The Oaks has been a good experience for [name removed]... just fine in all categories

My mother stayed for two weeks while I got a break. It was relatively easy to set up even from 500 miles away. The staff was helpful and treated the residents well. My mom has dimentia, but she liked it there. There were some minor issues, but it's only because mom didn't get the one on one care like she does when she's home. How could anybody provide that at an affordable price?

My mom has been transitioning from her present home into Oaks. I can't give you much info on staff and activities, but I can comment on her two dining experiences (one lunch and one dinner). She was placed at a table where she immediately enjoyed those who she dined with and enjoyed the food and attentiveness of the service staff. The staff that I've met with as my family has been preparing my mom's apartment have been very accommodating and supportive during this transition.

Overall the cleanliness and food are good to very good, and just like all places they could use a little more staffing

Staff are incredibly kind, attentive, and really know the residents. The facility is bright and clean. I would say that the front office staff is transitioning right now and not always as quick to respond as one would like but that may get better over time. There's also not a lot of regular communication about monthly events (like a newsletter) or an easy way to connect with a resident by phone unless they have their own on hand but these are things that could be easily addressed. We really appreciate that above all else, they are really taking very good care of our loved one.

The staff from top to bottom treat my family like their own. The management especially takes it on themselves to go above and beyond to take good care of your loved one. I'm at peace because my Mom is at peace.

The Oaks is a small facility all on one flow at in easy for residents to get acquainted with each other and caring for them to get around. The atmosphere is resident have freedom to cheese activities they prefer. Staff in well acquainted with residents. Administrative staff in friendly and avaliable.

Across the board 4s. I will say that we have been there just a year this month and in that year we have been through three executive directors and a complete turnover and change in the rest of the administrative staff. We are on basic care (minimal) so I can't speak to what the advanced care level quality is. There is a huge family involvement at the community, which actually is really nice.

At first had a hard time getting responses and help But overall everything has been good except for the Problems in the beginning. The food seems phenomenal and A good variety of food I And my brother likes It and that's what counts. Hopefully He can do more activities. He's just getting there. The place is very nice, clean and attentive. People nice. To Finally have people that care and or helping My brother out is really good and they're doing well. And he's getting better.

I think they have a wonderful kind staff - and they are so sweet to my mom. I would recommend to others.

Executive director is always available for answers and concerns.

I really like that it is a smaller facility, so you really get to know everyone. They have plenty of activities to keep residents busy. Both of the activity directors (AL and MC) are excellent. And they have family night around once per month. The administrative and wellness staff are great.

What we like the most about the Oaks is how kind they were to my mom. Her room was always clean. The food tasted good. They could improve on the music ., it was always a little loud and not from my mom's era.. too current music .. the residents spent a good bit of time just sitting and being bored., but they did do some fun things with them.

My mom enjoys living in her new home at the oaks. They have activities all day and she enjoys the outings. She likes the food they serve. They have a library where she’s always puzzling with someone. When she’s not puzzling, she’s teasing or involved in some other activity. It’s the perfect spot for my mom.

Staff is really friendly, when i am there for a visit and the see that mom is still in her room at lunch or dinner they come ask to make sure she knows its time to eat. On the other side.. if families are taking a tour.. the facility really needs to hire someone to clean the carpet in the main area, just past the entrance way the carpet has been stained with whatever it is, for a few months now. New families touring may be turned away by seeing that. Also no one seemed to know the process of getting a landline phone installed in my moms room.. i had to call AT&T and also Xfinity

it's a simple community. They do not offer much outside of the facility for the residence to go to or do they're very limited. Also on taking residence to doctor appointments and the billing has been incorrect since we moved in five months ago and you cannot speak to anybody in corporate even after leaving several messages. On a positive note, the facility is well laid out & easy for residence to move about. The staff appears to be friendly with the residence. Also, pricing is moderate, which makes the facility affordable for anyone on a fixed income and it's located in a safe and convenient area.

I'm very happy with Mama's specific caregivers. There's always room for improvement but, overall, I'm pleased with the care Mama receives and I feel that she's safe at Oaks.

I think that it's important for each family member makes the time to visit their loved one especially if they're in memory care on a regular basis. This shows the staff that family members are taking an interest in their loved ones' welfare and the staff subconsciously will make an effort to possibly give the resident an extra "look" if you know what I mean.

It is more independent than assisted. I have had to keep calling and sending emails to get care done. The director is hands off and care free. The care coordinator is the same. If a person does not want to do something they don't make them. Mom has gone two weeks without a shower. Food trays will be left in her room for hours. Laundry not done. Most of the care staff are nice but not directive.
