American House

What we really like about American House is how professional and easy to work with the staff are. Mom visited for a weekend for respite stay several months ago.

We are very pleased and I'm glad that I chose this community for my friend. This has been an exceptional experience for my friend and they are very happy here. The community is able to provide the care that my friend needs. My friend has been able to make friends with other residents in the community. There are three meals served a day and there and choices for the residents to choose from.

Great experience and mom is happy, costly but average to other facilities thank you for your help in finding the Cedarlake.

The staff are efficient, they get to know their residents, and form a special bond with them. It has been a positive experience so far and I would recommend American House Bartlett.

The staff members at Mount Prospect has exceptional and based on the experience we have had so far we would recommend this community to other families.

The location was a bit further. It felt warm, and homey. We really liked the staff, and this was our second choice, for our loved one.

From the moment you drive up to the facility it is clean and well maintained giving the facility a welcoming feel. This facility is only four years old. The apartments for the residents are just the right size with modern appliances. I have observed how easy the residents can move about with the large open floor plans and hallways. The facility is located in the beautifully well kept area of Wildwood, Missouri. There are upscale restaurants, shopping and entertainment within a safe walking distance. The area offers a wide selection of doctors offices within minutes of the facility. Come tour Anthology of Wildwood and all it has to offer, beautiful scenery, gourmet meals, clean facility, and happy faces! You won’t be disappointed!

I liked the staff-to-patient ratio. They were very aware of my husband's issues and kept me apprised of anything that happened or if he needed to be taken to the hospital. Even after he went on hospice care, they still called me with updates, which I appreciated. Overall it was very nice. The staff were very caring and compassionate, and I really appreciated the good job they did with him.

The staff members are friendly, but I do wish they would deliver food to the elderly who are not able to get down to the dining room without an extra charge - for example for those who are on oxygen 24/7.

American house Grand Blanc is a great place. My mom had to move recently because she needed more assistance than independent living could offer. I would recommend AHGB to any one though. They contract a medical team to help seniors in need but I was not impressed with this particular company. I hear they lost the contract so maybe AH will get a better one in.

Our experience with this facility was wonderful. The community is very welcoming and family oriented. They're great about posting schedules and giving hand outs to encourage family interaction and participation. They have a Family Dinner once a month and encourage families to participate and come have dinner with their loved one's. The food is very good. They offer a good variety of activities and live music, they have several things going on each day. In fact, they offer more live music than any other facility in the area. This stuck out to us, as our loved one's main hobby/interest was music. Our loved one struggled with Cognitive Impairment and the staff frequently worked with him one on one through music therapy. Most facilities wanted to place our loved one into Memory Care, but this one was willing to try Assisted Living first. We're thankful for that, as it worked out very well. He did great in Assisted Living. As to my loved one's passing, I couldn't have asked for more from the staff. When he went into distress and I yelled for a nurse, they were there immediately and handled the situation very well until First Responders arrived to take over. They were very comforting to me during this time. As soon as we removed my loved one's personal belongings, they stopped the billing and reimbursed us for the remainder of the month. That's something we didn't expect and very much appreciated. I have and will continue to recommend this facility to friends and family.

The staff is very friendly and super helpful. The facility is very fine - it's one of the newer buildings they have at American House. It's very clean and neat. They vacuum and take care of the bathrooms regularly. I'm glad my wife is there under their care.

It's pretty clean. They are friendly, and nice. My loved one has not complained about the food. They offer a lot of activities. They are real nice to my loved one, and the other residents. I would recommend to other families.

The main reason for choosing American House Southgate was because it is close to my sister so that way she could go pick him up and visit often. They have been extremely helpful, especially with the whole initial move in process. They are very accommodating. He is always complimenting the food he is served and has never complained. I would highly recommend this facility to others.

We would absolutely recommend the American House Hendersonville to other families, we have been very happy.

The front office is very effective at resolving unit issues and other concerns and reaching out to make new residents feel acclimated and comfortable.

American House East II really does have that home like setting to it, it is very warm, welcoming and overall has a great family like atmosphere to it. It seems like all the staff members and residents alike are more then willing to get to know everyone and meet new friends. The director is amazing and even took over the cooking for an entire day when the chef was out sick. Everyone from top to bottom - secretary, activities director, etc is just so amazing. There meals are great and the activities are really good. There is a wide variety of things to do, but also the residents have enough privacy to just relax on their own. We would absolutely recommend this community to other families and in fact we would even move in ourselves!

Our family had an in person tour and we felt the staff members did a great job but for our loved one it was just not as cozy
