Cedar Lake has been wonderful for my grandmother. The staff is so great with her despite some stubborn tendencies. It is always clean there and there are activities going on throughout the day. I love how they have taken the time to get to know my grandma and know what is important to her and what she enjoys. They know she loves trivia and puzzles and welcome and encourage her to join in. Grandma has made great friends and we, as a family feel comfortable that she is safe and in the best place for her. Just the other day I joined grandma for a fun game of marvelous minds that was followed by an ice cream social. Their website shares pictures of the fun activities that work sometimes doesn't allow us to attend. Thank you Cedar Lake , affectionately known in our family as "the lake house", we appreciate you and your care of grandma.

Our family is very happy with Cedar Lake. They have been very attentive to our loved one. Staff is friendly and we feel really comfortable during our visits. We are able to sleep at night knowing our loved one is cared for in such a wonderful way! We would definitely recommend Cedar Lake!

My "significant other's" mother has been a Cedar Lake resident since its opening, so I have visited her there many times over the past almost two years. The facility has always impressed me with its positive and warm atmosphere, but that is only topped by the quality of administration and staff. The professionals I have interacted with have been unerringly positive and helpful, and show a true interest in the residents. So impressive that, when it became time find some assistance for my own mother, Cedar Lake was a no brainer. Although it has only been two weeks now, it has already been a positive experience for my whole family. While we are all still feeling out the rhythm of life here, there is every expectation that mom is in a situation which will allow her to thrive and be happy. And the early feedback from first time visiting friends are also positive, saying it is a good fit for her.

Today brought another health emergency, and Palmilla staff running to the aid of my loved one. Elizabeth [removed] and her amazing staff give me enormous peace of mind. They step in with all the necessary solutions and loving care. And they keep me fully informed, a trait I greatly appreciate. Thank you one and all.

My Mother-in-law and Father-in-law moved into Cedar Lake the week it opened. She loved it the six months that she lived there. After she passed, he told me that he could not imagine a better place for him to live. The staff is professional, creative and attentive. They work hard to keep him involved. They keep me informed and work with me to keep him comfortable. I visit nearly every other day, and I have never seen a "crabby" care giver. They not only take care of his needs (which are now increasing), but they stop in to see if he needs anything, to share a joke, to give him a hug. When I do need to be out of town, I know he is in good hands. We're lucky to have found Cedar Lake!

My mom has been a resident of Cedar Lake in Lake Zurich for a year now. Our family has been so happy with this community. From the moment my mother moved there last June, she transitioned quickly. The staff and caregivers are friendsly, kind, caring and respectful. They use a variety of activities throughout the day that help keep her mind active and stimulated. The physical building is new and lovely. From the moment we walk through the door, we are greeted by smiling faces and all of the staff goes above and beyond to make sure we are satisfied with the care our mom receives. We consider ourselves very lucky that we found the Cedar Lake Community and really appreciate how much they have helped care for our mom.

Top-notch care and hospitality. We had to find an assisted living place for my brother ASAP when his in-home caregiver got drunk and assaulted him. Shirley at Cedar Lakes jumped through many difficult hoops to help us get my brother relocated to their facility. Joy, Jan, Anna, Terri, and the ENTIRE staff at Cedar Lake went out of their way to welcome my brother and care for him, especially during a crisis episode late one night. Highly recommended.

My Mom was the second person in the door when Cedar Lake opened nearly 2 years ago and we've had nothing but great experiences there. Her apartment and the overall facility are great, but it's the staff that really sets it apart from other facilities. It is very well run. The friendly and knowledgeable folks at the front desk always know where the residents are and what's going on. The Clinical staff and caregivers make a point to get to know each resident well and meet their needs as individuals. The Activities team keeps my Mom busy and happy and has improved her quality of life with all the fun daily events and outings. The Dining Team keep the meals interesting and varied. Everyone is very engaged with the residents and I see nothing but kindness. It has become home to my Mom and she is so happy there. I'm very pleased with every aspect and grateful for the happy life that my Mom enjoys at Cedar Lake.

This is the BEST place someone with memory issues could want! My father-in-law has lived here for one year now and it just keeps getting better. The women who help him daily are kind, caring, considerate and very respectful. They get to know him and his needs and are there for him. Whenever I ask them to "watch out" for something, they do! They are amazing ladies. And the med techs look out for issues and alert us. They are there for not only the resident, but for the family as well. Liz, the manager/nurse in charge, is so fun and loves her residents, it's evident! My only issue would be the lack of activities. There is a residents club but it costs $750/month and really isn't worth it. It did not stimulate my father-in-law in the least. It would be nice to have optional activities for residents (pay as you go). My father-in-law loved taking bus trips but you can only do that if you're in the residents club. There isn't enough for him to participate in (and not sure he would anyway).

One week ago, my father-in-law moved to an apartment at Rigden Farm Senior Living and we are very happy with our choice. I have been impressed both by what is offered and provided, as well as the very friendly and helpful staff. I have especially noticed how very nice the other residents are - who are very social, welcoming and easy to talk to. Many residents like to sit at the front entry or the other common spaces, which is great to see. My father-in-law is experiencing a lot of freedom due to the terrific location of Rigden. He walked to the nearby supermarket (& pharmacy) at the outdoor mall (1 block away) within a couple of days. His independence has been very helpful for his family. Next he plans to take advantage of the city bus line that is practically right outside the front door; in addition to the Ridgen transport service. After that, he hopes to explore further with the nearby bike and pedestrian Power Trail. He is settling in quickly and we are very hopeful he will soon feel 100% at home.

We busted 7 facilities and decided that Lincoln Meadows was the place for my parents. The staff is awesome and Chef Neil's food is incredible. My parents who have a regular breakfast place didn't leave LM for a week after first moving in. We were shocked as they never missed a day at Nonos ever! We couldn't be happier with the activities and how the staff is helping my parents feel at home. I highly recommend them!!!

Lombard Place is truly amazing! The staff are attentive, knowledgeable, caring and professional. Their attention to detail is simply top-notch!! Each staff member is wonderful and they all make the residents and guests feel welcome from the very first step into the facility. Meals are scrumptious and menus are very customizable! I'd rate Lombard Place a first-class experience all around! This facility is a true gem.

My Father has adjusted well to this community and I am pleased. This is a lovely community and everything looks nice and pretty clean. There are some good staff members and some not so good one's . He has gone on a few outing trips, so they do offer good activities. The food is nice, they do serve a well balanced meals. It has been good experience and they are caring for my father well. I would recommend it.

I visited the facility and was impressed with all that was offered. Very clean and a lot of activities to choose from. I would highly recommend Park Meadows to anyone looking for senior living.

Park Meadows was one of the cleanest places we were in. Everyone was so nice and helpful the residents we spoke with talked highly of everything. The easy of getting in and out was great. We enjoyed speaking with everyone there

I work with Vitas Hospice and we have worked in partnership with Park Meadows taking care of many of their residents. They have a compassionate staff that looks after their residents and they have a very active community with many programs to engage their residents and families.

Most of the staff at Homestead truly cares about each resident and goes out of their way to help whenever possible. The residents become family! There are always going to be a couple of employees that are just there to do their job, but this is the exception rather than the rule. The building is going through renovations which will make it nicer than it already is. It is by far the nicest community in the area. The impact on the residents has been kept relatively minor thanks to management efforts. I would live in the community and hope it is still the "Gem of Washington" when I get to that point in my life. Keep up the genuine care for every resident!

Our experience with Southview Assisted Living has been a very good one, so far! The staff is communicative and friendly, and we really appreciate how well they keep us in the loop. They also made the whole move-in process very easy! The facility itself is bright, clean, and well kept, and our loved one seems to have settled in well.

We really enjoyed visitng a family member. We stopped in on our vacation. The staff was very friendly and help us find our way through the building. The dining room seemed to be a delightful experience. Thank you for taking care of our loved one.

Peakview's memory care has been a fantastic, caring, supportive environment for my wife's mother. We have experienced, in another facility, the downside of a beautiful building that promised everything and delivered nothing. Peakview has been the opposite experience for us. They care about their residents (and the resident's families) and respond in quick fashion to any observations and/or concerns that may arise. There is a human element and warmth in Peakview's care for my wife's mother that we found missing elsewhere. It has been almost five months since we moved her in and Peakview continues to provide timely communication and authentically cares about what we, as family members, see and observe regarding the care of our mother. I can't say enough about how timely they are in responding to conversations we have with any caregiver in the facility. They also have doctors who specialize in geriatric care, not just physician's assistants, see her on a regular basis in the comfort of her own room. That is an incredible benefit and very comforting. The staff members in the memory care are all caring, attentive, kind and compassionate people who are working there because they want to do that kind of job, rather than using it as a stepping stone to move on to another job. It is such a refreshing experience. The activities provided are plentiful and the food is great. There is always an option for us as family to bring our mom out of the memory care wing and eat with her in the more formal dining room located in assisted living. She enjoys that experience and the wait staff is consistently kind and friendly to her whenever they see her. Everyone who works at Peakview is always happy to see our mom and lets her know how much they like her. The highest compliment we can give is that we feel Peakview is a good home for our mom, as well as a fun place to visit her. It is a refreshing, positive and protective environment.
