They were changing management quite a bit and inconsistent. Also had a number of issues regarding medicine management and fulfilling agreements for certain care issues. For instance, Mom was supposed to receive morphine and later found they lost it and she didn't get the relief until someone else intervened.

The place is significantly run down, and there is little evidence they are investing in improvements. It doesn't cost much to paint, and many of the common areas in residence buildings are in serious need of updates and at a minimum repainting. The meal program has been a bright spot in our experience.

There dining room staff is pitiful. I've waited over an hour for a few breakfast and a dinner. I would not go back to a restaurant that treated me that way. Their transportation is mediocre, but they do have service on Saturday and Sunday.

Be careful with the medication management by the facility. They were incompetent and my Dad ran out of his medication. They deemed him in capable so they could charge an extra $[removed] a month but he was the one that had to inform them of running out of his meds and tell them when he needed them. Once your family member is put on any type of level one or level two care is extremely difficult to get them move down once they make improvements. Calusa does not want to give up that extra fee. My father, who basically ate fast food and junk food, his whole life complained that the food was terrible and usually serve cold.

The apt was completely redone and a balcony with a great courtyard view. This was a first time experience for us for 3 months while my wife was recovering from surgery so I don't feel I'm experienced enough to offer that judgement. They fell short when it came to activities, transportation and off-site outings.

My mother moved to Gardens of Gainesville a few months back. She has adjusted quite nicely and participates as much as possible. Overall, her transition has been quite positive. There have been a couple instances of concern on my end. Although the staff is friendly, communication is often difficult as answers seem to be vague, uncertain, or unanswered. I am not convinced trash is taken out on a regular basis as 2-3 days will go by and when I return, the same trash bag is still in the bathroom trash can and with incontinence issues makes the room a bit less aromatic. Unfortunately, on two occasions some money appeared to go missing from her wallet. When I reluctantly approached staff about this concern, there was no follow through about my report. Mom is happy and she is close to my home which is a huge plus and has to be the bottom line.

When I visited the site the staff was open and easy to reach. When I signed the contract it was more difficult to reach individuals. My family member was hospitalized after a fall. I received a call trying to come to the hospital to complete the process. I found that a little inconsiderate. I was able to get a portion of my money back but I had to make several contacts and be persistent . I have difficulty recommending this site.

It is an affordable option for many who are looking for a place for their loved ones. The staffing levels are not ideal but they are adequate. We picked this community mainly because of the cost.

We expected to have PT and OT to be available from the beginning of our loved ones stay but that was not accurate. The facility was very clean, and the nurses, PT and OT for the most part were very kind and helpful. We hear the dinners are cold and that it takes a long time for the meals to come out of the kitchen. There does not seem to be enough help in the dining room and the food was not always tasty. The fees for rent are expensive. They do offer a wide variety of activities. The facility is quite lovely, but I think it is best for a resident who is somewhat independent and care for themselves with minimal assist from staff.

The community is clean and some of the staff are friendly and some are short like you are bothering them when asking for care that you are paying for. There have been negative occurrences since our loved one have been there. The large elevator has been out of service multiple times which is very stressful and disappointing. The transport is under staffed and difficult to get appointments schedule. When it comes to laundry some items are getting lost and sometimes never found. There could be more activities planned for all residents. There has been med errors and they do not seem to coordinate care with the family that is involved. For highly cognitive resident, this place is lacking. Sometimes the food is good and other times it is not. One CNA does all the activities and worship. When it comes to the value for cost it is way overpriced!!! They charge for everything they can and then some.

Improvements would be communication with family when resident is having trouble. Improvements with medication pass protocols and training of med techs.

I wish they had more exercise options. Other facilities seem to have many more opportunities for fitness classes. Otherwise the main drawback is the location- it is next to railroad tracks and strip malls with homeless encampments nearby, but when you are inside the facility the experience is very good.

I think this is a great place for someone who is almost completely independent. Call buttons are not responded to sometimes up to two hrs. My loved one has some mobility issues and I feel that staff ignores him since his mobility is a challenge. Getting the doctor to respond for medicine orders or testing took over 3 weeks when my loved one had a UTI. Bedding/laundry is sometimes left wet on floors.

It's probably better than a lot of places - but still not great. Sales will exaggerate to get you to sign. I think they should be more up front on how much memory care is on lock down. Keep in mind that not all who come are the same.

My Mother moved into Fox Ridge about 3 months ago. I feel we were misled about transportation to physician appointments. My Mother has macular degeneration and can no longer drive. We were told transportation would not be an issue. That is not the case. Fox Ridge relies on public transportation for appointments. Fortunately, I have been able to take off work to take her to appointments, but we were led to believe that transportation would be provided. (Fox Ridge has their own busses/vans, so I don't understand why public transportation is used.) The food is awful, and the director of food service is a jerk. Mom pays [fee removed] per month to live there, and definitely does not get her money's worth. If we had to do it over again, I'm not sure we would choose Fox Ridge. Also, management does not make themselves visible/readily available to residents, which I think is a real shame.

Staff there do not change patients there very well on some occasions... hygiene for wheelchair dementia patients is bad at times with depends/adult diapers due to overload on staff. Staff in the memory care unit are less friendly than Sunrise at times. 50% it seems due to long hours, fatigue, or poorer English. Staff upfront are friendly in the front area and better people skills.

With this being my first experience with assistant living idk what the standards are but the could be more attentive to the residents needs. Technology upgrades. Emergency requests need to be communicated around the building.

The social events/activities are awesome. They have a tenants council that is active but the issues seem to go unaddressed or changed. The maintenance and office staff especially including sales and budget need a LOT of work. My parents love the people at front desk, the tenants and activities which is why I haven't moved them. Often they serve inappropriate desserts for seniors and for the money that is being paid. here is an example. They need more variety. The meals need to be more of a variety and balance.

My mom has improved after moving to Tiffany Court but not because of the Team. The is another resident that SCREAMS all the time and nobody addresses it. We have issues with medications incorrectly. I could give higher scores if someone would tell us what type of activities are offered and which ones my Mom does. Very poor communication and the cleanliness of the place leave a little to be desired. If they would simply communicate better it could be a great place.

It just seemed understaffed The permanent staff was nice but there were a lot of temps who I really didn't know And they couldn't know my mom They weren't there often. Mom declined immediately and was dead in four months.
