Five Star Senior Living

My mother just moved in one week ago and so far everyone has been amazing and helpful and friendly .

She likes the food. I think they could do better with matching roommates (maybe someone younger.) She really likes the activities at the facility. I think the facility does a great job overall and we are please.

My mother in-law was in the ALF. I can't say enough good about the staff, care and homey environment. They were always just a phone call away if you needed to talk with someone about your loved ones care. We went to visit weekly and stopped in when not expected. They are familiar with the needs of older individuals. My mother in-law was a functioning Alzheimer's patient but would have mood swings. They found the correct medication for her to keep her functioning, crocheting etc. without appearing to be medicated at all. They adjusted as was necessary. She was happier than we had seen her all her life. She loved the staff. They called if there were problems and discussed care options. They also put on wonderful holiday and monthly shows for the residents, they took those who were able out to lunch, did daily chair exercises and craft activities as well as a variety of games that they loved to play. They have a lovely dining area, choices of food like ordering off a menu and have a living room like atmosphere with a large screen TV. They also allow those able to go out to sit by the pool and sit on the porch that has a grill for planned picnic like activities. Supervised by staff when necessary. There was one pet dog that was well known by residents and I noticed that at least one person had a white cat in their room. Never saw it out of their room so I'm guessing that it was their personal cat. The staff knew all the residents by name and were very helpful as the same people cared for your loved one daily because they had no one leave their position for years. Many of the staff had been long time employees. The areas were always clean and well kept. Every problem that you brought to their attention was addressed. My mother in law would come to our holiday visits and would ask to go back to her home when she was ready. When we initially placed her in the ALF, her initial attitude was that she admittedly did not want to stay and was verbally and nearly physically abusive about it. Glaring daggers at me. They advised that we not come back for a few days to a week, for her to get used to the idea and they were right. She lived their for many years and was happy and content. The Director, Sue Gianelli knows her stuff when it comes to Senior behavior and medical needs. I would highly recommend.

A lady from my church now lives there and she loves it! It has improved her outlook, her strength, her loneliness, her memory. I am very impressed!!! She is loving meeting all the new people and loves that they are so friendly. She is actually going to exercise class every morning and ready to do some other activities!! What a total blessing!!!!

It's absolutely perfect compared to where she was. We are ecstatic. The people are nice the place is clean. They take her outside, and she is showered, and hair combed. Things are so much better. They were willing to work with me, and were great about getting her up and back to life. I didn't think we could afford it but we could, and the people are all so nice. Jules is so nice and wonderful.

Our experience with Legacy Heights has been a very good one, overall. It is a nice looking place, and the staff is friendly and very attentive to the needs of the residents. The care they provide is excellent.

Everything is going really well at College View Manor. I have no complaints about this facility. The value is good though I have nothing really to compare it to. They have plenty of activities to choose from. I am really pleased with everything here. All high ratings from me.

Love the place, great people to care for your loved ones

We love it at Legacy of Anderson Senior Living Community. I would give them more than 5 stars for friendliness if I could. The only thing is sometimes the meals are almost too fancy. I would prefer more down home cooking. The price is really reasonable for the food though. We appreciate that we can eat here with my parents and it's not too expensive. I feel like my parents are very safe here. We are quite pleased with this facility.

My 84 year old mother recently stayed at the Forum for therapy after a difficult bout with pneumonia. She was so weak she could not even stand alone, we were afraid she would never be able to return home alone again to the house she has lived in and loved for 47 years. A representative from the Forum came to the hospital to meet with us and explain all of her options and what to expect, she told us how my mothers medicare and supplemental insurance worked and even told us how much she would have to pay each day after her insurance coverage ran out. She spent over an hour with us answering all of our questions and even gave us her personal cell phone number in case we thought of any other questions and told us to call her night or day if we had any problems. Well we never had to call her because my mothers care while there was far beyond what we could have ever expected. The nurses and aides were so friendly and genuinely seemed to care about her and made an effort to go out of their way to take care of her. Her therapist were very diligent and patient with her and not only got her back to where she was before the pneumonia but helped her get equipment for home to make life easier and keep her safe. Thank you Forum from the bottom of my heart, your wonderful staff has made such an incredible difference to our whole family!

Morningside of Springfield does such a great job. My sister in law has done so well here. We are really pleased with our experience. Could not say anything negative about it.

I am with Overlook Green Senior Living. Mom has been here only a few months so it is hard to judge too much at this point. She is glad to be around other residents her own age. Mom really needed a place like this.

My mother is fitting in very, very nicely. The staff is very friendly and courteous. Across the board it has been done very well. The sales staff is very good, they accurately portray the property and the experience and it measured up to what I was expecting. The dining and food is excellent. It depends on demand, but I think they could provide a little more for breakfast. I would like to see a little more automated doors as well. Overall, I am very impressed with it and my mom is happy there.

We have only been at The Palms at Lake Spivey a few months but we already love it. We really hope it continues this way. We have heard the food is excellent. The only thing that needs improvement is the facility is not handicap accessible enough. There are stairs everywhere and this makes it difficult for many residents to get around safely. Adding more ramps would be very beneficial to an already excellent place.

The Remington Club is an extroverted environment for seniors to live independently and have an active life. The food is good there. The communication with the staff has been good. The location and parking has been good as well. I would recommend The Remington Club to anyone. I can't rate the care services because we haven't used it. It is not applicable. My overall rating of this facility is five stars.

Great place! We moved mom in about a year ago after our dad passed away and it was the best decision we ever made. She's busier than we are now with all the activities and she's really come out of her shell. The food is really good too! We've been very happy.

The dining room looked beautiful. One thing they could improve on is make more rooms available for memory care. Their facility has a waiting list and if they could add more rooms that would be great. They were very helpful to us and gave us good suggestions.

We're very pleased with how things have turned out at The Palms at Lake Spivey! It's a nice looking place, the people here are all very friendly, and my love one really seems to enjoy it. We are entirely satisfied!

Great facility! Staff is friendly and conscientious. Residents are with it! It didn't seem like "Heavens waiting room". Lots of activities for seniors and grandchildren can visit to enjoy the pool. Overall great place to live.

Fantastic place for my Mom, the staff was knowledgeable and very friendly. The process was quick and the management was very understanding to my needs.
