Hope you understand that. Our family member has gotten terminally ill much faster than we thought would happen. Care is good but just could be improved some for the costs that are involved. Otherwise happy so far.. but Hospice is involved now so hopefully Bickford care will continue!

When it comes to the activities they could add a bit more to it. The value for cost gets a 4 but they will work with budget as much as they are allowed to do. My mom had the best experience the short time she was there. They staff genuinely cared for her. I honestly can not say enough good things about the people that work there.

We are so thankful that you guided us to ‘ Bickford of Davenport ‘. I wish we would have known about this wonderful place sooner. I can’t say enough about the compassionate and Knowledgeable staff. Thank you so much! I’m so thankful we called ‘ A Place For Mom’ to guide us through our difficult decision. I would highly recommend everyone talk to ‘ A Place for Mom’ before making any decisions for their loved ones .

I was in a huge problem with my brother. Bickford on Hickory has helped with all my brother’s needs medically, physically, and emotionally. They helped me also. I had no idea what to do for his care and Bickford was there to give me support

All of the staff is friendly and helpful. The activities director is very outgoing and makes sure that everybody gets involved. They work hard to get to know the person and their family. The light housekeeping is fine, but if you need more than that you have to do it yourself of course. Communication with the family is good. They provide text numbers that you can reach them as well. They are easy to work with and I think they are taking very good care of my mom.

They were attentive to my needs and were quick to respond.

Pretty good care facility. Much better facility layout. Much better than the prior facility.

Bickford Iowa City has a beautiful building and the care is outstanding. At any given time you can catch a staff member spending 1 on 1 time with a resident. [name removed] is a wonderful director and gives her time freely to anyone that needs it.

The caregivers took great care of my father and always kept us informed of any concerns they had. They are all very friendly and genuinely cared about my father. My Dad raved about the food. It is a beautiful facility. It is a small facility with only 1 floor. The dining room and activity room was close for my Dad to walk to. It is a quiet facility which we thought suited my father.

My mom has been there a few months (independent living), and so far, the experience has been really good. The apartments are incredibly well laid out and clean. Mom really enjoys the food, activities, and loves the weekly cleaning. The facilities are very nice - beautiful building and grounds - and the place seems very well kept. Staff has been very friendly and seem to be helpful. I've had limited interaction with most because I'm there several nights a week and weekends when it's not as heavily staffed but residents seem well cared for, staff is always very nice, and mom seems fond of them. Based on my experience this far, I would definitely recommend Bickford to others.

It is a small facility which makes you feel like a neighborhood with people living around a central outdoor space. During warmer months you are able to visit outside in a backyard environment. Our family visits mom almost every day and there have been some times when staffing was short and it took longer to find someone to assist us. Staff was very apologetic when this happened.

Our experience with Bickford of Crystal Lake has been so positive! Our Aunt is 100% satisfied with the amazing care, friendly staff, and wonderful services provided by Bickford. The caring staff regularly communicates with us and assists us in any way needed. Thank you for making this transition so positive and seamless for our Aunt!

My mother is a resident at Bickford of Worthington, first at the assisted living building and now at the memory care facility (known as Mary B.). I can't say enough good things about our experience. Every care facility has it's challenges. The thing that puts Bickford above the many, many options available is the staff. Flat out some of the most caring, selfless people I've ever met. I visit Mom a few times a week, sometimes unannounced, and I've never encountered any issues other than minor maintenance things that are usually solved by the next time I come in. I have access to every level of on-site management who I've found to be responsive and respectful. If I had to come up with any negatives it would be that both facilities could use some updating. Definitely a 90s vibe going on. But honestly, it's the staff. The care givers, the medical personnel, the activities directors, everyone is just amazing here. I sleep so much better knowing Mom is at Bickford.

The staff were friendly and encouraging and so supportive. My brother (the resident) entered The Bickford on hospice because of failure to thrive and within three months he was well enough to be taken off hospice. We had very little difficulty getting in contact with the staff, and they contacted me appropriately. I would strongly recommend this facility.

Very beautiful building and the ambiance was so warm and inviting. The staff was very welcoming and I did not wait long at all to meet with [name removed], the person that was doing my tour. Everything was well explained to me and I left knowing that I made a good decision to place my mom on their memory care unit. I feel as though she will be in good hands. The activities seemed fun and exciting and the staff really paid attention to the residents. I am thankful that Bickford of Bloomington was there to carry my mom on her second journey in her life.

This is the best place to bring your loved one's as they will be cared for. We have the best staff. Our assisted living is great . The residents are engaged all the times. If you want to see the best Memory care come to Bickford of Worthington. [name removed] residents are the best. They love doing activities.

My father loves the food. They are on top of his medications. Communication is pretty decent, but not perfect. The facility is very clean and updated. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

I am not sure I would recommend the facility. It is hard to say. It is ran by a bunch of young people that don't seem to have a care in the world. It takes forever to get responses back when you leave messages or text them. They do take a long time to tend to my mom, depending on who is on staff. Some of the staff are mean and are making my mom sick because she is so nervous. Others are nice. The room she moved into was so dirty. The bathroom floor seems to have never been mopped properly. So, housekeeping is not so good. It seems only 1 person in entire building knows how to un clog a toilet. You have to wait hours or days for someone to come and do that. It is the maintenance man. And he only works during the day/week. They use a swifter to clean. Not sure if they have ever wiped the counters off. If my mom was not alert she would probably get no care. I am sure that this happens every where. It is just sad that you pay this kind of money and the smallest things can't be done. The nurse can't turn the heat down or humidifier on. That is not her job. The cna doesn't know how to plug a cord in, you have to call maintenance. I could go on and on.

Overall a great place and I would recommend anyone take their loved one to this lovely facility. I had the pleasure of speaking with [name removed] (executive director) who really made me feel at ease with the care my mother could recieve from this Facility.

The staff was nice and friendly upon arrival. The atmosphere was cozy and clean! I felt validated with my concerns about placement. Guidance from the administrator whom has a nursing background helped me feel comfortable. I'm so glad and happy to say that moving forward doesn't not feel stressful.
