This is a beautiful community with large rooms. Seems like an active group for the most part.

Everything is good, they are doing fine. I don't have any complaints. It's clean and they do what they are supposed to.

We toured this location when we were looking into care options for our loved one. Everything here looked very nice, and all of the staff seemed friendly! It wasn't quite the right fit for Mom though, we thought she might be a bit better off in a smaller community, as she has some ambulatory issues. But they are definitely worth a look if you are looking into senior care!

My mother had been in an assisting living facility for a number of years before their closing forced her relocation to Monticello West. As one of my siblings has remarked, "I wish we'd found it first." The two things I woud oserve that are most noteworthy with respect to the faciliity is that the staff does interact with the residents on a continual basis. My mother would lay in bed 24 X 7 if they let her, but they don't. Secondly, whether from the quality of the food, the fact that the staff won't take no for an answer or a nice facility she has actually been a) eating (a constant battle) and b) feeding herself occasionally. We have been very pleased thus far.

My loved one is having a little trouble settling in, but I think Freedom Village at Holland is doing a good job overall. It's a clean, nice looking community, and the staff have all been very friendly so far. They seem to have a good variety of activities and services they provide for their residents, and they also do a good job with the food!

This was an absolute beautiful place. Would be like living in a resort - however that is why it would not be fit for mom and dad. For them the smaller the better.

My sister was checking it out, but it was a high rise, wouldn't work.

The Village (with Lachelle Gentry) was very new, modern and sophisticated, definitely does not look like a senior living community. I would like to live here myself. This gorgeous multilevel 8 story complex on the waterway is in a very popular area here in The Woodlands. And because it's a popular area the shopping complexes, including grocery stores are packed with limited parking available. Good thing there is a local trolley that stops by every hour for their residents. On site the visitor parking availability is zero due to lot line restrictions (they are working on other options) so they not only have problems with visitor parking but employee parking as well. The interior had extremely wide open hallways, high end lighting with windows at the end of each hall so it doesn't seem so closed in. The kitchens were about the same size as The Forum but with higher ceilings and a more open floor plan. Included are a washer/dryer in the room. Their social areas were big and the exterior balconies were spacious over looking the most beautiful views of local festivals and athletic competitions. Definitely a place to be for an active senior or even a not so active senior. Their Independent Living started from $3600(631sf)-$4500; Assisted Living $4800+ and Memory care $6000+ . They have a life alert style pendant and motion sensors for assisted living. A doctor visits once a week, nursing staff 7am-7pm and medcare through the night. Enrollment fee $3500.

I really like it here! It's a nice looking, clean community, and everyone is very friendly! They've got all sorts of activities and events, and the meals are wonderful. I really like my apartment as well, it has a nice layout, and feels huge! I'd recommend this place!

I am very pleased with Foulk Manor North. My loved one is settling in and loves it.

They had great activities. It was a good experience. The parking was fine. They were a clean community. The staff was very friendly. It’s a good value for the money. I’d recommend the community because we had a good experience.

It was a fine community. My apartment was fine. Everything is clean. The food was not the greatest. They could have done with some better employees – one of whom would be the food manager. He wasn’t qualified to be a food manager.

My loved one doesn’t need any special care. It’s just independent living. Everyone is very friendly. The apartments are nice. I wish they offered an evening meal. They offer a breakfast and a full lunch. If you don’t finish your lunch, they offer a to go container. They have very nice outside areas. We chose it because it was pet friendly and because it was close to us.

They are very clean. The staff is very friendly. They are pretty fast to respond to concerns or requests. I think the residents in the memory care area are mostly kept there, I would like to see them brought to the entertainment in the main lobby, without them needing to have a private caregiver to take them. We liked the initial way that it looked, the cleanliness, and the decorations, it looked stately and well kept.

We toured this community when we were looking into care options for my loved one. This was a nice enough looking community. The staff we met were all friendly and it seemed well run. We didn't quite like the feel of this community, however. It didn't have an atmosphere we felt my loved one would be comfortable in, it felt too clinical.

Monticello West is not the new kid on the block, and that is in its favor. My impression is of comfort, gentility, and warmth. Having visited a bit with some of the residents, I find that most of them previously lived within a short distance from where my mother did, and that "small town feel" is intact. Not every resident wants to have a conversation with each new person they see walking the halls , but most everyone is polite and genuinely friendly. The staff is friendly, kind, and helpful, and make me, as a family member, feel quite welcome. I have enjoyed the presence of dogs, both resident and visiting, and that also is a big plus for me and for the community (in my opinion).
