My grandfather has lived at Parkwood for 2 years and the staff has been fantastic. He's had a great experience and really likes his nurse [name removed]. He also mentions he looks forward to the activities planned by [name removed] and [name removed]!

Parkwood has been a great home for my loved one. The nursing staff is very caring and loving. They enjoyed their time and appreciate all the activities and space they have. Would recommended this place.

From my first visit/tour, I had a good feeling about Parkwood. [Name removed] provided us with a tour and was great at answering all of my questions - during the first visit and thereafter. Once we decided to place my mom at Parkwood, the process to get her moved in was fairly smooth. Only had one major issue which was the fact that the room smelled due to the previous tenet. But, they made sure to get the carpet cleaned prior to my mom moving in. My mom has been there a week and is still settling in. But, she has not had any complaints and seems happy to be there. Some of the reasons we chose Parkwood Assisted Living: 1) It’s a smaller community of residents 2) everyone was friendly on our visit and many of their employees have worked there for an extended time. 3) I appreciate the ”one price for all services” structure. 4) If my mom needs additional care down the road - memory or skilled nursing, it’s just a move to another area of the same building.

We knew moving my parents from their home to enhanced living would be accompanied by many challenges including social-emotional issues of leaving their home of over 50 years. [Name removed] and the staff at Parkwood have treated my parents with kindness and dignity making this life transition much easier for my parents and our family. My parents enjoy interacting with the staff and have commented several times that they feel comfortable and safe in their new home. Thank you!

Very pleasant staff, in all departments. The activities are enjoyable. We appreciate the available transportation for medical appointments and special outings. We enjoyed the recent Holiday Lights drive. The staff remember our names and are awesome.

My Mom and our family have been treated very well by Danberry over the years. She has really enjoyed living there for a number of years. The residents, employees, and activities offered are great! She has made many friends (residents) and also likes the staff.

I toured the community and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. The care services team was attentive and well-trained. The facility was clean and there were a variety of activities to select from.

After our dad died, and it was time to put my mother into a senior living home. We got the school of hard knocks crash course on what not to do! We thought when we had to move Mom for the third time in four years that we finally got the right place. Boy, were we wrong! When the great executive director left, and the new one was hired. They ran off the entire staff. It was a disaster again! We hired [name removed], and they strongly recommend that we call [name removed] at Danberry. This being our fourth move. This being our fourth move, I had learned most of the questions to ask. Longevity of the staff Longevity of executive Director Longevity of the nurse/wellness Director Who is the management team? And go interview the residents in the dining room alone. Danberry hit every one of those checkboxes!!! They worked with us through my mom being hospitalized twice while visiting Birmingham. They have delivered on everything that we expect for our parents!

Thank you doesn't seem to be enough to tell all you. Mom's transition has been flawless from the moment she came to see her room. The piece of mind I have knowing that she is in the best place with the best staff taking care of her is priceless. My brother and I appreciate every one of the staff members that really love mom. Your work does not go unnoticed. Thank you so very much.

Living at Clarendale has changed my life~ I love it here so much
