I am easily able to give each of the above categories a '5'. The last 3 categories might be a lower score, but I considered: meals...they are cooking for a large facility so are not going to always satisfy all appetites, but always have sandwiches to offer as an alternative. Activities... My loved one is not interested in group activities. They offer a wide variety of activities that many residents seem to enjoy. Value for cost...He is in a single person room, which is of course more expensive than sharing a room. I knew that this move was going to be difficult for him, and couldn't imagine him having to deal with a roommate too. I would feel comfortable recommending Prestige to anyone searching for a memory care facility. I spend hours a day with [name removed] almost every day. I feel like part of the family. I want to be called if [he] is upset or they are not able to redirect him. They don't call often, but I appreciate when they do. Most of the time he is able to settle down just talking to me. When I was trying to make a decision about placement, I visited every memory care facility that had a vacancy. I was having a hard time deciding between Prestige and another place but am satisfied that I made the right decision for [him]. The other location also offers a great facility but it was mentioned more than once that 'we don't want people in their rooms, we have several activities every day and we work hard to make sure that every resident participates' I know that [he] does not want to sit and make macaroni necklaces or paint a flower pot. At Prestige he is allowed to say no and his decision is respected. When I was looking at facilities, I had so many questions. Now, I can hardly remember my concerns. Something I found important for [him] - the advice I've read and many people I've talked to recommend having the room set up to make it resemble home. After [he] moved, when I arrived to visit he had all personal items, pictures and toiletries plus his clothes packed in the dirty clothes hamper. I finally realized that he didn't want the room to seem like home. He started off thinking that he was on vacation at a time share. So... I encourage people to trust their instincts and don't expect that their loved one will fit into a mold.

5 for all! Amazing staff, our loved one is struggling with loss of her husband and having to sell her home but she really feels a sense of home and community. We can't say enough about the residents, the staff, the facility and the organization that oversees the residence. The cost is very fair and the amenities have been great. All meals and snacks are included in the monthly rent! We have joined our loved one several times for a small fee; $5.00 and have always enjoyed the food and the choices. We are grateful for A Place for Mom who really facilitated our connecting with multiple places before having to decide. We know we made the right decision and our loved one believes she did too!

While we cater to the immediate neighbors surrounding the Community: [removed] The El Dorado has a high reputation of Safety, Security, Comfortability, Easy-going Seniors and folks who have moved from all over the country.

I'd like the residents go on a few outings. Of course maybe they don't do that due to covid or lack of transportation. I'm not sure if the policy on outings. I will say it is a wonderful place and my loved one has been very happy. The workers are kind and interact with the residents. The staff has been kind to us when we visit. We picked this community because, it was smaller and very home like feeling. We loved [name removed]! It's also close to our home.

We picked this community because, it was newer facility, they had 24 hour nursing staff, and overall value for cost. My advice to other families is to, look for care levels provided and ability to accommodate as health conditions change. Also for staff to resident ratios.

We love the fact that we can come and go as we please - we love that freedom. Our loved ones previous community even though it was independent living was very strict on times, very strict on where our loved one was going, what she was doing etc. We love all the different activities they offer, we love the food and we would definitely recommend Holiday Azalea Park to other families.

The process was simple, easy, the staff handled a great deal of the paperwork, all in all it was a pleasant experience.

So far Solstice has been great. It has been a wonderful, welcoming, and supportive environment for Mom to transition into senior living. They offer a lot of activities. The food seems healthy and good. And the apartment is great, with lots of light.

I appreciated them working with me and my father in all kind of ways. They were very flexible! I also felt heard and taken into consideration when I asked about things. The staff was very caring.

My Dad had real misgivings about going to the Veranda Assisted Living, but the staff engaged my Dad, made sure that he attended the activities and worked with me on which activities each month I wanted them to encourage him to attend. I was surprised at how much care and concern the staff showed my Dad. You would have thought he was their father. Food was very good and Dad enjoyed it He always got his meds on time and his unit was kept clean and laundry done on time. The place was dated when he entered, but the upgrades made a world of difference. WE visited several facilities before selecting Veranda and were not disappointed with our selection.. The staff is tops.

My loved one loves the food. We picked this community because, the tour person was so nice and fantastic. The entire community was kind. You really feel at home, and they are so caring. It's reallu unique, and a large facility which is on 40 acres. It's worth it, and a good value. Overall, I am really happy all around.

Leasing agents [name removed] are fantastic answering all questions, warm, and wonderful. They're both receptive and always there for you! And still there for me!

My parents lived at Brookdale Des Plaines for 18 months until their passing. They had the best care from the entire staff. If I ever had an issue or question, someone would respond almost immediately. The rooms were updated and very spacious. The food was very good. The activities for the residents seemed to be spot on for the elderly. I would highly recommend this facility.

We had a great tour experience with las Villas Del Norte. They were very transparent with us about what they could and could not do for our loved one and we really appreciated that about them. I think they did an outstanding job.

We have had a wonderful experience with Morada Burleson, they are doing a great job. This facility really is the perfect fit for my mom and we have had no complaints what so ever. From the food to the welcome to the care to the attitude of the staff, it has all been amazing. The directors office is right there by the reception desk so she knows what is going on and her door is always open. I would highly recommend Morada to others.

While our loved one was a resident at The Lodge the staff members were great. They were all very welcoming to us and took on a lot of situations, it was a very good place for our loved one. We would without a doubt recommend this community to other families.

I really do like the Capstone Senior Living community and if I ever needed their services again I would go back. However they need to improve and badly improve on their meals and dining service - the meals themselves were good and the wait staff was always super friendly but they were understaffed so the meals most of the time were not served hot or even warm. Sometimes there would be 1 wait staff worker to 40-50 residents.

They, State Street, have been outstanding. My mother is very happy there. They worked tirelessly to get mom a room...even a temp room while her permanent room was being painted. They have all been friendly and helpful. My mom did not want to go to assisted living but has totally changed her mind and is enjoying the freedom it has given her.

My mother is 96 years old and from the start she liked it, now she loves it. She attends the writing group , the flower arrangements , bingo, library, exercise classes, sets on the comfortable large outdoor seating area in the front. She walks with her walker around the building on the sidewalk most days. And of course she really enjoys the beautiful dining area and a delicious food three times a day! We are so thankful we found holiday hilltop estates. My Mom said" I now realize how much stress I was under living alone, even my whole life, here I feel completely comfortable, without the stress!"

My loved one seemed to like the food. We picked this community because, It was a close location, fit within our budget, and it was the best option. It was clean, the ambiance is great compared to others. It was a homey feeling. The staff interacts, and helps if they see residents wondering. They are a very helpful, and caring facillity.
