First, the good. The Inn had a few excellent caregivers who made a huge effort with my Dad. We appreciate their efforts. Additionally, the activities coordinators planned many activities and made genuine attempts to engage the residents. The staff generally knew who my Dad was and could respond to in person questions about him. The bad - so many medication mistakes were made. We had to be constantly on the caregivers to ensure they were giving the rights meds at the right times of day (they were giving my Dad a very sedating medication at 8 am despite doctor's orders). In addition, part of the care plan included making sure my Dad used a sleep apnea machine at night. Caregivers often misled us about whether they were in fact helping with the machine. We knew this because the use of the machine was recorded at his doctor's office. We finally had to resort to a nanny cam which showed us that the night caregivers were often lying to us. This was extremely disappointing and led to great conflict with the facility, its managers and caregivers.

The location is good. Unfortunately, that is about the only thing that is good about the Reserve. Old property, old outdated units, requires a lot of walking between buildings to get to meals, and no outside activities. For those on a "budget" this might be okay but not for us. Reminds me you get what you pay for, especially when it comes to senior living conditions.

We had some terrible experiences. They caregivers are unprofessional and not knowledgeable. I found it very shocking that I knew more about the medications and they mixed up his medication regimen. I noticed the director is mostly unavailable and I found that the staff complained a lot about her not being there too. Everything else about the community was fine.

My mom is at Almond Heights. The Food is not very good dropped in quality and quantity since she moved in a year ago. Chicken is on the menu often and dinners seem to be the most challenging. The families don't seem to be eating there as much which is an indication. Care is inconsistent in timelines and there seems to be turnover of employees. Facility is new and very nice. Activities are very limited and not many outside the facility activities via bus. Not many activities per day in comparison to other facilities. The budget must be tight as there were no Thanksgiving decoration on the dining room tables or Christmas to enjoy the marginal food by.

We had a lot of problems here. The food was a nightmare. The overnight care was terrible. I don't feel like they really did anything well. I moved my Mother out of this facility because it was just bad.

Very nice, not an option. He would not be comfortable with this price point or lifestyle.

It's definitely an older building and you can tell when you walk in. There's only one elevator for the three-story building and, when my grandparents lived there, it was often breaking down. This would leave people stranded on the 2nd and 3rd floors - sometimes for days. My grandparents are now living in a different community which they like much better.

There are a few issues that really have soured our experience as a whole. The first is that while the dining service was one of their big selling points when we toured I have not been impressed at all by it. The service is VERY slow, it can be over an hour from ordering until the food arrives. And when it does arrive it is often either lukewarm or cold. The second major issue is that I have to constantly stay on top of them to make sure his trash is emptied. If I remind them they'll do it on the spot, but sometimes I'll come in and see days worth of soiled diapers that haven't been emptied. It's unfortunate that they have these issues, as the employees here are some of the nicest and friendliest people I've met. They know the residents by name and seem to really care about them.

Out of all of the places that I have visited this was my least favorite. It was very loud during my time there. I felt rather rushed during the tour, the facility did not have the amenities that I was looking for and the rooms were very small.

My Father-in-law recently moved in, in Aug 2013. He had a stroke and fell in his room and laid on his floor struggling to get up (as he had bad abrasions on both knees and bleeding feet when he was found.) No one from the Wellington looked in on him and he was found by his daughter at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. He was still in his bedclothes so we know he did not go to breakfast or lunch that day. There was a plant delivered to his room and was on his kitchen counter, but even the delivery person didn't see he was on his bedroom floor unable to get up. He was very dehydrated when we took him to the hospital to make sure he hadn't broken any bones. He was transferred from the hospital to a hospice center and will probably pass away in a day or two. Our family is very disappointed in the Wellington.

We went there before I put mother into another community. There were two women working there. One said one thing, the other said something different. I paid the money and they assured me that they would take mother. Then when the time came, they told me nothing was available. I had to fight to get my deposit back. I would not recommend that place to someone my mothers age. maybe for a younger person. I don't think that my mother would have gotten the care that she needed. I think that she would have been on her own. Especially for what they charge.

They don't even look it at them. They're supposed to help my dad put his pajamas on. He fell going to the bathroom and he just layed on the bathroom floor all night with his clothes. It's clean and it looks nice but I just don't think they have a professional staff that cares about the people. There's a bunch of young people that work there that just sit at the desk and talk. I don't have anything to compare it to but I expected a lot more. I'm very unimpressed with the people that work there. They don't really give him a bath or make him look nice. They don't really do anything.

We weren't especially fond of the facility. Was kind of 'institutional' like in feel.

The staff members there were all very friendly, however the care our loved one was given we had some issues with. They kept placing him in diapers when he did not need to be which was frustrating. Also management did not communicate to the staff members for about three weeks what our loved ones treatment plan was going to be, the staff had no idea what was going on with our loved one. Our loved one also said the food was not very good, and due to the covid restrictions the activities were still pretty much shut down.

Savanna House has gone progressively downhill and never did get off the ground. The facility is beautiful and at a glance seems like a wonderful place. But it stops there. Food quality is very inconsistent and staff is defensive when you try to raise concerns. There are never enough caregivers and residents have waited as long as 40+ minutes at night to have their call button answered. Most of the caregivers who work there are very caring but over worked. If you want it items and furniture moved by housekeeping so they can thoroughly dust and vacuum, it’s extra charge and you need to submit a work order. Mold was discovered in multiple bathrooms. Housekeeping staff tries but are understaffed and can only spend @10 minutes per apartment once a week. Concerns have been taken to management in all areas but nothing gets addressed.

STAFF..The staff is constantly changing. The director has changed 3 times in one year. At times the receptionist is the only one there...ni med techs, no administration. No one! Then there are times you just WAIT for receptionist because she is plunging a toilet or doing walk through with someone. The housekeepers do VERY minimal work. The cleaning is not consistent from week to week. If you get housekeeping each week. MEDICATION...don't get me started. The MMR records are NIT accurate. Giving meds that were stopped, not giving meds for multiple reasons. ( it needs to be refilled, their responsibility) Narcotic prescription was "lost" for a day then found. FOOD: nothing to write home about. Everything pretty much tastes the same. I can say that [name removed] the activities coordinator, plans a ton of activities and tries to keep moral up. This must be difficult to do daily because she is fighting no only residents but staff and upper management.m

Not a good place. Don’t move here! The food is bad and all they care about is cutting cost to increase their profit. Staff, residents and families I know are very disappointed in this place. Lots of changes lately and none for the betterment of the community- just the corporate pocketbook.

My neighbor's mother fell last week and needs more help, so I brought her to Huntington Terrace for a tour yesterday. My mother lived there a couple of years ago and I was surprised to see NO familiar faces. When we arrived we were told that there was no one available to tour us or provide us with any information and to come back another day! We looked around a little at the dining room and lobby area and I heard staff talking about how many people were leaving and overheard one caregiver saying she was interviewing for a new job so she could get out of there!! I was embarrassed and I DO NOT think she is going to want to come back! What happened??

my mother has lived at Huntington Terrace for 3+ years. it has been amazing. the carestaff and nurses are so great. the food is always amazing, the activities are great also. they underwent a management change a few months back and the whole building changed. some of the amazing long time staff and managers have left and they are bringing in incompetent people starting at the top. It is such a shame because this place was amazing for a long time, but now i am looking to move my mother. Very disappointing.

We toured this place and I was not impressed. One thing I will say is that they need to get their roof replaced or replace the many, many ceiling tiles that have water stains on them. The building was not maintained. If they couldn't take care of their own facility, It made me question their ability to take care of my family member.
