As far as I can tell, there are no issues at all with Thunderbird. We haven't heard or seen anything negetive about them! The staff are all very helpful, and step in right away when they need to. If we ever have questions to ask, they are right on it! They are close to family, which is great, and they had availability when we needed it. Also, the price is great, and what they offer for the price is even better! We are very pleased!

First of all, I had a great conversation about my mom & her wishes, as well as her needs with Denise Evans-Valdez, the wonderful Senior Living Advisor who was quickly assigned to us by A Place For Mom. Denise gave me a wonderful service (at no charge) which is helping me with mom's enormus transition. Denise not only knew a great place, in the area we wanted (West of Denver: in Lakewood, Wheatridge or S. Arvada), but she also made the appointment for mom & I to visit, tour & dine at The Atria Inn of Lakewood with Tracy Norris! Tracy responded with immediate communication to verify our appointment & the communication with both Tracy & Denise has been excellant all around via phone & email. Denise thought Atria inn would be perfect. That is how it turned out, too! Tracy Norris is just the tops! , as is the warm & friendly staff, headed by the fine Exc. Director, Megan Cianfrance. The entire experience showed their genuine care, consideration, & expertise for working with each other, as well as the residents. The residents looked healthy, involved/engaged with each other, with the staff, and when we met them individually, were friendly & interested in speaking with mom & expressed how they are pleased with living here! Together with the residents, the Atria creates a wonderful, welcoming atmosphere, as well as a safe, healthy, interesting, fun, & attractive place to live. The food is a great surprise, as it was excellant, & actually surpassed the many different communities we visited by a looong shot! There is a great verity & selection, too! Our meals were not only very tasty, but care had been given in the visual presentation. Thank you, Chef Kirk Brooks! The service by Tiffany was professional, graceful, considerate, caring (personal) & positive on all accounts. I enjoyed seeing Tiffany interact with others in both dining rooms, as we had an evening meal up stairs in the smaller dining room on our initial visit & lunch in the main floor dining room on our return visit a few days later. Mom loved to cook & to reach her standards is very special indeed. This is a place where she can dine for the rest of her life with nurishing, wonderful meals, with out having to stress over what she can no longer accomplish herself at this stage of her life. The well appointed apartments we saw, the people we met, the attention to the best life for each individual and respect amongst staff & residents receive all pluses. Both my brother & I feel really good about mom living here. And she was excited by it all on her very first visit! Naturally she was looking at everything she wanted to notice, while my brother & I were checking out all the many features & aspects from our perspectives & check lists. Mom & I have toured nine recommended & researched communities in this seach for mom's new home & we both feel great about Atria Inn. It is not surprising to have my brother agree with us that this is the right place for mom! We three are relieved & grateful to have found Atria Inn at the perfect time! Thank you!

They have a point system here, so I feel like this is a good value. The maintenance people will hang all the pictures for you, at no charge. They took care of adjusting the bed for us, and would have brought extension cords, had we known to ask. They provide a lot of little extras in my opinion. They have crafts, exercise classes, and bingo. I can't think of anything that could be improved at this point. We didn't know little things going in like we had to supply, toilet paper, and things like that, there is always a learning curve. They were very welcoming. Their food is wonderful, they have a menu like a restaraunt and they have two specials for lunch and dinner. They have a salad bar. They have a dietician that has a lot of sugar free options, diabetics and those that have to limit sugar have options here.

We love it. They do an excellent job, we really like it here. They are really clean and friendly. I think we get a pretty fair value. They have a fair amount of activities if I wanted to do them.

So far they've done a great job caring for my loved one, and we have been very pleased with them! It's a very new community, but they're already very on-the-ball when it comes to the staff being friendly and responsive. They're great at engaging the residents and encouraging them to participate in activities. They also work very hard to learn the likes and dislikes of the residents when it comes to food, so they can alter the menu to everyone's tastes.

A good experience all around

We could not be happier with Emeritus at Bear Creek. As soon as my sister and I walked in the door, we were almost positive that we had found the perfect place for our father. Once we had completed the tour, our mind was made up. We were able to put a deposit on a lovely assisted living apartment and make arrangements for Dad to start out in skilled care so he could acclimate to the change in altitude. Everyone has been wonderful and they treat him like family. He will be able to transition from skilled care to assisted living without leaving the building. The food is excellent and he is able to enjoy a glass of wine with his meals if he chooses. There is a very diverse mix of residents and a large number of men so he will have some partners in crime. I would recommend Emeritus at Bear Creek to anyone with a family member that needs care whether it be a bit of assistance or skilled nursing.

This looks like the best place so far. It's close to us so we can visit daily.

Wonderful views, nice size rooms. If visit as respite, may waive part/all of community fee to keep you. Nice porches and sun room. Nice snack room on each floor. Pretty entryway for each room. Hummingbird feeders in summer.

My father-in-law lived at Lincoln Court. We toured the community with Matthew Johnson before moving in. He was very considerate and friendly to us. He made Dad feel right at home from our first visit. Once Dad decided to go ahead and make the move Matthew came to our home with some gifts for Dad to welcome him. They were so well fitted to Dad's likes and needs. We were all very impressed with that. The community was clean and friendly. The staff and the residents all made Dad feel welcome and at home. He truly enjoyed living there. They made his final days happy and secure. We appreciate so much all they did for us and Dad.

My Mother-in-law resides at this facility, and has been there for 2 years. The place is clean, the rooms are clean, my husbands mother just loves it!! They do accept ALTCS, which is a state funded Medical Insurance. They do take all of her Social Security checks, accept for, 100.00. It is called share of cost. It is worth it, she gets soo much from that Home. She is being taken care of in a proper way. We must've went through about 10 different homes, and all of them were awful!!! We finally found this one, and it was perfect! Her daughter from California who comes and visits from time to time, can actually stay there for up to 5 nights, not including meals. Bring a sleeping bag, or a cot!!! All the people there are very nice and answer any questions you might have. Check it out, you will love it.

They are wonderful. They stay on top of things and pay attention. They communicate effectively with the family and residents. She has her own studio. Our family is very happy with the community.

After experiencing pneumonia and another unrelated infection resulting in delirium and a hospital stay, my father's dementia accelerated to the point that he could no longer live independently. After visiting many facilities, my brother and I took a tour of Emeritus at Bear Creek and knew immediately that this was the place for our father. Rami Stoner. Community Relations Director, was a wealth of information. She patiently answered our questions and provided information related to their services. While giving us a tour of the building, she greeted the residents by name, and they all seemed so friendly and well cared for. The facility itself was clean, bright, cheerful, and just smelled like home! Each employee and resident we met greeted us and made us feel welcome. Our father is currently residing in a spacious studio apartment. Daniel Gerson, the Dining Services Director, placed my father at a table with five other gentleman to ensure he would have socialization opportunities at each meal. Daniel also makes it a point to to come out in the dining room to greet the guests and to make sure they are enjoying their meal. Our family has been so pleased with the personal attention my father is receiving. He truly is treated like part of the Emeritus family. I, along with my whole family, highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a place where their loved one will receive excellent care and be treated with dignity.

The gardens of the community is just great and I loved seeing residents working the garden when I was visiting the food Chef Brennan makes is so tasty and I loved that he came out into the dining room to meet me. The executive Director Michelle has been at the community for 20 years!! The apartments are very large and have been updated. The staff is warm and friendly. I love that the dining room is open from 7AM - 7PM!!

It was actualyl really good and I loved this facility; I'm partial to them but they don't do day stays. My dad was in there full time and it was amazing. He got physical therapy, occupational therapy.... he went in in a wheelchair not knowing very much at all because he had a large seizure; he was very scared the first couple of days and they worked with me and my daughter and my father and he came out barely using a walker and wanting to go back and visit, they did a lot for his morale. They had really amazing meals, I wasn't upset having our meals there instead of going out to eat. I would absolutely suggest them. He doesn't have long term care so we had to pay out of pocket but I would find a way to make it happen if he needed to go back.

Thunderbird Retirement Resort is just perfect; it is the most amazing place I could have imagined living in. I absolutely feel at home. They offer so many activities from dancing classes, musicians to anything else you can imagine. The staff here is just amazing, no one has ever acted like you are bothering them when you ask for something or bring something up. The entire staff is hands on and willing to help to include the executive director, I saw the executive director helping the staff set up chairs for the community. Everyone just seems to love what they do. The apartments are very nice and it is just a beautiful community. It is really more like a 4 or 5 star hotel. I would highly recommend this community to anyone. I just can't say enough good things about it.

We chose Winslow Court because it was within budget. It is a very nice community recently brought and it keeps improving. They offered us the best bang for the buck. There is some big remodeling going on they are installing wireless network, indoor movie theatre, ice cream parlor and a lot more. My loved one is very very happy here and we would highly recommend it to anyone.

Overall, 5 of 5. The staff and the facilty made the Broadway stand out from the others we toured. The service has had issues with aides coming in promptly when my mother's been dressing and then there are some problems in communication. Other than that their care service is easily 4 out of 5 stars.

We toured 4 facilities in the Phoenix area and Thunderbird was by far the best -and the best value. We interacted with several of the staff and all were so friendly, professional, and caring. The maintenance staff was terrific getting drapery rods, bedside lamps and pictures hung. We stayed in one of the guest suites for 5 days, getting the folks moved in, and dined with them in the dining room. A great way to get a feel for Thunderbird and its amenities. Mom is looking forward to water aerobics and playing bridge with the ladies she has met. And Dad is looking forward to shooting pool with some of the other men and he especially enjoys the food. Shuttle service to nearby doctors, groceries and other stores will give them the mobility and independence they still want. They're happy in their new home. We're happy to have found Thunderbird!

i contacted numerous assisted living communities in Prescott for my mom in Oct. The Granite Gate staff was most responsive and helpful. While my dad isn't ready to make the decision yet, the staff contacts me on a regular basis to ask how they are doing. One of staff members (Sharon) lives in the same neighborhood as my mom and dad and she has even stopped by their house to bring them dinner! The resident nurse, Mary Ellen has evaluated my mom to determine the level of care that she would need so we can be best prepared when we move her. We have looked at several of the assisted living apt models and learned a lot about the activities and services. We have stopped by on five occassions and the place is positively clean and beautiful every time. The residents seem happy and active and the staff is welcoming and friendly. I can't imagine a better environment for my mom.
