I would probably to tell them to look somewhere else other than this community. I feel that they weren't attentive to my loved one. We were telling them what needed to be done with my loved one, repeatably. The food was good for my loved one. The room was a single room and it was dark and old. The space was good.

Chelsea at Bald Eagle has many levels of care but it seemed a little too much for my 93 year old mom. Services were explained well, tour ok but seemed little too focused on activities rather than care.

For independent living no care services are included and food, electric, phone, cable, laundry, and apt cleaning are all extra. Assisted includes room, meals, activities but a lot of services are extra. Very pricey because of this.

Northern Jersey near NY border. Good prices. Worth a visit and more information. Got a call from a rep and he was very pleasant. It's an hour from the city. Is sending a brochure.

I toured the Chelsea while looking at options for my husband. I thought it was very nice, and I liked that they had a little snack and coffee area available at all times. They seemed short staffed to me though, and I didn’t feel they had enough care available.

This is a very nice community and the staff did a terrific job on our tour, they took their time they showed us all around and mom felt that the rooms were smaller than what she was looking for. They do offer a lot of amenities for the residents to choose from and we would suggest scheduling a tour to check this community out.

Got off to a rough start on first two days after Mother moved in. Up to that point all was well, everything done professionally, but failed to give her blood pressure medicine to her that night and the next morning; that set me off! After that was straighten out things have gone well. Mother is on a "soft" diet and they don't always do well in following that! I'm a business man and I get upset when people don't do all they claim should should do for their client/patient; but I will say that Mother wasn't too keen on going to a home to begin with, but she tells me every day that the ladies who tend to her each day are the nicest people she has ever met. If they can keep her happy and safe then I'll be happy, but you better do your job.

The nursing staff (the main nurse) is really good and really receptive to my concerns with regard to my Mom. What they could improve on was having the systems in place when my Mom first got there to accommodate her needs. There were some issues with her not having a bath for a week when she first got there.

They really play up the place. It is very uplifting. The only issue is that they do not follow through on their complaints. The housekeeping could be better. My loved one went almost 2 weeks without anyone picking up his laundry.

Eric was great! Clean. Smells wonderful. Ron Rogers was very helpful discussing transitional stages. Day care might not be best to slowly start acclimating. new facility brightly painted walls. Beautiful double occupancy room.

Expensire rate and no transport offered. Limited hours and further driving distance. I was not offered tour.

Memory unit seemed a bit small. I did not see many support staff interacting with residents in the memory unit. No single rooms available at this time.

We had a good experience on our tour, the staff was very friendly, and it seemed like a nice community. I felt that maybe it is due for some renovations, it just looked a bit worn out, and didn't seem as clean as other locations we had visited.

The rooms didn't have a fridge or a microwave either. I didn't really care for them

The first thing I noticed when I was touring was that this location looked very dated. There was paint chipping off of the walls in places, which made me worry what the care would be like if maintenance was an issue. Also the residents seemed to be on the higher end of the care spectrum, and Mom needed a more active community.

The studio apt did not have a kitchenette-the one bedroom did. Food seemed good and the menu too. Again, I was looking for specific activities for my Mom and they were not a shoo in here.

If you have a loved one at Brooklyn Pointe and God forbid they should pass, don’t expect a card or a phone call from them. My mother lived there just short of a year. She passed in early November and I didn’t hear a word from them. No phone call, no email or card. Nice

Needs a little more caregiver supervision and oversight.

Beautiful new facility, but the care does not seem to be what we were promised. Little to no follow through with the majority of the care staff and nobody really seems to know what is going on with their residents. It is difficult and emotional enough to transition your loved one into assisted living, without the added stress of feeling that he/she is being neglected. This facility has all the bells and whistles, but I feel that the "sales team" did not give us realistic expectations for care. They have these great little bracelets that the residents wear with a door key and a call button. Unfortunately it takes the upwards of 25 minutes for anyone to respond to the call, which I find to be completely unacceptable.

My mother was only there for a couple of months. She had really good care. Had some issues with the manager which I understand has been replaced and things have taken a turn around. It was a good place for what my mother needed at the time, but they should do something about the pets. Accidents would happen and it would leave bad smells. Carpets needed to be cleaned more often. The food was not all that good either at the time my mother was at Elmcroft, but I believe all those people have been replaced.
