We picked this community because of the location. They could improve on the heating system. We had to always request for them to do things, as it relates to maintenance. Overall, the place needs to be updated, for maintenace and safety reasons.

Our family had an in person tour with The Watermark at Bellingham, and they were undergoing constructions and given our loved ones mobility limitation's it was just not going to be ideal for her to move in

My mom likes it. The general facility is clean. I like it with the exception of a few things. The staff are nice, but sometimes they don't understand English. The food is not good. It's often too salty. They get her order wrong sometimes. It has gotten better but still needs improvement in some areas. You would think for they price we pay, it would be better. The other thing is the price has gone up, which we're not happy about. People need to take into consideration these are retirees on a fixed income, having to pay for medical appointments and supplies. A Place for Mom was awesome in helping me find Presidential Place. And overall it's decent. They have been nice to my mom. Sometimes things have gone missing from her place. Little maintenance requests can take months to be resolved. I've had to touch up cleaning in her room, so housekeeping could be tightened up in that regard. Certain things could definitely be done better.

My mother loves it at Havenwood. She's really happy with her apartment. She's made some great friends and is really pleased with that. On the more negative side -- they're having a lot of staffing issues right now (which I know is common in a lot of places.). They'll be going through a new management company in April. Our hopes are that this new management can come in an change some of the staffing problems.

The staff were friendly and attentive, but at times overworked. The quality of the food was better than where my loved one was before. The facility was good overall, although I was put off by ongoing construction. Finding parking was a challenge, as was continual noise outside my loved one's room. And there was no end date given for when that would be completed.

We really like the spaciousness and openness of the community

I toured this community and was very underwhelmed. I got a sense that they were more interested in Independent Living than Assisted Living. It felt very corporate to me.

My loved one was there for respite care, and needed nursing care. The food was horrible, and was not appropriate for a diabetic They messed up our billing, and they were supposed to do an auto draft, and they did it later, and they overcharged me. They messed up big time. They did not update me on the level of care that my loved one was receiving. A caregiver was rude, and yelled at my loved one. There was not a coordinated effort with the medication. The people are very enthusiastic but not very welll trained. The nurse practitioner who administered the medical care was excellent.

They are very well-intentioned but don't do as well in execution. Lots of confusion and turnover of people. My Dad says food is horrible and he does not participate in activities. Only about half full.

The implementation team was good. Housekeeping is very friendly. The Doctor is okay. The medical office staff is not responsive, but the front staff is friendly.

Some very good friends of mine live there in INDEPENDENT LIVING. They pay around $[amount removed]/month and are supposed to get weekly cleaning. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. But when they do, it's rarely the same person, then they don't clean very well. Last week the bathroom counter was NOT cleaned at all. She was only there 30 minutes, so how could she? I helped my elderly friend by dusting, yuk it was so dusty and they have requested blinds to be repaired OVER a year ago and are told they have been ordered twice! Now somebody could just go to Home Depot, 1 mile away, but I guess because they are Elderly, they are ignored. I know they must be short on help as it took them 2 hours to get their food and eat in the Bistro and one of the management team was helping, but for $[amount rmoved]/month they shouldn't have to hire outside help to dust and clean bathrooms.

Faulk Manor is going through renovations. They are understaffed and communication with them is poor. Nevertheless we put mom here. She is in memory care. One day we called to let them know we were having lunch with mom that day. When we arrived we let the staff know that we called ahead and we were seated in the dining room with mom. A few minutes later we were asked to leave because apparently we were seated in the wrong place and they didn't have enough food for us. We found that experience to be incredibly rude. On another day we took mom down to a musical activity on the 1st floor. The activity was cancelled because of lack of attendance.

They need more staff. Hopefully when the renovations are complete, things will be better there.

I toured this facility and it was ok. It's older. They've revamped it, but the floor plan is still older style and not open and inclusive like most newer facilities.

We toured Clarendale at Bellevue Place and we knew none of the people beforehand, we had no previous contact with any of them. We chose another community because of it's homey atmosphere; the people have been great and we've had no complications in working with them. My loved one has appreciated the attention she's gotten. She likes the food overall, which has been good. Clarendale was a very nice facility, but it doesn't have that homey atmosphere that the community we chose has. The people there were nice, it just didn't have the feeling we wanted for our loved one. There may be people out there who might feel the complete opposite, but this was just our experience and preference. It just didn't fit us.

Good community. They had smaller kitchenettes and the community was in need of some renovations.

They do need to hire more staff -they are extremely understaffed which is the biggest problem. The quality of food is not good either, they are not providing well balanced meals for seniors.

Day staff was great, evening staff not as much. The evening staff seemed to be younger and not as experienced and compassionate. The facility was pretty clean in general, but mom's room was never as clean as it should have been. There were a couple of aides that went out of their way to clean and do extra things for mom. They had to move aides around on different floors/levels of care during Covid outbreaks and some of the staff was very overwhelmed and didn't know how to perform on different floors. In general, they provided adequate care for my mom. The nurses were good, but could have been better. My mom didn't always want to go for meals, sometimes she wasn't hungry. In those cases, they would bring her a meal and charge extra for it. We didn't know that at first, but eventually discovered the charge. The meals they brought to her didn't always follow her needs, ie: they would bring her bacon and she has high blood pressure and it would cause swelling. Or they would bring things she wouldn't eat, but would be charged for. They weren't clear about what the levels of care included, even when I asked. Independent living I would recommend, but assisted living I would not. The administration was never good about returning phone calls. We also never received condolences or any contact from them at all after mom's passing.

My family member hates living there. She hates being awakened at 5:30 am to shower and having to go to bed by 9:00pm in order to receive assistance. She dislikes the food and finds the other residents unfriendly. The "free tv" only provides 2 channels and the WIFI is spotty. The accountant does not submit her bill to her insurance company as promised, so it is proving to be extremely expensive. The whole experience has been tremendously disappointing.
