My mom liked this community

We all loved this place. Mom and stepdad were very pleased at the amenities and helpfulness of the staff. We were a little concerned about the areas for walking the dog. Quite different than what they have now. Much more sidewalk walking than the open spaces they have now. Though this was not a concern that either they expressed. The place was lovely. I see how important a 24hr nurse on site is when you are looking at progressive housing and care. The rooms are very nice and we understand how and why there aren't many openings available and how we need to get on a waiting list quickly though we were not ready to do so without financial affordability knowledge already in place. The Director couldn't have been kinder or more accommedating to our parents. She was great. The residents seemed happy. We had a chance to chat with a couple. Loved the INN!!! The VILLAGE is just as nice only understandably the residents were receiving more care that was evident. Mom was excited about the fitness classes available and my stepdad was happy about all the offsite excursions available. They also liked that they need not go together to everything (to watch over eachother) and could pursue their own interests. We did not tour the memory care unit. Need to do that on a repeat visit. Went back to tour memory care. LOVELY! Very homey and offers many activities also.

1 story with good outside views from all rooms, apts a little small but OK, only 10 apts in each wing makes it easier to get to know neighbors, convenient

Bby far the most elegant and medically oriented facility I've toured. They offered nice extras like a well-stocked snack area filled with drinks, cookies, fresh fruit. That was a nice touch. They also offered an anytime dinning type of service. Price is the deterrent for this facility. The basic type independent living cost for both of my parents was more expensive, but as their needs become greater, I did like the medical offerings here better. I really did like it here too because the activities seemed more varied and interesting than the other places.

Very impressed. Director addressed both me and mom even though mom had difficulty absorbing everything she had to say. Affordable, on our list for a return visit.

110 units; 21 memory care, 90 assisted; homey place w/ personalized care & med prof on site; has a medicare approved dr weekly; encourage as much care & indept as possible. 3 types of studios 2200-2500; 1 bed 3300-3500; sit down meals where you order off menu; eat whenever between 8-6pm. nurse 7 days a week; exec director. currently have a 90 yo mother & daughter w 65 y.o Down's daughter. can do pet as long is family w it. 2 story w main & second. mini fridge/freezer; AC/HVAC controlled by resident. has a family apartment. really liked intake person. accepts VA Aid.

It felt chaotic during the tour with staff communication that I witnessed.

So far we really like the place, the staff are very friendly and great, we think our loved one will be just fine there. However, they have no wife in the rooms as well as no air conditioning. We were not aware of this when we started our move in, and if we did we probably would of not moved our loved one in. Also we are having some troubles communicating with the nurses station on our loved ones floor. There seems to be some disorganization, but we are working through the kinks.

We never actually moved my dad into here because they were not able to sustain higher levels of care, but the ratings are based off of what our experience with them was. I liked the homeyness and coziness of the place. It is relatively small facility with really good staff members.

The staff makes sure everyone is clean and they make sure to keep sanitizer available for residents because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Most of the staff is friendly. We still get to associate as long as we stay apart at a safe distance. There are no activities right now because of the virus. The community is a little bit expensive.

The facility is very nice and the rooms are very spacious. With the new executive director for memory care, I expect ordination with the caregivers to improve. Overall, we really like the facility.

I toured at Brookdale with my loved one and I really liked this community. I thought it was a beautiful facility, but my loved one did not like it as much. If it had not been for the cost, we may have gone here.
