New Perspective Senior Living

Both my parents lived at New Perspective a few years ago. When I would frequently visit them they always talked about this being home for them. They got to know and care for the staff and fellow residents. They loved their meals as portions were always very generous! They enjoyed going for outings on the bus. I would recommend your loved one or ones to take a tour, get to know the staff, try a home cooked meal and consider making New Perspective their new home!

Southwest Commons has been a fantastic experience for us. The staff are encouraging, detail oriented, dutiful, and very good at following through with doctor's orders. They have completely cleaned up my loved one's skin issues. His skin looks healthier than I've seen in years. The food is very good, and my loved one eats very well here. The community is spotless as well, It's like a home, it's very well-kept. I can't say enough good things about this community. We are definitely very pleased.

When we were looking for a place for my love one this location was actually my first choice. The facility was well run, it was sunny, and bright. However, I had to worry what my love one would be paying. Based on her income it was not a good fit unfortunately.

This property is right on the edge of a forest area around some woods and some trees. They have a newly paved walkway for residents to walk around if they wanted to. The cleanliness of the place is very good. My loved one has someone come in to her apartment every Sunday to clean her apartment. There are also some activities that are offered like bingo, sewing, and art stuff. Once in a while they have an interactive game, like the board game Clue, where it’s a mystery deal and between everyone they have to solve who did what. The food seem to be just fine, they have different meal options daily. Like every Friday would be a fish meal. Overall, I would recommend this location to other families.

I am extremely satisfied and grateful for Brookdale Minnetonka. The food is very good and has lots of variety. The facility is kept very clean and housekeeping comes by twice a week. They have a lot of activities like mental activities, physical activities, they have outdoor time and will have lunch outdoors, they have current events, and sometimes people will bring in animals or do music for the residents. The superior care, knowledge and friendliness of the staff and facility are only a few of the reasons I would rate this a top notch facility and would certainly recommend to anyone in need of Memory Care!

Brookdale is an excellent Senior community. [Removed] provided all the information we would need and a great tour. My Dad's wife must have a kitchen, so it may not be possible at this time, but so glad we took the time to tour.

My Father-in-law is here and everything is going great. We picked this place because it was close to our house and it’s a small environment. They do a lot of activities with him and the other residents like different social events, movies, popcorn socials, and happy hours. The staff is really great. The food is really good (it seems to be a lot of comfort food) and there are different things to choose every day. The facility is kept pretty clean, from what I can see. We had some issues with cleanliness a few weeks ago but they’ve taken care of it after speaking with the management. A lot of the residents are low-functioning, so there isn’t a lot of interaction between them, but the staff is making an effort to get everyone to socialize. I would recommend them.

We toured this community. And we fell in love . It had everything mom needed. The food is always being raved by my mother. The caregivers here are great and helpful. It is alway clean and tidy. She enjoys the activities like bingo and rosary they even have a bus that will take them to walgreens and things like that. The grounds are well maintained. The staff communicates well with the family. I would recommend this community.

I love having my loved one at this community it is very nice and the staff is always helpful to us and our needs. I like that you are treated with respect here your not just a number. And the staff will have weekly meetings about the care of the individual's needs. He joins a stretching class he likes and goes to the smoothie socials. Always clean in here. I would recommend this to my friends and family.

We chose Brookdale for our dad because it felt right coming through the door. Welcoming, friendly, clean, bright, lively with residents out and about. Staff seems to be engaged with the residents most of time. Residents were happy and seemed to love where they live. Trust me I asked them. We popped in several times before making our decision to see all happenings of day and night. We feel they have gone above and beyond to make our dad feel like he is home.

Mix of independent and assisted is great for my uncle who is at the minimum level of assisted care. Facility has heated therapy pool and on site physical therapy/fitness facility which my uncle will use. They also offered several monthly activities that interested my uncle. Finally apt included a small full kitchen with space for a table along with living room and bedroom and bath which will allow my uncle to bring his kitchen table too. Waiting list is 3-4 months which will give my uncle time to get his house ready for sale.

Beautiful, top of the line Senior Living. Unfortunately, the cost was out of reach for my parents and if they could afford it, the location was not optimal.

I have had an exceptional experience with New Perspective in Waconia. Wonderful food, staff and it truly feels like family. What a loving, warm environment!! I recommend this place to anyone looking for a loving home for any family member or themselves!

The care at this community is excellent and the care. I like that they help my father will special needs at mealtime. The meals are a good variety. I like that he is offered physical therapy that has been very helpful for him. The community is clean and has a nice environment for the residents. We would recommend this community for the care and good value for a loved one.

This community was a facility a toured and it went well to see what they have to offer. We decided to choose another community for my mom's needs.

This was a beautiful tour for care for my husband. We like knowing that the staff is caring to the residents. The menu is good and the activities are helpful for the residents that are wanting to participate. We would recommend that others tour this community for the care of a loved one.

My mother-in-law was only here for a short stay and it was so great. The staff was wonderful, caring and you could tell they cared about their residents by how they worked with them. They made sure my mother-in-law kept busy and she enjoyed going to the dining area and the food. The community is bright and clean and this was a very good experience for us. I would definitely recommend a tour here.

This was a nice tour for mom. We liked the community and the staff who were nice and able to answer the questions we had. The environment was nice, but we wanted a community that was a little smaller and more like home. They have a good menu and a nice list of activities. Both my mom and I love this community. It is beautiful and clean inside and out and they offer 3 different sized apartments to choose from which is great. My mom has a cleaning service to help her and the staff here are friendly, attentive and show that they care about their residents here. Mom likes taking walks both inside and out and there are a lot of activities for her to join in if she feels like it. She enjoys going to the dining room for her meals and she likes the food too. We both would recommend the great community.
