I cannot thank or praise the core staff at Heartis enough! Their friendliness, caring, willingness to help and their level of professionalism in these very challenging times has been amazing!!!. My parents were blessed to be accepted as residents of Heartis Brookfield Senior Living at the tail end of [date removed] Unfortunately, Mom (93) passed away [date removed] from heart issues. This left my Dad (97) without his lifelong wife of 73 years. I have worked in many assisted living environments and nursing homes. At Heartis I have repeatedly witnessed core staff going beyond expectations in caring for my father. They always do this with pleasant attitudes and smiles. Rest assured, they have all done remarkable well at caring for residents and their families under the most stressful circumstances imaginable. Sabine Place, in Orange, Texas has been my father's home since [date removed]. My parents moved in together but when my mother passed away [date removed], her death was handled by the staff with dignity and care. The love and support my father received was a great comfort to our family. My father calls Sabine his home and he tells me often that he is happy there. He is treated respectfully and with dignity. Sabine Place has a caring staff, beautifully decorated facility, and various activities for the residents. Gardening is one of my father's favorite activities along with feeding birds. He tells me he does not want to leave it and live anywhere else. It is easily accessible in the Golden Triangle.

I would tell others that we have loved the experience that our loved one is experiencing here. They have physical therapist and occupational therapist and the community works well with doctor's making house calls. They have been great to work with. I would recommend the community to others. The community has fantastic meals for my loved one three times a day.

We had a good tour at Heartis Clear Lake, and I felt it would have been a suitable place for my parents. It was just up to them to decide which of all the suitable places we saw that they preferred.

Sabine Place is a small assisted living community in the heart of Southeast Texas. The building is very clean and beautiful, with a "big house" feel, not a "facility" feel. The community is like family and the care of loved ones is most important!

Our family had an in person tour and we had a wonderful tour experience, this would of been our second choice but a wonderful second choice.

This seems like a very nice place and everyone seems happy that lives here. Everyone seems to enjoy being here and like they are happy. The staff are very helpful and kind and have always just been agreeable about helping and doing things. A great group of people that we have met so far.

for people who want a place where they can be independent, but also have support - this would be a good environment.

This community is fantastic. All of the food is freshly made and it fits exactly what my mother needs as a diabetic for a long time. The meals fit everyone's lifestyle and that is really impressive to me. They have activities all the time and all of the residents love to participate. You get every penny that you put into this community, they have the best director in housing and making sure that everything and everyone is well taken care of. I am looking for housing also and if I can go here that is where I want to be.

I see the other residents doing activities and they look like they are having a great time at this community. My loved one likes the atmosphere, the friendliness and the staff. My loved one feels like he is in a luxury apartment now and loves it here. The staff speak and have conversation with my loved one often and are there for any needs but we are still getting settled in and services set up.

I love the relationship between myself and some of the staff members. I also love the activities.

I love always having someone to be around and being able to have meals together.

Everything is wonderful from the people to the food. I am as happy as a lark to be here.

I love it here because it's Home! We are all treated like family & everyone is so kind! It does not stink and is so clean.

We chose Dewitt Place mainly because of the location, we were wanting something close to where she resided. The staff is very helpful, especially the nursing staff. They were able to get her a next day appointment with the doctor when we called. If we ever have any questions or issues, they are very responsive. The everyday staff is great too, my mom has some dementia issues and cannot seem to work her TV. Whoever comes in she asks for help and they always do. I would recommend them to others.

I live out of state and the move in process for my brother was efficient and well done. The 2 ladies that I worked with were extremely helpful and cooperative, they have been all around great to work with and made the process easy. My brother has been very pleased with his experience so far from what I have heard.

Everyone is very friendly here. It is not too large of a facility, which is good. The staff are able to take care of each individual person and provide 1:1 attention. They know each individual person and call them by name. I feel like my friend is safe here. They have good safety protocols as well as good Coronavirus protocols. I like the fact that I can sign him out and take him to lunch or Walmart or wherever we would like to go. They're not restrictive about that. Yet, they don't let just anybody come in and take him out. They make sure that person is authorized to do so. The activities are fantastic. There is an activity director named [name removed], and he is fantastic. He makes sure that everybody is aware of all the activities that are available. They do crafts, games, puzzles. Once a week they bake cookies in the mini kitchen off the craft room. They also have a lot of people that come in at least once a week to do a presentation, for instance a singing group or someone who plays piano. They do exercise every morning after breakfast. They have a place out back for those who have green thumb where they can plant their own flowers or cultivate their own little section of garden. They take the residents out as a group on Wednesdays to eat lunch and run errands and just get everybody out and about if they want to. They don't force anybody to do anything, but they do encourage them so they don't just sit in their room all the time. Any time I've called down there, they've taken care of anything I've asked of them. And they are good at calling me if there's a question or issue or decision I need to make. My friend absolutely loves the food. There's a good variety, and the food is of good quality and tastes good. He's happy with the portion sizes, and he looks forward to every meal. I like that there's a place where families can come in and have a private dinner or get-together with their loved one outside of their room. They have an on-site hairstylist, which is so convenient. And the cost for that is very reasonable. I like the fact that they have plenty of medical services there for the residents, and they have their own medical team. They have a physician's assistant that comes in once a week. They take care of all the medications, both ordering and administering them. Every resident has a pendant that they wear, and If they ever need any help, they just push the button. He pushed his by accident once rolling over in bed in the middle of the night, and right away they rushed down the hall to check on him to see if he was okay. So we were very pleased with their response time.

Solstice looked like a really great place. They had good covid protocols when we came in. The staff were all friendly and knew the residents by name. The menu looked good, but they do not offer breakfast which was something we were looking for. It would have been a good choice for us if the location was closer.
