I enjoy living here. so does my wife.

We brought my brother here after he had a stroke. He had been through so much in such a short time ( his wife has just passed away, he lost his house, car, dog …literally everything he cared about). When we found Independence Village it was a godsend. The accommodations are wonderful. The food is excellent. They have such fun activities every day and special events throughout the year for them to enjoy. The staff and all caregivers at Independence Village are amazing. They welcomed him with open arms. He is so happy there. The Regional Director for Laurus Home Care and the Director of Independence Village are such compassionate, knowledgeable and caring women. They treat [name removed], and all their residents, like family. We are grateful to God that my brother can live there. I pray he never has to move.

The community is extremely friendly. The community appears to be clean. They knows my name along with the resident's names. In memory care you have different levels of care needed. My loved one has been able to make a friend to be able to speak to. There are activities; however, I don't always see them. I would like to see more physical therapy offered to my loved one.

My mom has lived at Glen Abbey for over 3 years and our family couldn't ask for a better place for her to be living! Glen Abbey is a beautiful facility with a friendly & caring staff. My mom is well cared for and treated with respect. The staff did an amazing job during the pandemic to keep the residents safe & healthy. She is very happy to be able to enjoy the fun activities at the community once again. I would highly recommend Glen Abbey to anyone looking for a great place for their loved one live!

I would say to check into this community depending on your situation and needs. The staff seem to be very sincere and helpful with my loved one. They really want to help and assist the residents. They have activities like bingo, a game room, puzzles, movie night, a lot of outside entertainment and presentations, karaoke and more for the residents to do to stay busy.

StoryPoint is an excellent senior living community that is very attentive to its residents needs. I work in home health physical therapy as an assistant and staff is very receptive to feedback. they are always helpful.

the premises are comfortable and attractive. the rooms are small, but I will get used to that. the people that work here are so friendly and pleasant and helpful. a very nice place to live.

I love the food and entertainment. everyone is so nice. love to make new friends. always something going on that is fun!

the facility is great and definitely upscale. food is gourmet. activities are welcoming and fun. my parents enjoy very much the staff and the fellowship of the people that live there. maintenance is great if needed. no complaints.

three years ago I came to the Village because my children wanted me to come, but I stay now because I enjoy life here. I can be as independent as I want, but have help when I need it. the staff is exceptionally kind and helpful - to everybody.

I would highly recommend Storypoint Portage to others for their loved ones. The care the staff provide really stands out to me. From the restaurant, to the management to the nursing staff and more they truly care for the residents. They are on top of the game, before you think of something they are already putting things into action to best suit the residents. The food is good, and the meals were served in the resident's rooms to the resident's rooms during the pandemic. The food that was delivered seemed to be meant for the residents that had some dietary restrictions. When I brought up some of the food my loved one likes and dislikes, they immediately made the change for my loved one. Some of the activities available include walking club, art, music, exercise, special themes, field trips, and more for the residents to choose from. The room, housekeeping, linen changes, meals, reminders, and laundry services are included in the monthly price. The staff are good at getting the residents and bring them to activities. There is a weekly manicures and mimosas. The three ladies that run the activities program are wonderful!

it has been 1 yr since I move into Independence Village here in Grand Ledge. after selling my house, what a relief, I feel free here with my new friends, a kind, friendly staff, good food, creative activities, good entertainment, a big happy family and then privacy in my own quiet apt. if that is what I desire! a perfect fit for me.
