Oaks Senior Living

Loved the support we got there. I'm not used to cost/ comparison. But this was tough for what he draws. Director was awesome as well as the activities and routine. Based on the experience we have had so far with Oaks at Seneca, we would recommend this community to other families.

My sister has been a resident of The Oaks at Conyers for almost two years. Due to Covic,we've seen changes in the facility both good and bad. The staffing has decreased which has limited some aspects of some amenities offered. Friends who have relatives in other facilities when we compare notes tell me how blessed we are. A therapist once said of the facility that it was one of the best in Conyers.When I have a concern,it is addressed.When I leave,I try to tell the staff, thanks for all that you do. I really appreciate the care that my sister has there. .No place is perfect!

My loved one was a resident at Oaks at Braselton and the experience was great. The cleanliness and friendliness were great. The staff and care services were also great. They were over and beyond in all areas. I would recommend The Oaks at Braselton, as well as their Memory Care and Hospice Care, to family and friends.

The staff appears to be very nice to my love one. They assist me when I need help with him and that I really appreciate. The meals I have seen lately looks very appetizing and his relatives comment on the plate. Thank you for your service.

Everyone there was very friendly, kind, and loving. They took excellent care of my Dad. We picked this community because of the location and the friendliness of the staff.

We recently began the process of looking for respite or long-term care for my grandfather and I literally had no idea where to start. I reached out to [name removed] at The Oaks and we scheduled a lunch date. I am so happy that I did!! She is so knowledgeable in her field and I really felt that she cared about helping me, but also about what is best for my grandfather. After our lunch, I reached out to her multiple times with questions about Pops’ long-term care insurance coverage, financial questions, and just general frustrations/emotions with being a caretaker for my grandfather. Over the next few months, Pops was in and out of the hospital and she consistently reached out to me to check on him/us. When it’s time for him to move in somewhere, I know without a doubt that we’ll choose The Oaks for him. Also a bonus—[name removed] works there now and we had an amazing experience with her at her previous place of employment.

I really love the feeling of this community. It’s feels like a bed and breakfast and is beautifully updated. The residents seem to be very happy and well taken care of. The staff is friendly. I’ve also had the food their dining services coordinator has made, and she can cook!

I am currently working with [name removed] to move my Dad into the Oaks. The experience has been painless as I am being kept well informed providing the info I need. Very cordial communication letting me know what to expect. She has been readily available even on weekends. I should get Dad moved in late this week or the first of next week if all works out. My Dad took a tour and was very pleased with the facility.

This community has such a feeling of family. We toured the facility and was so impressed with the staff members and there interaction with the residents. You get a true feeling of home and genuine love. The accommodations were made to fit any of needs we would have. I just can't explain how welcome they made you feel. We were very impressed.

The staff here is amazing. They always go above and beyond to make lives of their residents better. This is a difficult decision for a lot of people, but the minute you step in the door you feel so welcome and it feels like home!

Mom moved in and it was smooth sailing. Everyone at Oaks was helpful and respectful and went the extra mile receiving boxes and furniture we had sent ahead. Ultimately, mom passed away after less than a month. We reached out to the corporate office and they were thoughtful enough to return our nonrefundable deposit. Bless the Oaks!

All facilities need to see family involvement. I would tell others to speak up kindly when you're concerned. Advocacy is important anywhere. I do think they could improve on the food. They could provide more choices for the residents, offer condiments for certain meals, and add in more fresh fruits. As staff gets to know your loved one (my husband), the care increases to your liking. It takes some time to know the little details Overall I would recommend Oaks at Mt. Pleasant to others looking for memory care for their loved ones.

I think that they need to offer more information up front about paperwork families need to take to the doctor and return to the facility when a resident has an appointment. And more details about the process for a change in medications. The staff at Oaks at Seneca are all wonderful, they are all very caring.

I enjoy the Oaks at Grove Park. It's welcoming, the aesthetics (look and feel) are nice and clean, it's definitely a nice show place for family and friends as far as assisted living communities go. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help care for the residents, whether they need a lot of extra care or very little care. They keep an eye out on them which as a daughter of a resident who has dementia, is very comforting. There are only 2 things I would change. At another local community they had a 24x7 staffed front desk. At any time, day or night, there was a human being that a residents family could speak with. I wish the Oaks at Grove Park was staffed for this. It's almost intolerable that you have to go thru a voice mail system in order to get in touch with someone. They do have a nurses phone number that is available to call after hours, 9 pm- 9 am, but they are staffed in the Memory Care unit, not for the general population. While we can call that number, they have to then get in touch with someone on the Assisted Living side and then as a residents child, we have to assume they were able to do what we asked them to do. It's an extra step that I feel is unnecessary. Plus with someone staffed at the front desk 24x7, it provides an extra level of security and comfort for the residents but especially for the residents children. The second thing I would do is communicate more frequently with the residents family from the standpoint of either posting the monthly calendars and weekly menus on the Facebook page as well as emailing that information and upcoming special outings they will be taking. They had 2 apartments left, and one was a 1 BR so we grabbed it as soon as we could. My mother has made several friends and engages with her friends more than she did while in her previous community. The residents are friendly as well and quite frankly, they look out for and seem to take care of each other. At her former community if you needed more care you were looked at differently. At the Oaks, the residents are supportive of one another and welcoming of one another. No community is perfect there are some who are not like that - there are still cliques but nothing like I've seen at other communities. Also the management are very outgoing and friendly towards the residents and their families. They engage with the residents and help out when they can. It was the right decision for us and I'm glad we're there!

The staff members at Oaks at Alpharetta are amazing. They care and respect for one another. This creates an environment where your loved one is brought into this loving family. Based on the experience we have had so far with this community, we would recommend them to other families looking for a place for their loved ones.

Our family had an in person tour with Oaks at Tucker and overall it was a really good tour experience, but while we were there it seemed like there was not a lot of staff members. However they could of been busy with the other residents.

My loved one has been a resident at Oaks at Gracemont for quite some time. Overall, our experience with this facility has been great. I've eaten there with my mom and the meals have been good. The cleanliness and friendliness are great. The quality of care and the staff are also great. I would definitely recommend this facility to family and friends.

The staff at this facility are welcoming and have great customer service. The Director and CRD also exemplify great customer service. The facility is very clean as well. This would be a place I recommend for my elderly parent.
