So far our family is liking everything about The Waterford, our mother is really loving the meals and dining service and since she hasn't been there long she hasn't been able to participate in the activities but we see plenty going on. The cleanliness is pretty good but we have had some trouble with the maintenance team showing up. The value for cost is very good.

It is very good for people that have decent level of independence. The community doesn't have any assistance for memory care in the assisted living and haven't talked to us about that either. Some of the activities they have available are van rides, daily exercises, social hours, games and more for the residents to choose from. They don't have specialty groups for male residents and this would be beneficial to those residents.

Overall it's been a good experience. I think the communication is good, and its a friendly place. It's a very nice facility. The only thing I'm concerned about is it seems the staffing level isn't high enough, although I understand that might be a concern at many places right now.

They have been extremely short-staffed. And they have gone through a change in executive director, which has led to an all-over change in management. But I think they're on the mends going forward. We've had some hiccups, but they're at least working through them with us. And the assisted living facility décor is really nice. They have a lot of artwork throughout the entire facility, which is lovely, and different themes for each hallway. It almost feels like you're in a gallery.

My mom was there for one day, and they had to send her to the hospital. When her husband left after visiting, she had some dementia related outbursts and destructive behavior. The woman who ran the place was very evasive. I was very disappointed in how she handled the situation. She seemed more concerned about if they were going to lose money or receive negative reviews. She could have been a little more sympathetic to my situation. I would have wanted my mom to stay there - it looked very nice, and the nurses were very nice. It was just a bad situation, and I can't really fault them for it.

This community is a great value for the money. They have been replacing the chef a few times and been without one for a while . The staff are friendly and the manager seems to be very involved learning everyone's names quickly and about them.
