Greenhills Care Home

I can’t say enough about how wonderful the caregivers are. We moved our mother to Greenhills and we were concerned how she would do in a smaller residential care home. The staff is top notch and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to dealing with and redirecting those suffering from dementia. Our mother was previously at a well known Napa facility and we had an absolutely terrible experience with caregivers that truly had no idea how to deal with the devastating effects of this disease. It was neglectful and dangerous. Thank you, Thank you to the wonderful caring people at Greenhills!

My Mom has been a resident at Green Hills for over five years. I managed a family practice physician office and [name removed] (the administrator) would bring residents to see their physician. Yes, she would transport them. We were so impressed with the care and love she provided, we all decided we would want to be a resident some day. Well, I have experienced the care first hand and all the staff are so compassionate for my Mom and for me dealing with the difficult disease of dementia. Green Hills is well kept, clean and always smells so fresh! Family & friends who have visited have nothing but positive comments which makes me feel happy. Before Covid I was able to socialize with the residents and they were always excited for their next meal. Everything was always a special treat! The staff always greet family members by name and make them feel comfortable. Green Hills is truly a remarkable care home!

I cannot say enough good things about Greenhills. My mom has dementia and she has some difficult behaviors that need patient and compassionate care. The Greenhills staff and their program provide a safe, comfortable and loving home for my mom. When I visit she is always clean and well dressed. The facility has a very happy vibe. Lots of laughter, music and decor for the holidays. Having my mom live at Greenhills at this very difficult time in her life has brought me great comfort and I highly recommend!

We moved our Mom into into an assisted living facility in 2014. [name removed] was a large facility with over a hundred residents. In 2020 we moved Mom closer to us to [name removed]. Again it was a large facility with many residents. Finally in 2021 we moved Mom into Greenhills Care Home in American Canyon. She needed more intensive care and Greenhills was a smaller (24 residents) memory care facility. It was a relief to get Mom into a facility that could handle her ever increasing needs. The staff are very good at not only meeting her basic needs but keeping her engaged, helping her with her meals when needed, letting her play piano, taking her outside to get some sun, etc. She feels at home there. [name removed] (administrator) keeps us informed about how she is doing between our visits, sometimes sending photos of mom. Caring for Mom has gotten more difficult as time goes on and I so appreciate the role Greenhills has played in keeping her as happy and healthy as possible.

Since January 2023, my mom has been rapidly declining and becoming extremely difficult for to walk and take care of herself. It was difficult to find the perfect place for her since she can no longer be on her own. I received a recommendation from a good friend of mine, we called and they have space opening June 2023. Only 2 weeks. With a lot of hesitation we convinced her to go. BEST MOVE EVER!! She is happy, well taken care of, and I don’t have to worry about her. The staff is very professional and makes my mom feel at home. Every time I go and visit her, she always says, “I love being here! Everybody takes good care of me!” Everyone at Greenhills, [name removed] and the whole staff, have become our new family.
