Living at Brookdale Des Plaines has been a very positive experience. Because we don't drive, we appreciate the transportation services to doctor appointments, shopping and going out to restaurants. We tell our friends and relatives this is the right home for us.

My aunt has moved away but her experience overall was good. Concerns about mail security. PACKAGES are not monitored so she kept getting her adult diaper box taken. Had to cancel her subscription. This is a policy change needed and is not in compliance with postal regs.

Nice, Clean facility. Staff is kind and caring for residents. [name removed] and [name removed] do a superb job keeping my mom involved in as many activities as possible. They vary those activities so that no one gets bored doing the same things -- except, of course, those that they truly enjoy. Like Bingo and Jeopardy! Chef [name removed] does a wonderful job with the meals -- quite tasty and varied.

[name removed] was very welcoming, he took his time to show my family and I around the community. He was very informative and transparent about everything for this big stepping stone in transitioning my parents into a senior living community. I feel confident that they will be taken care of. This is their home away from home

I find everyone friendly and helpful from housekeeping to dieting personnel to office personnel. the activity director is very hard working and dedicated.

Very pleasant and comfortable facility, very pleasant atmosphere and lunch was very delicious and filling, observed residents engaged in bingo and watching a movie, some were outside enjoying the sunshine and warm weather.

The community is centered on family and care. Every time I visit, they ensure that I feel warm and welcomed. Their hospitality is unparalleled, making it an excellent workplace and an even better place to bring your loved ones. [names removed] are exceptional individuals, always willing to go the extra mile for any family. Truly remarkable people.

We are very pleased with my friend's living at Overland Park. I see All of the categories as excellent except for activities. Otherwise, my friend is very well taken care of. He needs to participate in activities, like chair exercises. He could really use some encouragement in that area. That would be my only and most important recommendation. He needs the teacher to come get him for the exercises. He sleeps in his chair and needs a push to exercise. Thank you for the opportunity to share my concern.

My wife and I were wanting to visit my wife’s grandmother. We called Morningside with a few questions about meeting with our relative and were greeted by the most friendly administrative assistant. She answered all of our questions with enthusiasm, sensitivity, and joy. Thank you for making our day special. Keep up the great work!

It's a solid 6 for all....lol I had breakfast there and it was amazing! She had a maintenance issue and it was solved within an hour. That said...the facility is a bit different. It is geared more toward independent living. They have full size refrigerators, stove, oven, microwave. A lot of resident cook for themselves, so if they are more on the independent side, it is awesome

Staff did an incredible job making sure all residence were safe and well cared for during hurricane and follow up power outages. This is where you want loved ones to be, especially if you can't get to them in emergency situations. On normal days, the meals, entertainment and community are excellent. Also was one of the most affordable places we looked at for Mom.

both my grandfather and my dad have lived here and we’ve had an amazing experience. The staff genuinely cares and do a good job of taking care of their residence. My dad enjoys the socialization aspects as well as the food and dining together with other residents. Highly highly recommend.

I would tell them that the nursing staff is top notch! I've heard about not so great experiences at other assisted living communities , but they do their best here for sure! Nothing is ever perfect, but it's never going to be!

Caring compassionate staff who are very helpful, happy residents and staff who are eager to please, nice facilities, and grounds, transportation to doctors, shopping , and worship, service, planned community activities and events, nice amenities, very positive experience for my family. The facility is clean and the staff responsive and caring. The value is far better than big cities like Austin.Very pleased with the facility.

Cost have gone up by over 25% in 2 years. Dining is ok, could improve with some home type cooking. Based on the experience we have had, we would recommend this community to other families.

The staff here and the people who live here I’ve been very helpful, lovely and exceptionally nice. I can hardly believe that any place could be as clean special lovely with all the plant life and nature around it and kept in such good condition. It is delightful to be able to live here, and walk my dog out in the courtyard among the beautiful garden. Nature for me is so important and here Aston Gardens there’s so many beautiful trees, the grass, the plants and the care that is taken to keep it neat and clean needs to be bragged about. I just do not believe that there could be a nicer or a better place to live in Aston Gardens .

Based on my moms situation they were able to accommodate and attend to her particular needs. I would recommend Discovery Commons. They watched over my mother until the end.

Heartis is an exceptional facility for memory care! My mother is happy and comfortable and I would recommend Heartis to anyone looking for a safe and inviting place to live. The staff especially the caregivers are unbelievably compassionate and understand the needs of my mom.

You could do as much as You want ...activities wise or none at all. It is safe/ clean/ there is a beautiful backyard with a walking path around the facility 4 times around ... you walk a mile. The administration is Very Friendly/ Caring and Efficient! The bus takes you to shop twice a week and doctors appointments. There is " Home Instead "office in site ..a chapel with Sunday Service. Unisex Beauty Shop... exercises bikes in the activity room... Weekly Wednesday outings to Mall/ Clothing Stores/ Restaurants . There is a Medical " Your Health" in the facility with nurse/ nurse practitioner when you don't feel well. If you need physical therapy there is "Weston Group" ready to help out. The Podiatrist comes about every two months to help with your feet needs. We love it here. It works for us!
