Happy, happy - very pleasant to call home! It's a very pleasant place to call home! Good food, good entertainment, good neighbors. Those in charge are helpful, friendly and very nice. One big happy family.

Two months ago we moved my brother to assisted living at Anthology of the Plaza from his home of over fifty years. He was resistant and I was anxious. Anthology was brand new with no track record. We soon learned there was nothing to worry about. This is a beautiful, state of the art facility located in a vibrant commercial and cultural part of Kansas City. A review of the monthly activities calendar was enough to assure me that my brother would be fully occupied with an abundance of mind-stretching and body-strengthening exercises designed to meet each resident’s needs. Above all it’s the staff at Anthology that makes this place so special. Not only are they energetic and superbly credentialed but also they are warm, caring people, who are never too busy to stop and chat with a resident or drop by the daily Happy Hour where residents gather with family and friends to tell of their day’s adventures or those of days gone by. It didn’t take long for my brother to settle in and become part of “the gang” as the residents like to call themselves. He has taken the greatest pleasure in decorating his apartment that glows with natural light and views of the Plaza. During my last visit we spent the day careening around Target picking up a few finishing touches (well maybe more than a few). On the way back, as we approached Anthology, he smiled at me and said, “I’m almost home!”

My mom moved into North Point Assisted Living four years ago. She resisted leaving her home, but once there never looked back with regret. She enjoyed socializing with other residents, the games, activities and musical programs. She recently moved into the memory care unit, a difficult transition for anyone to make. But she has been treated with love and gentle care since making the change. Activities are planned for family members to take part in. Our decision for Mom to move into North Pointe has been a great one for us! [Name removed]

We moved in [date removed] and our experience here has been far better than I could have hoped for. Friendly staff, good food and a perfect sized apartment for our needs. The other residents have been easy to be with. Only issue is Direct TV going out when it rains. (That is a Direct TV problem everywhere in the country - not a Waterford problem).

Very caring staff. Attention to detail. Very safe and secure entry and exit. Lots of activities for all residents. All staff cares about each resident.

I enjoyed sharing Thanksgiving meal with Waterford residents and staff. They did an outstanding job making the residents and their families feel loved.

Brookview Meadows is a beautiful building with a great woods view in the back. It features a pool, walking path, and great room for fun activities. When it comes to taking care of your loved ones they are on top of it. Their leadership staff have been there multiple years and create a friendly environment. From large rooms with patios to the food in the dining room your loved ones will love it!

My mom and I came in to tour the Wellington after touring several other community. There was a great difference in the atmosphere. The residents were so friendly and welcoming made us feel right at home. The lady [name removed], who gave us the tour was very knowledgeable, but what stuck out was she knew all the residents by name and you can tell she had a great relationship with them also. She was very personable with my mom and made a great impression on her(which is not easy to do), Thumbs up. The facility was well kept and I loved that the apartment had a nice size kitchen. My mom is looking forward to moving in, in January

My mom lives at the Wellington. We decided to have a family dinner there the other day in the private dining room. I wasn’t sure how it would feel eating in the private dining room, we had five adults and two children under four. The staff quickly dispelled any doubts I had. The staff members ( wait staff and the chef specifically) went above and beyond making us all feel comfortable. It felt like we were at home. They made sure the children were well taken care of.

To the Employees of Rosemont Assisted Living For my parents, [names removed] the decision to leave their home and receive much needed help from strangers was difficult in the beginning. As for my Dad, the question of moving to an assisted living was simple. What’s best for [name removed]? He was fully aware how difficult the strain of daily living was becoming for her. It was difficult for my Mother to come to the realization that she needed help after a lifetime of giving help to all who knew her. Her life was spent defining the meaning of “Caregiver”. Countless casseroles and meals delivered to sick or grieving families began over 65 years ago. It was no small thing for Mom to lose her ability to prepare meals for those she loved. So, the decision was made and our entire family was anxious to see how they would cope. But, with a little time and an abundance of caring and smiling faces they settled in at Rosemont and placed a sign on their door “Home Sweet Home”. There needs to be mentioned that they lived in the only apartment with kitchen cabinets (minus a stove), dining area, huge living room and a separate bedroom large enough for two queen size beds, recliner and a TV. When my Dad passed, there was ample space for me to stay with my Mom and be there for her to grieve and talk about the 46 happy years they spent together. Between my sisters and brother, her grandsons/granddaughters, my brother in laws and myself she was never alone until the day she joined our Dad in Heaven three months after he passed. Being there most of these three months afforded me the opportunity to witness the care and comfort my Mom was given. The staff and I were on a first name basis and no doubt there are those who stood out. They know who they are because they fill the halls everyday with their love and passion to care for the elderly. Thanks to all of the Rosemont office staff, nursing staff, caregivers and support staff for the great care given to my parents who both lived into their 90’s. They deserved the best that you could offer and all of you delivered. Thank You, from their four children, six grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren
