In spite of lack of employees the staff bends over backwards to make us comfortable and with a big smile on their faces.

Good value friendly people. We are well taken care of.

They're very cooperative and friendly. It's a very nice place and looks exceptional. It's decorated nicely, and they decorate for the different holidays. It's just a very pleasant atmosphere. I would live there myself. Really the only issue is the food is not up to par. My loved one and the other residents complain daily. I've complained to Truewood, and they say they have a new cook. But it hasn't improved with the new cook.

Have only been here about 5 months, so far for me I like. There are some issues with maintenance that are inconvenient(but being addressed). Food is good and I feel pretty safe here, employees are friendly. Project Manager is making changes. There is transportation available but only 1/2 day from 7:00 -12:30. I think but you can set up ride service with West Coniva transportation service or access. (you have to do that) I would say is not perfect, but to month as a good choice.

Since covid maintenance is not working at all. I would just advise to be aware. There are a lot of promises made but there is not as much follow through. This is mainly with maintenance and the urgency to respond to the request. My mom is with nice people but all they talk about is all of the issues but she is happy and that's what matters.

This is our first experience but we are happy with the community and it has been a good experience. They have activities like bus trips, singing sessions, bingo and more for the residents to do to stay busy.

We chose Truewood by Merrill because of the value for the money as well as the convenience for me so I can be there quickly if need be. The layout of the facility is nice, it is 2 floors and the lower level has the dining room but then the activities and the residents rooms are all on the second floor which is nice. Overall, I would recommend to others looking.

Our loved one has not moved in yet, but the staff we have spoke with have been great. On our tour we were able to see the entire facility and it is immaculate. We saw some activities going on, we saw the movie theater, exercise rooms and the dining area. We also go to eat there and everything was good. The community also sends out notices to the families if any residents or staff members test positive for covid. They are been very cautious, and to enter the community you have to prove if you have passed a negative covid test, and still get your temperature checked.

Our family had an in person tour and this community had a real possibility but at the time our loved one was just not ready to move.

I been hear for 4 years and I am happy here. They are always trying to improve that work.

It's pretty nice here. With Covid, it could be a lot better. There are no activities at all right now. I think in the long run it will get better, but right now it's not the best. The food is off and on - sometimes it's good, then other times not. But the staff are very good. They're very nice and helpful. And my apartment is very good as well.

The caregivers are just wonderful. And one of my minsters came to see me the other day and commented on how different it was here under the new ownership. Everyone is so friendly. And they do anything to help you. I like my apartment very much. It's roomy, and it's homey. And it looks out over the garden, which is nice. I am a Celiac, so that's been a struggle. It's a constant question of Can you eat this, Can you eat that? Every day. But that would be any place I would go. And they're at least interested in trying to accommodate that for me. They do have a lot of activities. I just don't care for the ones that they offer.

Truewood by Merrill is a very clean community and the staff members are very nice. The meals and dining service is awesome, we are able to visit with our loved one and eat the same meals and not only do they cater to our loved one but also to our family. The residents are able to mingle in their own community and within their community they all have their own apartments, and their own dining room. Also when it comes to the value for cost they are up front with you about exactly what you are getting and you can even tweak it a little in case there is a service you don't need or want to pay a different way. Also another thing we love, is they allow families to stay over a night. We have a family member staying with our loved one for a week, and she will have her own apartment, she eats all the meals for free and can participate in all the activities, and it is not very expensive at all.

The staff is very good. We've been having some problems in the dining room, and the staff has chipped in to help. People are friendly and cooperative. My apartment is just what I wanted and was expecting. I like the exercise class, which they have 5 times a week. They started showing movies, and I like most of what they show but not all. I don't care for bingo though. They bring in outside entertainment twice a week, and they let me play the piano, which is wonderful.

I think when we toured the community and met everyone it gave us a good impression and the follow through of this was excellent. My loved one seems to enjoy the food. Once in awhile my loved one asks for a specific dish and the chef accommodates this request. It would be nice if the community could update the furniture in some areas of the building.

I would tell others to watch out for the General Manager and their protocols and their pushbacks. Due to the incident with the General Manager this was not the best way to get our loved one settled into the community. I wish things would have gone smoother for the transition with the move in. The community is beautiful and great. I wish visiting hours would be later for us to visit our loved ones. The communication with the staff could be better.

entry way makes the bulidng feel small at first, but it is spacious and open. nice living spaces and clean rooms. expensive for the size of the rooms.

I think it's a great place, especially for the cost. The care is there, and they're accessible. So I have no issues at all. There's always someone there - you just have to pick up the phone and call them, and they're ready and able to help. It's always really clean, nothing out of place, smells good. I would definitely recommend it.

Ask a lot of questions and find out exactly what the community can do for you loved one. The community is neat and clean and the staff is very neat and clean. I would recommend this community to others based on

I love it here for my loved one. There are few quirks that need to be ironed out still. The location is amazing. The billing, meals, and activities could all be improved. The meals are very pricey and the residents run out of money very quickly. The residents are being charged $20 a night for their evening meals. The director puts the exercise program on a computer and doesn't go over instruction. I think there could be more instructions for additional activities that are available. The activities overall are poorly run. Everything is for Catholic and nothing for other religions.
