Options For Senior America

The caretaker they have been send recently is great but we have had some that were terrible. Some of them were so determined To help only my husband and not me that they made me fell unsafe in my own home. One of them sent me to the hospital by opening windows in the winter in both bedroom and bath when I was in the shower. The breakage rates were awful. Some had very little common knowledge: like how to slice an apple so most of the seeds were not put on my husband's plate.

I have learned some very disturbing things about this facility that i KNOW other families need to know…they do not interview the women that work for them. They are sending people i to our homes they have never once met or seen and i find that reprehensible The person who cares for my father we lucked out on, and just happened to be honest and a super hard worker who was supportive and beautiful towards him. However the two times we had to try to have a sub it was terrible and i would have never continued with the agency had it not been for our full time person I was straight out lied to more than once by the supervisor

There was no facility. The people I talked to on the phone were pleasant and understanding but they were working with the same pool of workers that the other agencies had.

The nurses are nice and they send the same one for a while. But they are not good about getting a substitute when that one can’t come. They often put things away where I can’t find them. They are supposed to fix lunch but most can’t cook well. They tend to keep putting him to sleep instead of doing his therapy. So, he is awake when it is time for me to sleep.

Although the agency provides proficient care at best the fee is extraordinary. We are currently searching for better financial solutions.

It was relatively easy to set up the services and the administrator came out to see the house and she came with the caregiver. She was a really sweet person and willing to work with us. She was a lot shorter than my loved one and he needed help standing out. She did not show a lot of initiative with him. I really liked her a lot as a person, it just was not a good fit from a care perspective. [name removed] who owns Options for Senior America was very nice and flexible with our scheduling needs. I would tell others to just make sure to spend the time finding the right caregiver for your loved one.

Need more business like this

We used this service for a short time before my loved one went into the hospital. We did have an issue in the beginning of getting a different caregiver everyday. We did bring this to their attention and they did resolve the issue. We did have an issue with the caregiver not showing up or not following through on the services my loved one needed. They did make sure my loved one was taking their medication. We are looking into starting the service again when my loved one comes home.

I have been signed up with Options home health company for a little over three weeks to try and get someone to come and help me take care of my mother. They are really having hard time trying to find someone to come out to our house and they do not have a nurse that could make it to our home. The staff have been polite to work with but I think they need to make sure they can accommodate peoples needs before they agree to help them.

We have a very unique situation for my mother and this home health care has done a good job at accommodating our needs for her. The caregivers have been on time to her appointments and have provided her with great care so far. There are always somethings to be improved on but overall we have no complaints with how things are going. I would recommend them to anyone in need of a home health care company.

The first caregiver that came out was great, energetic and right on point with doing everything we asked of them. The second caregiver is also pretty good. They made setting up the service easy and explained everything up front. They do like to have the same person there for five days a week instead of having two people switching days. They were able to accommodate our needs quickly. The company is honest and straight up.

It was a little confusing since the beginning. The first day, A caregiver and nurse came for 4 hours to do an evaluation and I got charged for the 4 hours. Then, the first lady was not a good fit, I would give her a 1 out of 5. Then one day, she said my husband was a handful and she would not be coming anymore. The second lady was very friendly and my husband liked her, but one morning she was 2 hours late and when I called her she said she had slept in. I think they have a lot of improving to do with their staff.

Spoke with this company regarding home health care. Very expensive. But would consider for respite care.

The people from the agency were awesome, Chuck and Donna were very nice. I did have a few issues with the service, both with the caregivers themselves, as well as with billing. They didn't really do a good job of matching us with quality people, and I felt their billing rates were misleading.

My request for 2 hours of care for Saturday and Sunday mornings for my Mom was not compatible with where the caregivers were located nor the number of hours the caregivers wanted to work in one location. This seems to be a theme with multiple providers

Options for Senior America is not a very reliable, does not show up when needed. They also could not provide staff consistantly. I will be looking into other options for my mother.

I only utilize their services two days out of the week and the lady that comes isn't as efficient as she could be. Everything from the light housekeeping to following simple instructions seems to be really hard for the girl to follow. i feel like she could be more engaging with my dad although I am usually not there when she is. I've instructed her to call em if she has any questions and she has yet to do that so I always have to correct the problem when i get home. I have hopes that things will get better but for now I have to be honest with my rating.

My family never actually started services with Options For Senior America because of different circumstances. My rating is strictly based on my contact with them in search of finding the right agency to help my Aunt. When services were to start the caregiver never showed up and I never received a call or notification as to what was next. After all we decided not to use them and would not.

Our experience is mixed. We have been with them for about five weeks, and they would provide someone for four days during the week, and the three day weekend would be a second person. We have had the same person for the weekdays so far, however in four weeks we have had four different weekend people. In general most of the people have been fairly professional, and friendly. The weekend people have had a difficult time with the tasks, and particularly at night. We have not had an issue with scheduling,

We have had one of their ladies here for about five or six weeks. The first woman was fine, but she had to have a fill in for a couple of weeks. They have done fine, but one girl was working all night long and then wanted to sleep all day. They did replace that person with a couple of different people and we have yet to see what they will be like. It really depends on who you get to come out, a lot of them want to talk on their cell phone. The organization has been fine to work with and they have been about average in price. Options did send someone out to interview with us before they came to work. The manager seems like a forthright individual.
