Merrill Gardens

My wife and I came to the Ackerly when an unexpected illness required assisted living. With excellent food, a restful environment, and a friendly and welcoming staff, we recovered, and were able to return home. The Ackerly is a valuable community resource, and we recommend it heartily to anyone needing assisted living.

Picked for combination with independent living and overall opportunities to improve quality of life. I would recommend to others.

When it comes to the activities - my understanding is that they do not have an activities director, and it shows. For over two months now. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families and we actual have a friend moving their loved one into Merrill Gardens

The people were great and worked with us to quickly get them in. The administrative team were great. Nurse head was 30-40 minutes late to the evaluation. Our loved ones overall like the meals and dining service. The community however is all expensive but we would absolutely recommend Merrill Gardens at Woodstock to other families based on the experience we have had

I was fortunate enough to have toured this community recently and have to say that it is absolutely one of the nicest senior living communities I have seen. The building was clean, well maintained, staff were friendly and the memory care was odor free.

The overall experience, the cleanliness of the community, friendliness of the staff as well as the meals and dining has been an excellent experience. I would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

My Mother is very happy here, I was worried cause she has never lived alone. Saving Grace is the company that take care of her, this is a senior living apartments that have care if needed. They serve three meals a day, they do her laundry and clean her apartment. They bring her meals to her if she does not want to go to the dinning room. Every thing is done for, dressing, bathing and diaper changes. They check on her throughout the night. They even help her turn over in bed if needed. Excellent care, highly recommend Truewood.

I found THE place! The open floor plan allows for bright, cheery and inviting community. The bistro is alive with activities. And there is a happy hour every Friday afternoon with live music and fantastic snacks. The apartments are spacious for my needs and the food is a cut above, an everyday menu with specials at every meal that give a variety of different cuisines mixed with the comfort food I grew up with. Everyone I came in contact with were so pleasant.

Everything there is wonderful the staff is very knowledgeable and kind. I would definitely recommend Merrill Gardens at West Chester to others looking.

We were shopping for our parents. We called and set up an appointment and when we arrived we were met by a wonderful representative of the company. He was so helpful. He answered all our questions and even helped us with infomation we hadn't thought about. He made us feel comfortable and when we brought our parents back, they felt the same thing. Everyone (including the people who lived there) was so nice. The time we spent here was well spent and I recommend you check out the Sherwood Ackerly too. What we saw and learned from our representative made the ultimate choice to move our parents there, over the other locations we viewed, very easy. There's a real difference if you know what to look for. Our parents have been happy with the Ackerly, so we've felt we did them a real service by locating them there. By the way, they were hesitant at first to move out of their home, but they have said to us "Why did we wait". Their words spoke volumes and that is why I'm leaving this review.

The Ackerly at Sherwood is a fantastic option for for anyone considering senior living for themselves or their loved ones. The building is clean & well maintained, but more importantly the staff makes me feel special every time that I walk in to visit my loved one. I am always impressed with the quality of food and the events/activities that the community offers to the residents on a daily basis. The Primefit Personal Trainer that is part of their staff has been instrumental in helping my Dad improve his balance and overall fitness level. He looks forward to the daily classes that are offered for free as part of his rent. Additionally, the management team has always been receptive and quick to respond to any feedback that me or my siblings have provided to them. Overall, I highly recommend The Ackerly at Sherwood!

The residents are actively engaged. Communication with staff is great. This place seemed to have the most to offer. This place is great. Amazing staff, meal choices, lots of fun activities. Thank you for helping me find a great place for my Mom.

Have been extremely HAPPY with our choice of Merrill Gardens at Rancho Cucamonga. From touring, applying, moving in, and follow-up- the staff was exceptional!! Likewise, they listened to the different needs to ensure that they took the best "action steps" for a quality of life of our dear one. The facility, dining, activities, etc. are thoughtfully constructed with the goal of making these years enjoyable, productive, and rewarding!

Overall we love Truewood. It is much smaller & more personable than [community name removed]. We have found all of Truewood to be very clean. I keep my mom's apt. clean, but they offer that service. One of the best things about Truewood is their friendliness. Every single person on the staff is always smiling & helpful to the residents & their families. Even when we ask about things written plainly in the manual. :). I believe my mom is in very capable hands. The staff takes no chances w/ the health & especially mobility of the residents. That includes meds that need to be taken in an exact manner. Meals are always an issue for my mom, who cooked for herself forever. What Truewood does is offer a "Cook's Chat" so residents can weigh in on what they like & don't like about the various meals & also gives them a chance to have input into future dishes!! (I think it always smells great!). There are usually 3-4 activities a day which offers something for everyone. My mom is still very active so the chair exercises are a good way to start her day. At Truewood, if you want to do something not on the schedule, you can ask or you can start up something yourself! Cost is relative. Truewood is priceless for me- my mom has friends & people she knows are looking out for her.

I would say great. It's very friendly besides it's a "community". This community has everything to let everyone thrive.

I would say if we couldn't be happier and they should try it. I picked this one because it was the best one for mom in the vicinity she wanted to be. She's very happy there.

All rating questions get 5 stars from me. We are very pleased with Truewood Senior Living Modesto. The facility is in a nice location that is accessible to stores and restaurants.

The facility is top notch, very modern clean, almost like walking into a 5 star hotel. I was greeted with smiles and helpful personnel. Seemed very professional and have not had any issues. My father in law has been moved to hospice which they provide. Very clean and organized, being I'm in another state and have only been there probably 10 time's the staff seemed very nice and most importantly attentive to the patient.
