We chose Bickford of Raytown because they said she could have her meals in her room (since she is unable to walk) at no extra charge. Every other place told us she could not do that or there was a big fee. There was some confusion about that from staff members because it is their policy to charge. That is one issue we have had is internal communication. One person says one thing and someone else says another thing and I have to end up calling the manager to get the truth. But they have been extremely friendly and always try to be very accommodating to our family.

What worries me is keeping my mother mobile and her quality of life good for her. She is 96 and has to keep moving every day so she doesn't end up bed ridden . Because of her balance problem she can't be alone when she is walking. Since her family can't help we have to depend on aids . There never seems to be enough help in a timely manner for someone unable to meet her own needs. My mother likes her home and the staff. I find them always ready to listen in these trying times. It's a good place.

My mom was at Cherryvale Place for about a year. The staff was real friendly and helpful. My mom was on the Alzheimer’s floor. I wished that they had more activities at the time she was there. The big plus of her stay was the front desk receptionist [name removed]. She always greeted us with a warm smile and hello! She was always willing to go out of her way to help us with whatever we had questions or concerns on. She is always warm, loving and helpful to the residents also. A real plus to Cherryvale Place!!

[name removed] the receptionist was very polite and friendly. She is really good with people. She helped me get a part-time job there. I left for personal reasons BUT I really enjoyed my time there and really liked my co-workers.

Ridgeview Place is a very warm and friendly place, The entire staff is always ready to help with any concerns. Everybody is so friendly there.

The CNA's +RNs/LPN's are very nice. They always answer my questions and do what they can to help. The food is ok, I don't know what you can do to make it a little better. I'm not telling you what my father says. I had to clean the windows, there was a white film on them.

The changes in the last year are making things better in the home.

We took a tour at Eagle Pointe Place, and while we thought that the community itself was nice, and that the staff was friendly, it was just too big for my loved one. I did not think that such a large place would be a good fit for us.

While looking at numerous places for my loved one, this facility seemed nice. The feel of the atmosphere seemed pretty homey and they did some updates that made the place more appealing. The size of the rooms was great and the pricing was reasonable too.

The staff here did a great job showing me around and answering all my questions I even enjoyed the luncheon they served me while I was here. This community was very nice and I was considering moving here. I would definitely recommend it to someone looking into a small community.

[Removed] does a great job. We also like the music program and the ministers who come on wed nights. Food could improve.

There are many, many wonderful things I could say about Mansfield Place, but what I value most is the joy-filled, fun, kind, gentle and caring staff. As her family, we are so grateful for this place . . . knowing that our mom is in a place where she is truly loved.

This is a beautifully remodeled community that was reopened a few months ago. I really like the flat rate they are trying to implement. They seem to be trying very hard on getting up to speed with all the new residents coming in and training the new staff. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The staff works with my husband to try and get him to socialize more. They have activities and try to get him to participate. My husband is slowly getting acclimated to his new environment. I have seen residents playing Bingo and other various activities. I've also seen the residents happily watching T.V. There is also a lot of socializing going on in the dining room where there is a staff member who helps keep the conversations going. The community overall is shiny new and clean. The rooms are very nice. It is a very spacious facility with plenty of room to move around with a very nice activity center. They offer water and snacks in-between meals. I would like to thank A Place for Mom for all of their help in finding a place for my husband, and I recommend that my friends also use their service.

This was a very nice facility. It was well maintained and clean. The nurses and staff were able to correctly score my loved one's condition, in terms of the level of care that she would need, but we could not choose this facility in the long run.

My mother's stay at Ridgeview went fairly well! The staff are wonderful people and it is a beautiful facility. My main concern is the fact that the staff is not always fully prepared when faced with adversity. However, they are polite and do what they can to cater to individual needs.

The short time we've used thee services. we are very pleased.

Me and my loved one were able to tour this community. We liked the people they were all very helpful and answered all the questions. This just was not he place for us. The community was to big and we were looking for a smaller more homey place.

My Husband stay at Oakley place was only for 3 weeks it was just to give me a break from everything. It was a nice looking place but I did have my concerns about the community and the staff there. The staff was okay, my husband did fall 3 times and they only called me regarding one fall so I think the communication wasn't the greatest. They do offer activities there so that is nice but the food isn't the best and my husband wasn't to please to with it. My experience with Oakley Place wasn't the best it was okay.

The food could use a up grade does not taste very good i hear other people talking about the taste besides my mom. Some nurses not to friendly,good a little more better care i am still working on that.
