Brookdale

My mom was very resistant to going into a senior living facility. But now, sometimes she's too busy to hang out with family because she's having such a good time there. She does say the food is bland and does not taste very fresh.

It is one of the better atmospheres, but it doesn't seem to matter to the residents. If they are sad and missing their family, atmosphere just doesn't matter to them. It's a place I would enjoy living in, except for the urine smell in the module hallway. The rooms smell fine. The cost is extreme, but mom is worth it. The [fee removed] up front fees for admin seems a bit high, but they did throw in a pillow, sheets and blanket and a small refrigerator for drinks. The turnover of staff is ongoing, but the main caregiver for mom is constant, so she hasn't noticed. She's been in Brookdale since July and has recently been put on Hospice, so she receives a lot of comforts care. Her health seems to be improving. All in all I would give each item above a 5.

Staff were very nice. Meals were good. Activities seemed to decrease the longer she was there. There was always a discussion every month about the cost. The communication was poor. Care costs were added without our knowledge. They insisted that we buy and bring our own toilet paper. The financial aspect was very stressful, not always accurately charged. We would get letters from the corporate office saying bill was past due!when it had been paid. Having discussions, questions about the billing every month with the financial person and head person. Every month a different amount. Frequent letters from head office that payment was overdue. The actual staff caring for patients was great.

The staff are very helpful and attentive. Mom is now in assisted living. The staff is prompt with meeting her needs. The rooms are a good size. We got one for mom that has a balcony. It's a large balcony that looks out to the Superstition Mountains.

What we like the most about Brookdale Nohl Ranch is that the staff is very helpful and monitors my mom.

BSL community us a warm and welcoming assisted living facility in Mandeville. The staff go out of their way to make the residents and their families feel at home. The residents and their families feel at home. The resident have a variety of daily activities to keep them active, engaged and social.

Our experience with the team at Brookdale Nacogdoches has been a positive and reliable partnership for several years. The leadership team has always exemplified the highest standard for care and we appreciate their commitment to excellence.

I love it and the people I'm comfortable here and if I need anything there's always someone to help.

Residence you will ever find! I am in my tenth year here. We have a wonderful care staff! We have activities galore! The food is great! We are truly a family! Come and visit.

This is a great place for mom. Very clean and nice apartment. Very attentive staff. Excellent care for medications, cleaning laundry, just push the button if you need anything they are there quickly. I would like to live here.

Mom lived at Brookdale Brighton for eight years. While living there, she was always treated with respect, kindness and like a member of the family. The staff, from "top to bottom", was caring and fun to be around. Brookdale definitely was an excellent choice.

The staff is very caring and attentive to all our family member's needs. The facility is exceptionally clean and well-maintained.

Overall, it was a very good experience. The only complaint is Brookdale making major cost increases two years in a row [fee removed]. Excessive increases in a short period. I was able to negotiate a reduction to the CPI for each year, which was helpful.

Staff is always nice and my cousin, who is a resident, seems to be very happy!
