would be better for someone that didn't need as much care.

The staff helped my whole family! My grandmother, grandfather, aunt. Super clean and really make the difference to my grandparents.

The staff is great. The food is good. The building is nice. The facility is clean and well kept. My wife is now in memory care and I'm a little disappointed with the care. There are 2 or 3 really good staff people in memory care. The new manager there is excellent.

American House provided a clean and safe place for my husband to stay while I had to be out of town for two weeks. The price was very reasonable and I did not have to commit to a longer period than I needed. The only complaint that I have is that I requested a couple of repairs be made to his room and these were never done. Otherwise everything was good including the food and the staff.

Its all good - it's clean, and they are friendly. Sometimes the food is not so good. The room/apartment sizes are small to average.

Food good, dining staff excellent.. it's two separate businesses so you have to get used to that.. rent is cheap but if you need any assistance from medical team it can add up..area is kept clean but you have to keep room clean. Supposed to make your bed every day but doesn't always happen. Overall happy and would recommend Livonia AH.

It's not perfect but the overall experience has been good. They try hard but struggle with same thing as all of them...adequate staffing. Yes, I would recommend this community to other families based on the experience so far.

AH has a lot of turnover with their staff. We found it difficult to get him showered while he was there. He had to request assistance over and over. The food wasn't very good either. They were there when we needed help and I appreciate it.

They have a great concierge desk, and [names removed] are fabulous. Most of the staff comes across caring. I would recommend it to others

The staff at American House was very helpful when it came time to move. They helped me and had answers for the questions and concerns I had. The care staff that they provide are great. They have worked with me to cut my costs. I am very satisfied overall!

We love the size of the facility. It's fairly small which makes it more intimate and the staff are super friendly. The only negative was when we initially met with the director to sign the paperwork, she and the marketing person weren't exactly on the same page...they told me different things and I had to get them both in the room together to make sure we received what we were initially told (regarding price, services, etc). It was nothing major and we worked it all out. The other thing was that we were asked by different staff members to sign various paperwork over the first few weeks. It seems to me all the paperwork should've been available when we signed the lease.
