We were in the unfortunate position of having to find a new place for my Mom but wanted a place that could also accommodate my Dad as well. He insisted that he move with Mom. We called "A Place For Mom" and within hours they had a couple of places for us to look at. The Villas At Canterfield is an outstanding facility. The staff, from administrators to care givers are fantastic. They actually had a room that was much better for them than their previous facility which we really hated to have to leave. Overall, a very troubling situation was made so much easier thanks to "A Place For Mom" and The Villas At Canterfield!

This was a luxury place. They had a mahogany bar, leather in the cinema. I didn't like that they had open stairwells though. It was beautiful with the paintings and the woodwork.

My husband spent four months at the Villas before he passed away. Before that he was in another facility that we knew after two weeks we had to find another place. I am so thankful for someone telling me about the Villas. As soon he moved in I knew that they would take good care of him. The caregivers there were so warm and thoughtful. They were always there to take care of his every need. When he did not get up to go eat they were there seeing that he received some nourishment. After he was put in the hospital the rehab we were told by the social worker at the rehab he needed to go to a Nursing Home. I went back to the Villas and spoke with the Director, Dusty Gunn, he told me not too worry he could come back there and they would take care of him. He returned on a Sunday afternoon and died the next day, but in that 24 hour period they were in his room checking on him every hour even though Hospice was there and just comforting my husband. I felt so good knowing that my husband had so many people. Around him at the end telling him how very much they enjoyed getting to know him and that he was very special to them. Thank you everyone at the Villas for taking such good care of my husband. I recommend the Villas Of Canterfield very highly.

I thought that was exceptional. I loved the way that it looked, and everything about it more than any other place. I loved the layout, the staff was really great, and the people were very welcoming. It just wasn't as accessible to me.

All I can rate is the appearance, and it's lovely place, but I don't know about the care or food. All they said was that he didn't qualify. It was a very, very nice facility but strictly assisted living, they couldn't handle combative behavior.

Very happy with facility ,meals and activities. Wish they had guarantied resized beds.

Heron East is so much more than a building or a place where my mother lives. It is a community where she finds security/safety, contentment, and daily structured care which meets her physical needs as well as emotional needs. The family of caregivers there, including the administrative staff, provides an environment in which my mom has found a certain peace, despite her health issues. From the family perspective, we find immediate response to questions and those occasional "system" issues which are always going to arise no matter where we are. We are very grateful for the exceptional care Mom receives at Heron East.

After many visits to see a dear friend that lives at Heron East, we decided to move my Father there too. I am so happy with the move. If was a difficult decision as my Dad has dementia and his needs can sometimes be demanding. It was such a good decision as he is now doing so much better than in his former location at another ALF. It's just wonderful to see him so happy. I just love all the staff. Their entertainment Director is so Great!. He really works to get everyone involved in many activities and I love it that they have so much "live" entertainment and all kinds of interesting outings and different events including a quarterly fun, free, family night with great food and live entertainment. I also enjoy all the nice "quiet" areas, different living rooms and a pool table area. The facility is so beautiful with pretty flowers and plants and a nice fenced pond with lots of turtles. But most of all the staff seem to truly care about the residents. They even voluntarily hung up all our photos and shelving and gave terrific suggestions on decorating when he first moved in. Our family is so happy that we found Heron East. And best of all...the food is fabulous! Dad loves having his eggs just the way he wants them for breakfast. Everything seems to be homemade and I love eating with Dad because the dining room is so pretty and spacious and the food is so yummy and a great atmosphere for visits. It's such a relief, knowing that my Dad is in a clean, safe and loving environment. The staff is so attentive and call me if there's anything unusual going on. I just love how they really care about him and want the best for him. And I love that no matter what the staff's position is, they all help the residents get around and find their rooms or help when needed. The staff really has such a positive attitude and it shows. Consequently, the residents all seem very happy. I just love going there. It's a fun place to be. If your looking for an Assisted Living Facility, you should definitely look into it as it's a wonderful place and my Dad just loves it there and tells me "I wouldn't want to be any place else!".

When I toured Heron House I was impressed with the fact that it felt like home. The staff was extra nice and welcomed me with open arms. As a new resident, I wanted to tell families that I came from living in my own home all of my life. I searched high and low for weeks until I found the perfect place for me. It was important to me that the community I choose was comfortable, clean and was able to help me with my medicine. I also wanted to stay busy. I am not one to sit around. Since I have been here I have made friends through the garden club, card games, movie nights and next week I am signed up to go fishing at one of the local piers. I can't wait! I am so glad I am here!

My loved one enjoys living at The Blake. The activities, food and compassionate staff have created a new "life" for my loved one.

Had tour today. I was shown both the assisted living and memory care areas. I was told my mother would be evaluated to be able to tell me what section would be right for her. My sister thinks my mother may need a skilled nursing facility.

Outstanding! The Director was both knowledgeable and personable. Great daycare program option that would act as a stepping stone to being a resident.

They have been good for my sister because she has made so many friends and become more sociable with people. The assistants for the most part are very attentive. The only negative thing I can say is the bathroom cleaning assistance is not what I would prefer for her. She is unable to keep it up and always complains that they don't clean the floor very often. It used to be great when they had a housekeeper but now it's up to the nursing assistants. I think. The meals are usually pretty good .

So far I have been very pleased with our experience at The Beacon at Gulf Breeze, it is definitely a facility that I would recommend to others. The staff are very helpful, accommodating, and informative. The second party companies that they use for physical therapy, home health, etc. have all been amazing to work with. It is expensive because the price is al a carte. This is a night and day difference from the last facility that we were at, it is a great place.

Out of all of the places that we toured, The Village at Southlake was my favorite personally. It is a nicer and newer place and the staff were great. They did have partners for extra care but when talking with them they were not on staff as often as we would have needed. This is a great place for those who are truly independent who don't need any extra care.

We chose Village Veranda because of the things that they offered and also their price was a little less than some others in the area that we looked into. The room sizes in assisted living are adequate for her needs and she adjusting quite well. The executive director who stepped in in the beginning helped us a lot with the things that we needed to get done and was great. I would absolutely recommend the facility to others looking.

Our family had an in person tour and the tour was very enjoyable, all of the people were very nice but the location was just a little to far away.

My mother has only been there for two months, but I have been impressed by the employees and the quality & care. I am still learning exactly who does what so I'm not always aggravating or bothering someone. Mother is very social and the level of activities have been great for her.
