Oaks Senior Living

This has been a pleasant experience for the family and our loved one. The staff have been helpful. The staff communication could use some improvement as there are times it is hard to get ahold of the memory care side when the family has questions. There are three meals a day provided to the residents. Some of the care available includes: medication management and hygiene assistance.

Everything is pretty nice, it is a brand new facility and very clean. The only complaint from her would be the food menu, some things she does not like - but other than that it is a great place. Since she has been here she has done very well. We are happy with the experience and I think they are doing a great job. We would recommend Oaks at Eagles Landing to others looking.

They are awesome and friendly. They are right on top of things. [name removed] one of the chef's knows what my mom likes, and will fix something that she will eat. They do try to get my loved one involved with the activities. It's cheaper than the other options around and the room has more space. They do allow pets.

They offer nice activities, but my loved one has not particiapted yet. We picked this community because it was good fit for my loved one. I get a good feeling when I walk in. They can improve on being more available by phone or in-person, and be more informative on the services that they offer. It would be nice, if they offered an in-take session for new residents.

We picked this community because I felt like this was the place. [name removed] from A Place for Mom, helped to find a facility that was in my loved ones price range. Everyone seems so happy to be there, if they are not dealing with memory loss. Everyone was so friendly. They answered any questions that I had. I woud highy recommend.

Overall, things have been pretty good here. We're still working some things out. Their prescription service is much more pricey than the regular pharmacy and that has been frustrating. I understand it's a process and a part of Assisted Living, but I don't understand the much higher cost. I also wish they would have print outs/schedules for the Menu and the Activities, that would be helpful. Especially for outings when my loved one will need money, if I could know in advance then I would be able to make sure she has money to participate. My loved one isn't happy with the food. She wishes they would serve more homestyle and nutritious meals and that there could be more vegetables offered. I will say the facility is clean and the laundry service is great. The staff is great, too. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

We liked the community and grounds. We preferred the atmosphere at another community better and this community felt bigger than what we needed at the time.

The friendliness of the staff members really stood out to us as well as all of the caregivers - they really seem to genuinely care not only for their clients but for the client's families. Based on our experience we would recommend the Oaks at Charleston community to other families.

We like the Oaks at Beaufort for our loved one because it is one story. It is a smaller community as well and the staff are all very pleasant. However just like everyone else they are struggling with staffing at times, so the quality of care is not always there.

The staff at Oaks look in on my mother 3-4 times a day to make sure she's doing okay. They stay in contact with our family - they call and give us updates, which helps a lot when you can't come and visit every day. We've been very pleased, and she seems to be doing well there. She has improved from when she first moved in, has been getting involved in activities, and we just see a more positive look to her.

Our family had an in person tour and we thought it was a nice tour experience but just not as thrilled about it compared to some other facilities we had checked out.

I toured this community and it was nice. My visual impression wasn't great at first, but got better. The staff was very friendly. I have a friend who had a loved one here and she says the care couldn't have been better for her loved one. We considered this facility as an option.

Our family member is doing well at Oaks at Fayetteville. It's a very nice place. I think they're going through some hard times like everybody else trying to find staff, especially qualified medical staff. But that's the only snag we've had - some medication things. Overall, they've been great. And in searching around before selecting them, we found that it's a good value comparatively to other places.

We had a very positive tour experience with Oaks at Fayetteville. Everyone was super nice. The reason we did not choose them was because we felt more welcomed at another facility and it seemed to fit our loved ones care needs better.

I really like Oaks at Grove Park so far. I think it's a very nice facility. And my family member is getting great care.

It's felt very welcoming here. They were upfront about pricing and what was included. No surprise fees. They offer housekeeping. Trash removed daily. Deep cleaning weekly. The food is outstanding! None of it feels institutional. The portions are healthy, too. There are many activities throughout the week. Most at the facility, but some are out in the community. At least once a week there is live music! Overall the place is very clean. Everyone there seems genuinely happy. I would highly recommend them to family and friends.

It was a great place just need to keep them active. They keep the place very clean and my loved one was taken care of , and the meals were great .They told us in the beginning that they would have lots of activities to keep them busy but that did not happen they need to keep them busy and not let them sit and watch tv or just sit and do nothing. The place is beautiful, and is very friendly, but you just have to be hands on to get really good care if not then they get ok care.

We had a great tour. The woman who ran the place was incredible. I felt that she would have been a lot of the reason we might have chosen them. The facility had a small-town feeling, seemed super clean, and we witnessed them treating everybody with respect. It was not as grand or modern of a facility, but my first impression was a positive one.

The people who worked there, were so nice and helpful. They are wonderful. The food was good but loved one did not eat the food. They had activites, and allowed others to come in and also participate. We picked this community because, it was the most budget friendly.

Camellia Place was beautiful. The facility is very pretty and so clean. It is set up in little cottages which would be great for those who are more anti-social. We did not see a lot of mingling going on between residents. For my dad he would have had to walk from the cottage to the main building to interact with others and we knew that would not happen which was why we decided against them. It seemed like a great choice though!
