Memory Care Review- In general the staff that take care of the daily needs of residents are always friendly and helpful. The place itself is nicely decorated, lots of light and nice outdoor space. Activities in MC are also good considering the challenges. The food is marginal at best. The kitchen in memory care isn't stocked properly, glasses too heavy for residents etc. Minimal supplies so someone is always having to run to main kitchen trying to find something. MC courtyard landscaping not kept up like rest of community. Many weeds and overgrown. They take care of the space in early June and then just forget about it. There is only 1 working clothes dryer and it has been that way for months. My point... attention to details and repairs in MC isn't up to par as compared to rest of building. I know I notice more than the residents do. As a care giver you need to stay on top medication management for a loved one. While they administer the meds...sometimes it seems without questioning if it makes sense. I think the med management will be better going forward. Not sure if you could ever give a memory care 5 stars as the nature of the residents makes it a very challenging place to work. Despite having room for improvement, my family member will be staying at Green Oaks as in general it works.

The facility itself is new, nice and clean. The staff turns over often as does management. There is no cohesiveness to how the staff is managed and that negatively affects the service to the residents. It's not a great environment to live out one's final years.

My complaint would be that my Dad needs more care and attention and I just wasn't sure if this was the right fit because it always smelled like pee in his room and when his cloths came back from the wash they still smelled like pee. We were forced to find my Dad another place because he got into an altercation with another resident who were bothering my Dad but we had to leave. But it's ok now, He is at a place and doing much better now.

Dad has had an issue with the food service & quality since day 1. Days when staff doesn't show; limited food; or limited options.

The kitchen staff is the worst. A half hour past the time they're supposed to start serving breakfast, you see no one and when you go to the kitchen they're sitting on their butts telling you to wait. I wish someone would teach "a supposed chef" how to cook an ordinary egg, because they have no idea how to do it. Unbelievably incompetent kitchen staff in every way. There are a couple "resident assistants" with "an attitude and a half". Extremely unfriendly and just downright miserable" and everyone knows who they are but no one does anything about it.

The meal service have steadily declined. The meals are served cold, quality is just not the same in one years time. Staff turnover is a nightmare for Crestview. The number of activities are less. The guest performances on Fridays at happy hour have diminished (they say the can't afford). The cost of rent has been raised twice since moving in I believe. Raise is causing many to move. Most staff members are fabulous. They are understaffed for housekeeping and nutritional services.

There has been significant turnover in staff and workers. We are on the fourth Executive Director in a year. The best aides moved on. Housekeeping is hit and miss. Those most satisfied are bringing their own housekeeper. Families complain about lack of communication at each town hall. The move in process was not complicated. I personally think that the food is not good. However, I require a special diet that no one offers. One good thing is that they publish the menus so I can work around it to eat food that I should. The activities were great and creative for awhile, but have gone downhill in the past few months. The best thing about this place is that it is close to my location for medical appointments and also close to my family.

Seems hospice was more helpful. Enclave was ok at first, but communication could have been better. Once my sister passed away communication stopped. They did not say a word and did not provide a final summary statement.

My loved one was previously a resident at Peakview Assisted Living and Memory Care and while the experience was mixed. During our time, each month was a battle to get anything corrected. I believe there was something going on. Overnight firings for unjust reasons. Hiring of untrained staff. It was interesting, for sure. I spent more time going over bills helping the person in charge of that....meeting with great people who said "I was correct" only to come back and they were fired. The staff was wonderful...the administration there was not what it should have been.

I would tell a friend it's probably as good as the next place. My biggest complaint has been with the business office they raise fees and take the money from our account without any notice, email, phone call. High turnover in staff is very frustrating. We didn't really invest with the staff because they didn't stay. This was at a director of nursing level.

Understaffed, not able to maintain good quality staff members. It takes too long to get service on meals (wait time is very long), food not at the quality that was originally advertised, but, it's fair. Medication being administered okay. Overall it's okay, my loved one wants to stay.

High turnover, but long-term staff is good. The day staff friendliness is great. Management friendliness is okay, they are very slow to respond. It took 10 days to get the results of a UTI test. They can't retain and Activities Director for long, but when one is there it's good.

Overall, the staff are friendly and relatively nice. There are a few that don't have the best attitude, but I think that is due to staff shortages like everywhere else. I do think they could do a better job at getting the residents involved in activities. It is basically up to the resident to search out what is happening and get involved. The food quality seemed to be better a few months ago. It has gone downhill a little bit now. Overall, I think it's a pretty good place. I'm not sure it's worth as much money as they charge. I've had a few problems with communication as far as medications and I would suggest that anyone that puts their loved one there be very cognizant of what they are giving, as far as medicine and just make sure you kind of stay on it and not just assume that they are doing what they are supposed to be doing.

The staff could not be nicer!!! We picked it because it was small, close to my mom and the rooms were nice and spacious

My sister is adjusting a bit better, but she's still requesting better attention to her needs, especially since she's at the top level of care and paying more for each level. Lombard Place has not so far lived up to it's selling pitch, especially for her dialysis needs.

Too much turnover in staff. Difficult to reach managing staff. Clean and new throughout. Day to day staff is very friendly. Management is slow to respond. Too much turnover to have a higher score. Mismanagement of a bad situation with another tenant. Sloping downward as activity director left a couple of months ago and has not been replaced.

The main issue was that skilled nursing was not available on a regular basis. When my dad had fallen and gone to the hospital. I learned from the hospital, that the facility thought my dad needed rehab before returning to the facility. I did not like that the facility did not communicate this with me themselves and that rehab was not available there at the facility. They had told me that rehab was available when I registered him for care.

Follow up to make sure that things are true! For example, I was told a facility bus takes the residents to and from doctors appointments and that is not true. I was also told that a resident could enter at a skill level of 0, which is also untrue. The food is not appealing and the food groups are not always there, i.e. vegetables. There doesn't appear to be a set day for housekeeping and showering, it is just "whenever" the staff has time. Additionally, there is a fee both for carry out and delivery of meals. The delivery fee is double the cost of the carry out fee.

My loved one was previously a resident at The Enclave at Chandler Senior Living. The cleanliness and friendliness were great. The staff was good. However, they don't have enough staff in the Memory Care unit. My loved one fell often. Falls happen, they told me. No, I would not recommend The Enclave at Chandler Senior Living for Memory Care.
