I love American House, it is lovely. Food is good.

American House has been a good place to live.

We had done our best to keep my mom in her own home and independent, with assistance from me. She suffers from dementia. But a few weeks ago I saw on our WIFI cams that she had fallen. I was there in minutes and after two stays in the hospital and a few weeks in rehab, I decided that she needed to be in a "safe" facility. I checked many of the assisted living facilities in our area that offered Memory Care for dementia patients. One of my clients mentioned she had recently place her husband in American House in Zephyrhills and she was pleased with the care he was receiving. We had done our best to keep my mom in her own home and independent, with assistance from me. She suffers from dementia. But a few weeks ago I saw on our WIFI cams that she had fallen. I was there in minutes and after two stays in the hospital and a few weeks in rehab, I decided that she needed to be in a "safe" facility. I have been very pleased with the care my mother receives in this wonderful facility!

Everything about American House East 1 has been great! One thing I really like about this community is somethings its pretty quiet around here. Based on the experience I have with with this community I have already recommended them to other families.

What we like the most about the American House Milford Senior Living community is that our loved one has everything she needs there all under one roof an they do outings and activities and they are good at communicating back to us.

My loved one is a resident at American House Grand Blanc Senior Living and the experience has been great. This facility is a great place and is top notch. The food is excellent. They are in my loved one's room daily to make the bed and to do extra things that are needed. I would recommend this facility to others.

My grandmother has been at American House senior Living for some time now. The staff are always nice and pleasant when I visit and my grandmother says she's always very well taken care of. When I visit, the staff are always so very caring and loving to the residents. It shows that they really care about the residents that live there.

After making the difficult decision to move my dad, I met with AH and had all my questions answered. I left feeling more at peace with my choice. I live in another state-16 hours away, but the staff has been very accommodating from getting paperwork completed to answering any questions/concerns I may have. I know my dad is being given the best possible assistance. I'm very thankful that Westerns are a choice on his television! I can only hope my dad is a blessing to those he is in contact with daily. Take the tour. Ask the questions.

Dad moved to the memory care unit and is safe, well cared for and is able to walk with his sun downing. He gets physical therapy which is included and the staff are so nice to him and my mom. They exercise everyday and play games. He went in using a Walker snd now he doesn’t need it. They cook with them, paint with them and he loves balloon volleyball. Good variety of food. Overall great experience. 5/5

The facility and the staff were great. I have no complaints about anything. It is very clean and there is no odor like there is some other places.

I only had one problem which I was equally responsible for. I used their doctor, but I didn't really sit down with the in-house doctors physician assistant who prescribed the day to day meds and care. I explained that he got constipated and provided miralax for daily use. Apparently it was labeled as needed upon request. My husband was very easy going and they loved him. But when he becomes constipated he gets agitated and aggressive. He is non verbal and could not communicate his problem. He was also continent. I did not pick up on his problem when visiting until he was so backed up and he couldn't locate his room or a bathroom he would go into others rooms to find one. Since it wasn't his room he became aggressive with other residents and staff trying to get him back out. It took three incidents over a two month period until they forced him to go for psych evaluation and drugs. When I finally figured out what the problem was and requested a laxative ( which they only gave if he asked for it -- again he was nonverbal) it was too late to stop the stay at a Geri psych hospital. While there he aspirated. The hospital then returned him to Burlington Creek, got placed on hospice and died of pneumonia a week or so later. When I had him in a small nursing home memory care in Texas before placing him in KC, they gave all patients something daily to keep them regular and encouraged them to drink water several times a day outside of meal times. This apparently was not the practice at Burlington creek. once he was placed on hospice and he neared his last few days, the med tech was super sweet, kind and gentle, and was as loving as a daughter. He was loved there, Burlington Creek and his medical provider just didn't understand the effects of constipation on dementia patients. None of us did.

I highly recommend and have to a couple of people.

Mom moved into mount prospect with the referral from a place for mom. She has made so many friends. They have happy hours, church service and card games every night. She said she should have moved 2 years ago. The food is good and the menu has lots of options. Her favorite is the homemade soups everyday.

I would say that the community of American House Hendersonville is warm, friendly, and caring. My Gran gets good care with friendly caregivers. She is content with being a resident. The memory unit gives compassionate complete care.

The staff was great. Everyone from housekeeping to the additional services. Everyone was always smiling and helpful. Mom had pretty low hunger and we had breakfast and dinner delivered. She went to the dining room for lunch. She'd send me home with the left overs and they were quite good. I highly recommend this facility. In fact, I'll probably end up there when I need assisted living.

American House for senior living is a wonderful community for seniors. Well maintained, independent living with options for continued care, nice facilities, fairly affordable (guess that is relative), friendly staff and accommodating.

My dad was previously a resident at American House East 1. He liked it there. The facility is very homey feeling. The food was excellent. Ultimately, we ended up having to move him to an Assisted Living Facility due to him needing more care. AH East 1 called me a few days ago because they knew where my dad was going. They wanted to make sure he and I were okay. That is going above and beyond. So appreciated.

The staff is amazing. So very friendly and helpful. They genuinely cared for my mother and for my family. It was so refreshing seeing staff that actually liked being at work and interacting with the residents. They made my mother feel so welcomed. She was on hospice when she joined the facility and they treated her with respect. They got her out of bed without me having to beg them to like at her previous facility. They checked on her often and interacted with her like she mattered. The nursing staff went above and beyond for my family at the end and I cannot express gratitude for them. I have recommended the facility to everyone that has asked. They made her final days on this earth peaceful and filled with comfort.

My Mom is very happy there and I can only say good things about American House. I'm so glad we found it.
