Five Star Senior Living

Lovely people! Everyone working there was so pleasant and seemed so happy. Was just the perfect environment for my mom.

My loved one is still trying to adjust to living at this community. The staff have been fabulous with trying to help with the adjustment. They have been very nice and supportive of the family. The community is very clean and it is in a good location for us. I would recommend this community.

Heartlands has been very good for [removed]. He likes the food an the staff are very caring with him. I cannot see the whole screen. The only thing I can do is fill in this part. I am only seeing the right hand of the screen.

It has been a fantastic transition for my parents. A warm welcoming and friendly community for them to live and enjoy life! We are all very happy with our decision to come to The Gables

My Mom, a recent Widow, just moved into 5 Star 2 weeks ago. The Move-in Coordinator was fantastic and helped her move in which included assigning staff to assist in hanging pictures, disposing of boxes and securing storage space for her Christmas decorations. Quickly she was oriented to the physical plant, given a tour of the library, beauty salon, gift store and also given her mailbox key and she learned about all the services available to her. The cleaning staff came on that first Monday and did a great job on cleaning the apartment including vacuuming, dusting, cleaning the bathroom and kitchen and laundering her towels and sheets. They change her sheets weekly. She was assigned to a group of residents at dinner so she didn't feel so alone and her granddaughter stayed with her the first few nights. Although she's 90 years old within days she seems at home after living in Florida for over 40 years. Now she goes to Thai Chi class every day and has already experienced pet day where they bring in a few dogs to interact with the residents. Moving to New York from Florida she was required to change her HMO. There is a physician who actually has an office in the building who accepts HMO's so we quickly changed her insurance so that she wouldn't have a coverage issue. There are also a few local pharmacies that deliver. As the weeks go on she will experience with other residents, grocery shopping and going out to local stores with the available 5 Star transportation. Although all her meals are served in the dining room, and are really delicious and nutritious, she has order pizza and Chinese food from local restaurants (which were great) on those days when her granddaughter stays over! She is now waiting for her 91st. Birthday in April when the residence have one big party on the last day of the month and celebrate everyone who has a Birthday in April, and together with the staff they have surf & turf.

We toured this community when looking for my mother. It's very large and all one floor. We felt that my mother wouldn't adjust as well because of the size.She also enjoys looking out the window at the trees and the view in the room was of parking lot and people walking by.

I'am very pleased with my move to this community. It is a wonderful community. The staff is very accommodating, and helpful. They do a good job keeping the community well-kept, and everything looks great. I've tired some of the meals, and the food is very good. I have not had any problems with this community, and I have no complaints. I can see why this community has a good reputation. I would recommend this community, it has been a great experience for me.

Clearwater Commons is an outstanding community with wonderful dinning. I stayed for lunch! I had a tour a few months ago and it was excellent, the young lady was very sweet. Clearwater Commons is a great community and I will be moving in the near future.

It's wonderful so far!My uncle moved here and it's been a complete 180 from the last senior community he was in. He's playing BINGO and he's trying wheelchair Yoga. He got this haircut there and he got so many compliments.I guess he won't be going to his previous hairdresser anymore! He is a part of the veteran's group and goes out to dinner once a month.They work with the VA and take him to his appointments. They also cater to Veterans and offer a discount for those who served. They have an honor wall where they put the pictures of Veterans. They have pictures of the residents and staff alike. The gentleman, [Removed] who drives the bus is a veteran as well.My uncle lost two loved one's after moving in two months ago and Morningview has been very supportive and caring during this time.The staff is so attentive. I'll visit for an hour and they ask me if I need anything.They are good to me and they cater to the residents as well. I love that I can call and they will answer any questions that I have.He is in the assisted living part but I appreciate that they offer individualized care to those in the memory care as well. Everyone here has a smile on their face and the staff knows everyone, including me my name. I am absolutely thrilled with Morningview!

These people here are really good with my mom. The staff could not be better. Mom has gotten involved with some of the activities. The food is good and the community is always clean. We really are pleased with everything.

Excellent, clean, personable, activities, great food served to residents

The staff here has been real good to me. I like that they offer transportation to where I need to go. They also have many activities that I enjoy like the art class and the bingo that they do. The food is good for the most part. The community and my apartment are always clean.

We toured 8 senior living options in Overland Park and by far Overland Park Place was heads above the rest. It was clean, smelled nice, the residents seemed happy, the staff was friendly and supportive ... all wonderful. We moved my father in law in and have been so pleased with everything. Maintenance even came and spent a couple of hours with us hanging pictures, mirrors, etc. we are very happy with this decision.

My loved one is doing very well since her move to this community. The place is clean and well maintained. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful if she needs anything. The meals they provide are great. We are very happy so far.

This is a wonderful place. -The residents seem happy -interaction between staff and residents is wonderful -when we needed maintenance they came quickly and took care of our needs -the dining room staff are cheerful and nice -lots of activities and programs -financially very reasonable -onsite beauty parlor, physical therapy, additional care help if needed, and much more -we like the availability of being able to add more care al la cart if needed -the building is well planned where there are no long walks -my husband and I looked at many places for my father in law and this was hands down the best for the money!

The most expensive place so far. Care starts at $5,500 + for the smallest room. They have three room sizes to pick from, all with great views. They have a chef on staff and a lot of activities. They really try to make the place feel like home and not a nursing care facility.

My mother has been a resident at "The Neighborhood at Tellico Village" since May of 2016. She loves it there and we are happy that she is happy! The staff is kind and helpful. She likes having so many activities to do too.

This is a nice community and we like the wonderful staff that is very caring and attentive to the needs. We are happy with the menu and variety. Activities are offered for when she is wanting to participate with the other residents. The community is very nice and enjoyable. We recommend this care to other families.

The staff has been great here. Everything is excellent and I like it here. The food is excellent and no complaints. They keep this place spic and span all the time. I like that they have a lot of things to do for the residents.

We really liked this place. It was very nice and there were a couple of options that interested us. One of the best we've seen so far.
