Overall we have been very pleased with the Summit Place community. We would recommend this community to other families and we have already recommended them to others.

The executive director over Rose Arbor and Wildflower Lodge has retired after only a little more than a year. The sales director is no longer there - I don't know the reason. The director over Wildflower Lodge recently left to take another position - I think after less than two years. It seems there's a lot of turnover in these places. Overall I am happier with this facility than I was with [removed].

Staff turnover seems high. Then. We folks have to learn Moms routines. They could improve on the food by having a dietitian meet with the manager for budget guidance.

I would not hesitate to advise them to join this community. We have had very good experiences with the staff, accommodations, activities, and assistance available. In-house PT and OT, as well as, the nurse practitioners and especially helping hands have been extraordinarily beneficial. The only negative Has been the quality of food and consistency of service in the dining room.

I have been here for 18 months. The employees overall are friendly and very helpful. Activities have been varied and enjoyable. The fact that transportation for doctor's appointments is provided has been extremely helpful.

I have lived here for 5 years and love it. Staff are outgoing and helpful when needed. There are many fun activities: exercise daily, book club, bingo, many card games, educational discussions, planned outings just to name a few. Yet the apartment is quiet and comfortable when alone time is needed. The facility and grounds are clean and updated. This is a great place for Mom or Dad!

It is less expensive than nearly all of the independent living senior communities in the area. In this regard it is a good value. However in the 20 months that I have lived here, my rent has been increased twice, and not at the time my lease would renew. Management (which includes the corporate owner, [name removed]) doesn't really care about what we want or how we feel. We have an elected residents council, but it has no real power. More often than not it is very stressful living here. The dining room was the worst example, although organization things over the last couple of months have gotten better. But all I hear from people who have been here for more than three years was how good the food was back then. I know of one woman who has been here 14 years and has decided to move to another community. I would stress the aspect that it's a very friendly place to live. I am not unhappy that I decided to live there. I love my apartment: it has two bedrooms, and the second one is large enough to accommodate my bookshelves with my books, vinyl records, CDs and DVDs.

Everyone works together well at The woodlands. Any problems can be easily worked out with the staff. My mom is in the memory care area and she is enjoying living there. We see her at least a couple times a week and all is going good.

They have been a great facility for my sister. She's very happy there. Cleaning of the apartments could be improved, they sometimes get a little lax in the bathroom. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend Southern Meadows to other families.

This is a community that truly tries to give its residents the best it can. A change in management helps. It used to be the best in SA. Supposedly scheduled for renovation in spring. Until then years-old carpet will have to do. Menu repetition seems to be common. Until they can hire a chef! Overall it is a great place. Yes, I would recommend to others. Despite the shortcomings this is still a place I would hang my hat. I have checked as far north as Round Rock, fancy Austin communities and, yes, down here in San Antonio. Why did I choose this community? It was all a matter of the quickest response. Sadly, that quick responder no longer works in this community.

What I think The Waterford at Thousand Oaks could improve on would be the replacement of vacant staff positions as well has having better food menu options for the residents.

The staff if generally nice but the food staff is lacking in common skills. Menus are often skimpy and don't follow the one printed. Food could be better.

The marketing director was very instrumental in the choice to place our long time friend at Marquis Place! She has continued to be a bright spot for us when we visit! Her friendliness and sense of humor is very welcome! I have made friends with several residents in my time at weekly visits to our friend! Marquis place is very clean and there seems to be a wide variety of activities for the residents! Our friend’s adjustment to Marquis Place took longer than we hoped for! We are very happy to see he now has friends and people who worry about him! We were really tickled to hear he had weeded the raised garden beds! It’s not home, but is a safe place for our friend and he has people to talk to daily! That means so much !

My first impression when touring Marquis Place was that it is bright and clean and has friendly staff. The rooms are reasonably sized and the amenities include transportation to doctor appointments and outings. There's also a nice courtyard and front porch. [name removed], the Sales Director, was very personable and helpful right from the beginning and became my "go to" person for a while whenever we had a question or any issue, which happens in the beginning of a new living situation. I also personally saw the kindness of the dining room serving staff when I joined in the Christmas party in December. My not-so-compliant friend, who moved into Marquis in December, has adjusted well now after nine months. And other residents seem happy there which I judge from talking to them weekly when visiting my friend. I do not have experience with other assisted living facilities to make a comparison, but I think that Marquis is a good choice.

Don't really have experience with other communities for comparison, but I think it is above average, and in line with the cost. Higher priced communities are probably better.

Love the new friends! More like family! Some issues, rent increase was in excess of ten times what was estimated when I moved in. If the percentage is maintained will probably force me out, along with others!

I would say it is a nice community. It is going through some changes but good ones so far.

The staff that was there while my mom was were really sweet and caring. It was cleaner than most and appeared to be updated and did not smell like a nursing home.

When I was looking for a place to live, the marketing director was very impressive. He kept in contact without becoming pushy. He sent handwritten thank you notes after my visits. He was always on time and informative. As I am preparing to move out of state to be closer to family, I am more aware of how good a representative he is. In my proposed new city I have met marketing people who were not well informed and who thought appointments were suggestions rather than commitments. The Remington marketing director was always on time for appointments and took as much time as I wanted to spend, answering all my questions cheerfully and fully. His attention to details is a large part of why I chose the Remington.
