The move to the Victory Centre of Park forest has been a little rough but is getting better. My mother was having trouble walking down to the dining room by herself, but they will be having a CNA check on her to make sure she's going. The only problem we have encountered with the community was that they forgot to do my mother's blood work, but I spoke with them and things are back on schedule. Everyone is very nice here, my mother likes her apartment, and always says the people are very nice to her. The community, as well as her place, are kept very clean. The meals from what I've seen are fine.

I would have given Cambridge house of Swansea a 5 star rating except that ALL the residents say the food is horrible. Tastes bad and is often cold. This is very sad and inexcusable. Long time residents say in the beginning it was very good but went down hill. I was told by marketing before moving Mom in the food was great. So sorry for my Mom. I'd like to know if there is something that can be done?!

After first month the rent was raised across the board. Wasn't made aware of the raise when my mother was approved and moved in.

staff enjoys their job and they are all professional, cheerful, helpful, patient, and good listeners.

I can't believe the laundry people don't have enough sense to turn clothes right side out before they fold clothes...who would give an elderly person their laundry back all inside out....???? Other than that, its wonderful

Awesome, Mom liked it, Dad did not because it was assisted living. Dad did not give it a chance. He does not want to be closed. But no memory wing, Dad has Alzheimer's.

My mother moved into Reflections almost a year ago. We were able to negotiate lunch and dinner with the monthly rent. We were given permission to paint her unit, and make a few changes to make it more of a home. Everything was great. Since then, they have experienced a turn over of staff. The activities listed, are usually for show. The upkeep of the property has gone down hill, and it's hard to get repairs done. Furnace/air conditioning filters are not changed, and some of units need replaced. The food service has good, then budget cuts were made, and it has gone down hill some. Food choices are very limited. In the beginning, they would bring your meal to your room if needed, now they charge $5 for each delivery. They do have outings, will take the residents to the grocery store, and with 2 week notice take them to the doctor, which is helpful. Unfortunately, they gave notice of a 7% rent increase, which is causing many of the residents to look else where to live due to the changes taking place.

The place itself is pretty nice. Clean welcoming. The food leaves quite a bit to be desired. There is very little fresh food, most with a lot of breading or gravy. That is probably the biggest drawback. There are some activities. My mother said it took quite awhile to get to her Dr. appt. waiting for others. Staff very friendly and courteous. I think they could have more activities.

The staff is very caring and positive. The building and dining room are clean and bright. The lobby And dining room are decorated for holidays and special events take place. I recommend Heritage Woods.

Seem to be a very caring staff. Only have seen one that I felt should not be there. I live in California but my brother lives 2miles away so he is there quite often. Seem to be quick to try and help remedy concerns.

This facility is very well maintained. The facilities are attractive and the faculty there are friendly. In my opnion this facility is more of an independent living facility. when fulll ther are only about CNA per 25 residents. If you have a loved one that needs a lot of care I would not recemend the GV. Again the VG is god at what it is designed to do. Be sure of the level of care needed and then visit the GV.

We looked at this place for medicare but by the time she was ready to move they weren't accepting it anymore. It's a beautiful place but it's just too expensive. I personally think medicare dropped them because they're prices were soo high, they were asking 3300 a month and you would have to pay more on top of that for other things. If you have the money it's great and it's a beautiful beautiful place.

It's a little bit bigger of a place. The place is so big that I could walk down an entire hallway without running into a person. I call them blocks because they're really long. The rooms there were three times, maybe four times, as big as another place we looked at. My mom's just got a small room there. It's a studio and I think they said it was 16x22 so we were able to fit her double bed, a couch, a couple of dressers, and she has a little mini kitchen that she doesn't have to share. It's much more spacious. There is just one issue. She's been there a month and half and they still do not have her front door fixed. People, other residents, just walk into her room because the door does not lock even though it's supposed to. I'm not happy with the security level there is the main issue. The people that work there are just wonderful, very courteous.

Staff is great, food is ok, activities were good, room size was ample.

These responses are pretty brutal that doesn't mean I wouldn't recommend them there was a lot of people transitioning while Mom was there too many aids working double shifts. But everyone had their heart in the right place and were working towards a better solution. I very seldom give 10 out of 10 because I always think there's room for improvement even for me I'm a 7-

When we toured Bardwell we were struck by the kind staff, the size of the apartments, and the cleanliness. Unfortunately, they have had continuous turn over of Administration, and have lost some wonderful staff members. While without administration, we dealt with the management company. It became very clear that they are more interested in the money than providing the best care to residents. Several staff members are lovely, caring people who have provided wonderful care, however, understaffing leads to lack of care, especially on the weekends. Some specific examples of problems have been lack of sending up a meal tray, if resident doesn't go down to the dining room, after asking for this to be done. Asking for medication refills with only 1 week notice. Leaving a voice message in an unidentified voice message box and not receiving a call back in more than one day. Pulling the emergency cord in apartment bathroom with no response for 20 minutes on a weekend.

Just like most facilities, they are understaffed. The cleanliness of the facility definitely could be better, but I blame that on lack of staffing as well. The bathroom accommodations I believe are probably the worst part. They lack in every way. The size of the rooms specifically my mother's is only 70 ft.². It's hard to sit in there with her when it is such a small room very little of her own belongings can fit to make her feel at home and it was a difficult adjustment for the price. It was the most affordable. It is not terrible. I feel when I leave her. She is safe,However; I know things could always be better. I hope that helps.

Biggest problem is understaffed. Definitely need a quicker response to questions. Experience for me was devastating. No car no stove. I don't go to dining room because food and service poor.

KEEP SAKE IS TOO SHORT ON STAFF, CLOTHES AND PERSONAL ITEMS ARE SOMETIMES GIVEN TO THE WRONG PATIENT. NOT ENOUGH STAFF TO FULLY TAKE CARE OF EACH PATIENT AS THEY NEED TO BE TAKEN CARE OF. I'M THANKFUL FOR WHAT THEY DO, BUT I FEEL LIKE MY DAD WOULDN'T BE WITH US IF IT HADN'T BEEN FOR MY MOM BEING OUT THERE EVER DAY SEEING THINGS WERE DONE LIKE KEEP SAKE THEY WOULD BE.

The first week was a rough one. Between moving in my loved one and the filthy condition of her apartment upon first arrival, it wasn’t the smoothest transition. The situation was never rectified and we did not receive support from management, however the nurses on the floor and front desk staff are exceptionally kind, friendly and do an amazing job. The activities and marketing directors are awesome. At this time my loved one has settled in and seems to be enjoying herself but it was an extremely rough start that could’ve been avoided or immediately rectified, but wasn’t.
