My mom chose Waterford because she liked their 1-bedroom apartment. She called it sunny. We narrowed the search to Waterford and [community removed]. It was a very hard decision between these two but I think my mom made the right decision for her. Waterford made my first cut, narrowing 6 communities down to 3, because I was impressed by the warmth and dedication of the staff. My mom and I also agreed that Waterford had the best food, not even a contest. I was also pleased how fast we were able to get physical and occupational therapists into see my mom. Their efforts easily surpass what she would/has received living alone. My only thought since moving in is that the Waterford seems to be understaffed. This puts a lot of pressure on the current staff. This hasn't really affected my mom's experience but trying to get a hold of them with appropriate follow through has sometimes been challenging for me.

This feels like home. I like my little apartment but I am only there in the evening. I like to spend most of my days in the craft room doing puzzles and visiting with people. I'm a little bit fussy when it come to food so I like that I can order fish if I don't like the menu for the day. I love crafts and Bingo and wish there was even more of that. I love the happy hours & when people come to sing. This has been a nice transition from living in my own house. I've been here 4 years.

It appears they receive the required attention they need. An orientation program for relatives of new residents would have been helpful - medications, laundry, in house doctor, shower assistance, cleaning, bed changing, aides, etc.

My wife and I broke our hips at the same time and were in rehab together. Willow Grove administrators talked to us and we were able to transition there very easily. They were so helpful and took care of all our needs. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a place to stay, temporarily or permanently.

They did a good job of looking after my father. I would recommend to others

The Director of the memory care unit is very committed to delivering quality care and she develops her staff skill set to that end as well.

The apartment is beautiful and spacious; not just a single room like most other assisted living facilities. My mother's apartment has a beautiful bay window in the bedroom and a small porch overlooking a pretty courtyard off of her living room. It also has a small kitchen with lots of cabinets and a full sized refrigerator. The common areas are very nice and the facility has a very homey feel. There are nice communal living rooms on each floor for the residents and their guests to use. There is also a lovely fenced in courtyard with patio furniture and a gazebo. Overall, the staff is attentive, efficient and friendly. The main problem with the staff is the high rate of turnover, which I know is not uncommon in this setting because they are generally overworked, underpaid and under appreciated by the facility owners. There are a lot of activities, crafting and socializing opportunities. The transportation to medical appointments is a huge benefit and the drivers are wonderful. The main and consistent complaint of my mother and her friends at Amberleigh is the poor quality of food. I am there quite often at dinner time and hear their complaints almost every time. Overall, we are very pleased with The Amberleigh and highly impressed with it. We have peace of mind knowing my mother is in a safe, comfortable place and is being well cared for.

They're great! I would recommend. The facilities are great and the staff is even better.

The Waterford facility has taken the steps to create a comfortable, relaxed environment. There are many activities to fill your day offering trips to the neighboring stores and restaurants. I good place for your loved ones to call home

Getting to know the people & settling in. This place is clean & a very nice place to live.

The prices kept going up, so it got a little two on the expensive side... and the food quality did not go up with the price... other than that I really liked it. Also for the price, the internet should have been included

Depends on what it is. Food currently has gone down hill from when she first moved in. Most of the staff makes up for the sub-par food. Food 2-3. Most of staff 4. I would if their loved one has a memory issue like my mom. Most of staff are helpful and supportive.

It's always very clean. Everyone is extremely friendly! Always great activities planned. So happy they added Sunday night dining back!!!

I have been living at The Oaks for five months and am so very glad I moved here. My son and I went shopping when I decided it was time for a move for me. It was love at first sight for me and my son. It was so welcoming, so clean, so inviting, etc. There was only one apartment available and I grabbed it. One of the best decisions I've ever made. Friendly staff that goes that extra mile to be helpful, friendly residents, lots of activities, available trips, etc. Growing old is not for the weak, but The Oaks helps to make it easier.

I'm in Oaks of Plainfield People are really nice. However this food could be better. The cost is good but I could order out if I want to. Thanks for reaching out. I'm happy for now. Thanks for checking. I think most people would be happy here.
