Some employees are unfriendly--sometimes a few bad apples spoil the whole bunch. Food is decent, rooms are nice but bad housekeeping (vacuuming, dusting, bathroom). Has a beauty salon but it is rarely open. They have a "sign-in, sign-out" front door policy for residents and their visitors. There are few activities--a short Bingo game twice a week, a "scenic drive" (30 minute bus ride in surrounding neighborhoods or sometimes to Dairy Queen or Amy's Donuts), fireside chitchat, hand massage, "resident choice" (which means there is nothing), occasional games . They are "fair" about giving out medications--a few times I had to go looking for them. On the whole, I would not refer.

When my parents moved in August of 2016 the place was nice. It has gone downhill. Manager doesn't return calls. When complaints are expressed, [name removed] the general managers response is what can I do about it. Phone calls not returned. Food was good. Now it is poor. Service of food horrible. My parents what 45 minutes or more to get lunch. Elevator has broken down a number of times. Think twice before selecting this place.

I was very dissatisfied with how the director was so unprofessional. I wanted to take my Father to this home until i saw online how the director promoted herself and was very disappointed how staff was treated.

My mother has been residing her for over a year. While the building is beautiful and the sales people are on point, it is all smoke and mirrors. This past weekend my mother hit her call button between 8:30-8:45. No one answered it till after 10. This is inexcusable BUT HEY, it's not the first time it has happened. Nope, it's the 4th. They are constantly short staffed. They are on their 3rd or 4th Executive Director as well as Director of Nursing. They have told me every time "we know there is no excuse and we have put (fill in the blank) plan in place." WELL clearly their plans don't work. We are beyond frustrated at the lack of infrastructure and support within this facility. We are filing complaints with multiple state agencies.

Too expensive unless you have an endowment fund! The all-inclusive price is outrageous! If you could have rent and chose extras you want/need it would be great! People complain all the time & nothing is done about it! Maintenance is great! Housekeeping [is] good poor at best. Not at all based on [the] level of care you need!

I just moved my mom out of there. The place has gone downhill and I would not recommend this place for anyone. 11 mice caught in her room in less than 24 hours this spring. Wedding ring and money [Removed] from her room. Backed up plumbing in her room that was caused down the hall and took maintenance the next day to even look at. [Removed] their administrator don't care about the elderly and loves to say if you don't like it you can move. Please don't subject your loved ones to living here until they get rid of [Removed] and clean this place up. It could be a nice place

I would never send anyone to the Beach House. We did not get a good experience with how the provide their care. I was told my loved on became aggressive but nothing physical and sent them to many places where they became worse. The owner told me it was uncommon for memory patients to become aggressive, it seemed to me that she did not know much about memory care.

I would give them zero what ever you do don't go here. If you want a loved one not to fall and told they are fine. Two weeks later the [Removed] from complications to a broken back.

Very, very poor. Mismanaged medications resulting in life threatening trips to ER. Did not report changes in condition or falls to family until resident ended up in hospitals. Very poor communication. Must be prodded to return calls, etc., and communicate with resident's doctors. Family meetings are a waste of time to let you think things will change. Big turnover with staff. Need more qualified on all levels. Food is beyond tasteless, nutritionless and at times totally inedible. Residents daily complaints go unanswered. Lots of wasted food. Lack of fresh fruit/vegetables. Very, very disappointing experience. Wouldn't send anyone I care about there. Unfortunately, it's too late for that.

Had the opportunity of doing a tour of the community to the community is very beautiful but the staff mainly department heads are cocky they make promises that they probably can't keep you not go there

Food service has not improved in the 15 months my mother has been there. Legionnaire's disease outbreak has not been controlled for over a year. Significant management leadership challenges

Lovely place. Management has not been able to fix food service issues that have persisted over a year. Recent problems point out security issues with a rash of thefts. Company has not fixed Legionnaire outbreak based on frequent changing of shower heads and resident requirement to run water.

My mother lived at Cameilla and got very sick with pnemonia due to the outbreak of legionnaires disease. The community is beautiful and was very pleased the cost was much lower than other facilities I had looked into; however, my mother's health was the main reason I moved her there. Camiella got her sick and they are not able to provide the care i was hoping for. Sometimes when you think a deal is too good to be true it normally is. Safe yourself some trouble and find another place. I am having to pay more now but i am finally assured she is getting the care she needs in a healthy enviroment.

Per the June 4th letter to occupants, this facility still has the Legionnaires bacteria in their system. Are they disclosing this to prospective tenants? I think not. Legionnaires Pneumonia is dangerous, especially for the elderly.
