The meals are up and down, and the seating they had was not the best. They have to wait almost an hour sometime to eat. The room sizes were good and laid out well. They had activities every day and posted everywhere. my father passed from heart failue while removing snow from his car what is thier policy on snow removeal I would recommend this community but make sure the dining situation is improved

I would tell people that their parents would need to actively participate. During the tour, they had promised that the community would take my loved ones down to the dining room and introduce them to the rest of the community. In addition they would take my loved ones to activities, and other areas in the first two weeks. The food was average for my loved ones.

Our review is since COVID. We chose Golden Oaks because it was recommended and when we went to tour we really liked the facility. The apartment sizes are great. Before COVID, the food was very good, it was chef prepared and very fresh meals. Since COVID, it is being delivered and is cold and the quality has gone way down. The best part about the community so far has been the social interaction she is able to have with the other residents here and feel part of a community. I would recommend to others.

Crescent Heights is a lot like home. I love my housekeeper, she is so nice and loving and always goes out of her way. Before covid, I was able to utilize transportation to still work at the hospital, and hope to get back there one day. I like being able to talk and socialize with other residents and the employees.

We're a lovely country setting with fresh air, birds and a bear and cub in the woods… – there are compassionate and caring employees. – the management is experienced, efficient and responsive to our needs. – the most important, they have kept us safe during this difficult pandemic episode!! I've lived here for over nine years. I can only say good things about my residence here. The people are friendly, the managers helpful and there are many, many activities to keep us busy and happy. I am now 95 years old and have slowed down a lot. The virus has been disturbing, but management has done a great job keeping us well!

I've lived in Village Gate for 15 years and found the community very convenient, safe and friendly – in spite of bordering Hartford which entertains frequent shootings, stabbings and fighting now the way. It was much more peaceful when I moved in 15 years ago. "Society" has moved in which was not residing here previously.

The community is very pleasant. The only thing negative is the food. I've lived here for 5 years and very rarely is the food anything to brag about. Covid-19 has magnified the issue with the food.

Village Gate does a very good job of keeping its residents healthy, happy, amused and covid-19 disease free.

My husband and I lived in Ormond IN, in another facility for 8 years. He came to Connecticut to be near our daughter. My husband died six years ago. I have enjoyed living in both facilities and I'm happy here. My only complaint is the food could be better.

People are friendly and the staff are helpful.

The first thing that stood out to us about this community was the price and the minimal care services that came along with that price. The friendliness of the staff members tends to vary just a bit. The food was not the best but they did offer a variety of choices for the residents to pick from.

Elm Park is a wonderful place to live. Everyone here is family and friends. The employee turnover is rare which is great. We get to know our working staff. Company needs to put money into building for improvements. Furniture in building is horrible I will not sit on it. Patio furniture in man lobby?????

I appreciate that the staff do their very best to keep us comfortable and safe during the pandemic. The one area of improvement is the meals offered. Pleasing everyone is impossible, I know, but I believe there could be much improvement overall. I love the new home!

It's all right but they need to stop putting the spices in all the food. I'm not able to eat it. Gives me a stomach ache.

A great place to spend my senior years. Much too restricted do to Covid but that is the government decisions.

Springs of Escondido. Our mother has been at the Springs for over 6 years now. She is a nonagenarian cancer survivor with macular degeneration, and sometimes quite the personality!! The "facility" has renovated while we have been there, and done a good job with the C-19 procedures required. It is kept clean, the regular staff, cooks, servers care about the residence there, and really work hard. The management has changed a few times, but the Holiday directors have been helpful as well. The facility format changed, and is now more of a senior facility with no staff present overnight. The residents all have alerts, and hiring your own external caregivers to come in where needed is suggested. The facility is charming, nice courtyard, library, gym, and generally do a great job at plenty of activities and accommodating the residents. There is a shuttle, as well as activities scheduled out when possible. Overall, a caring - good - clean place. Let them know [name removed] recommended them :)
