The staff at Plum Creek were exceptionally friendly. The residents we saw seemed happy & content. The facility was neat & clean; however, the grounds were badly in need of attention. Safety of the residents seemed to be a high priority. We had some difficulty understanding the level of charges, but would feel very comfortable having our Mother living there.

I met with [name removed] and was very impressed with both this facility and with [name removed], the activities director. She was very thorough and personable. She went over all of the costs with us and showed me the room that dad could move into. There was only one room left. I was impressed enough that I wrote a $500 deposit, which [name removed] explained would either be refunded should we decide we don't want to place dad here OR it would go towards his first month's rent should he decide to come here. [name removed] then called me on Wednesday afternoon to f/u and ask if I had any more questions or if I had come to a decision. I explained that I was on my way to see another facility and we hope to decide after that. She said she would need to deposit my check by Friday so if we could try to make a decision by then, that would be great. That is my goal as well.

My mom lived there for 3 years. Each year they got better, with activities and staff. Before we moved out my mom needed more care then what was in our plan but they gave her the care she needed regardless of cost. (We did get together and up the charge based on the care needed, that is only fair). My mom's safety was the only issue, they arranged staff accordingly. They also allow cats which was a great comfort for my mom.

CVP's staff are all very caring employees to the residents. From what I have observed. The food is good and the menu has a a variety of items. One area of improvement could be more support for the residents on the main floor regarding loneliness and isolation in their apartments. Perhaps they could be offered and engaged in meaningful volunteer work.
