What our family likes the most about Mount Prospect is the staff. The staff members are very friendly. Wasn't at the facility long enough to make many friends. Very upbeat environment. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families.

[name removed] was an amazing leader and always went above and beyond to serve her clients and their families. The music was great but they need more daily activities. Would be great if my Dad could have found a friend while he was there... The food was pretty bland, it was his biggest complaint

I truly believe that American House Bartlett has added years to my mother's life. Her life at home was holding her dog alone and watching tv all day. Now, she has a wide variety of friends to hang out with. She just celebrated her 96th birthday that they made a big deal out of. They have a doctor that makes house calls there weekly that she thinks the world of. They have monthly family night with a theme. All family members are welcome to come and have dinner. We bring the great grandkids on that night. We bring her dog every Tuesday to visit. It makes her day along with the other folks there and the staff. She loves her room there, the staff and her newly made friends. I highly recommend American House Bartlett for anyone's elderly loved ones!

My brother si a completely different person since he moved in. This staff made it so easy for our family to make the decision and the process was seamless.

When it comes to the friendliness of the staff the American House Employees receive a 5, and the medical team a 3.5 so we would give them an overall 4. There is always something for our loved one to do, the daily routines are super helpful for her. We would absolutely recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

My mom has been there about 9 months now, and we are very satisfied. It was a huge upgrade from the assisted living she was at, in Westland. Like night and day. The laundry and housekeeping staff is attentive and dependable. The field trips and activities are plentiful. The balconeys ate great to look out at all the birds , squirrels etc. There is outdoor seating area for the residents, and a free laundry mat you can use if you want to do your own laundry.

Lovely place. Very clean and fresh. It has a really large outdoor area for residents. It is tucker away, so you don't feel like there is anything else around, very peaceful. Salesman was very knowledgeable.

She's only been there three months, and is very happy with her experience. She says that the food is good an that they have various activities available.

My mom has met many new friends. The only complaint is that they serve liver and onions; and BBQ ribs on the same night...her table has a difficult time deciding! She did talk to the chef about it. The new activities director apparently talks a lot about herself, so they often don't get much accomplished...but my mom loves the activities offered. I think AH is one of the most reasonably priced from what we looked at; it was just what my mom needed.

What I like most about the community is the friendliness of the staff and residents, however at the moment I would not recommend this community because of the food. In order to make those improvements, they need better quantity and consistency.

I loved the staff there. They were so good to my loved one. They do so many great activities for the residents there!

I would definitely recommend American House Cedarlake. The staff are wonderful and there are a variety of activities if the residents choose to participate. The move in process went smoothly and the staff was helpful in orienting my dad to everything he would need to know. The only complaint my dad has had is with the food. The portions are small and he's mentioned several times that the quality is often low and that they often run out of items. He feels it's probably due to budgeting rather the kitchen staff and that for what he pays a month, more money should be allotted for better quality food.

American House is a wonderful independent living facility. I’ve been ver impressed with the staff. They’re knowledgeable and pro. They’ve made sure my Mom is made to feel welcome and comfortable. The food is first rate and the activities are interesting and fun. I highly recommend American House.

Placing my loved one in memory care is the most difficult decision I have made in our married life. As soon as I stepped into the facility, I felt at home right away and I had that feeling of confidence that this is it…my loved one will be cared for safely and lovingly here. The tour was honest and friendly, no frills. The welcome we received from the residents and the staff on admission day was great! There was music, dancing ,singing , cheering, and most of all, everyone greeted us and they certainly made us feel at home! In the subsequent days and weeks of the transition , my concerns were addressed with a smile. And, family members have been very caring and helpful! I witnessed how the staff cared for each resident with compassion and love. Yes, love! Thank you!
