Dad is healthy enough to be in independent living, so this is a great place with his own place and garage. He can come and go as he pleases and they have activities for him. He's enjoying playing Euchre with new friends. There was some confusion with the rent amount and when it started, but that has settled out now. He's liking his new home.

What we like the most about Morningview is that the staff are attentive, they had area to move to memory care, garden in middle. We would recommend this community to other families who may need a place for their loved ones

It has been a while, but our experience with everything and everyone there was just fine! It was in a great location and close to my sister and I so we could visit often. Mom was happy there, I would recommend them to others.

Activities is only category my family member did nothing to have the opportunity to explore. Besides that, I would give an overall rating of 4.75. Not a 5 because the cost prohibits too many the ability to reside there stress free, but I would recommend this community to other families

My mother is reasonably happy there. But she did have a serious fall that no one saw. She broke her femur (needing surgery) and her humerous. She was in another residents room. So I'm not happy about the level of supervision and staff/resident ratio. She is in Memory care now, so they really should have more caregivers. Cleanliness - It is usually pretty good. But I have shown up when her room/bathroom aren't very clean. Friendliness - Most of the staff are wonderful. But there are a few I don't really care for. Quality of care. I don't have much to compare it to. She was in rehab after her fall. And the level of care there has higher. Again, there are some really good people at Barrington. And some that are just on their phones. Meals/Dining are Reasonable. Activities. I give them a 3 for memory care. They initially told me that they take them in outings. I've not seen it. They do try to do some activities, but it's mostly just putting on a movie. I have seen some crafting. I know it's difficult with memory care residents. But they could take them out more. I take my mother out 2-3 times a week to get her out and about. But I think a lot of people are just stuck there. Value. 4. It's reasonably priced compared to other places. I'd consider moving my mother to a strictly memory care facility. But I think moving her and changing her familiar surroundings would be adverse. They would benefit from hiring more people, especially in memory care. They really need a better staff/redundant ration in memory care. The nursing staff is really good, but a few staff members aren't attentive.

It's a nice place with a nice staff and she was able to bring her Cat so that made her very happy.

Overall it is good. Cleanliness is fair due to the renovations. Friendliness of staff is good. Meals I would say are fair - food is a wide variety and the staff is really nice, but most of the food is bland. Activities are fair and the value for cost is good.

Approaching six months at Heartfields. The facility is always neat and clean both inside and out. The people that we interact with have been great and helpful. The one thing I would like is feedback — about our family members progress both positive and negative. I visit a couple days a week but they see her 24/7

The directors are Heartfields’s are amazing! So kind to the residences and family members. Most of the front desk workers are very kind, friendly and welcoming but there are a few that are not. We are new so I do not exactly know the ropes but maybe more assistance from the workers to get a new resident to participate in activities would be helpful and help them meet and connect with other residences aside from just a table mate at lunch and dinner.

The facility is very nice, food mediocre and the level of care was good. I would recommend to others.

I’ve only been here for two months, but I’ve been To another place, and this is much better. The food is very good. The people here are very nice. Places very well maintained and kept extremely clean. The price is good for such a location. The pool is safe, small and not very deep. That’s great for water aerobics and swim.

The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is I think they give her evening medication too early. My mom is truly thriving; her overall health has improved since she is getting three meals per day, getting medication daily, and is socializing with other residents.

I have told many people about the community. I usually say it is a quiet community with lots of amenities.

Main negative was that she was moved out of her first room temporarily due to a roof leak and was not given the option to move back after the room was given to someone else. Very nice facility was fairly recently updated. Majority of staff has been very nice. Main negative has been a lack of staffing at times. Food is good, but sometimes her order is inaccurate. She is starting to go to some of these! Compared to other facilities in the area, the cost is very reasonable relative to the quality.

I would highly suggest Barrington and would suggest they monitor the nursing staff closely if their family member is not capable of communicating effectively.

I think my mom was happy and comfortable at OG, which made me not worry about her so much since I live out of town. I knew she was in good hands. My one or two issues happened at the end of my mom's time there. My mom had a stroke in [date removed] at OG. They took care of getting her to the hospital in a timely fashion and informed me quickly. The information I got at that time indicated she probably would be able to get back to OG soon. The hospital released her back to OG, but she had some mobility issues compared to before this incident. So, OG sent her back to the hospital saying she needed more help than they could give her. I was disappointed in that action since I thought my mom would recuperate better at "home" and I thought OG had different levels of care and that we could pay for the level of care she needed. Prior to the stroke, my mom was independent -- she could walk on her own, feed herself and take care of herself as much as possible, so she needed no help for basic needs; just help with medications and general health upkeep. When the hospital sent her back, and OG sent her right back to the hospital, I feel that that stress caused more harm to her well-being - both physically and emotionally. I wish they would have given her a few days to try to get acclimated to new medical issues -- she was using a walker for the first time and she was trying to get herself moving on her own, but the medical director at OG said she was not doing well by herself, so the recommendation was to send her back. I wish they would have given her a little more attention during that time especially since she needed no assistance while she was there for six months. I would have gladly spent more money to help her heal at OG and I think she would have thrived being with her friends and the staff that she knew. At the hospital, she got Covid so they kept her isolated for 10 days. She recovered from Covid, but it weakened her even more and she was having more issues and it was hard for her to heal from those issues. Had she been able to stay at OG, she probably wouldn't have gotten Covid and not gotten worse. She passed away in [date removed] and never got back to OG. The other issue I have with that whole situation is that I visited her in April at the hospital and went to OG to check in with them and checked her room. Her purse was in the room on the floor by her bed. At that time, we all were under the impression that she would be returning at some point. After she died and I went back to pack up her room, her purse was gone. I asked one of the directors if they knew anything about it or if maybe they put it away for safekeeping. No one knew anything about it and the person said to me "what was in it" as if it didn't matter that it was stolen because there was nothing of value in it. I don't know what was in it because it was gone. I was concerned about her personal ID and maybe there was money in it or her checkbook or anything that may have been valuable to me personally. Her wedding rings were also gone although I don't know where they were lost -- I suspect that happened at the hospital. Those are my two issues I have with OG. My mom enjoyed her time there and I wish she would have been there for many years. She would probably give all 5s for everything. My experience started out great, but ended up disappointing.

We are satisfied with our choice and we know that our loved one is safe. There is always room for improvement but when we have had questions they have been addressed and answered.

We liked it better the apts are bigger. People looked happy all said hello. Yes, I would recommend to others but it takes a few months to get used to this kind of living

It was the best place I looked at for my mother's needs and also closest to my home. The experience was good.

My mother recently moved to Park Place and is settling in. The staff have gone out of their way to make her feel welcome and I appreciate her being somewhere close and with people she can interact with. It is a big adjustment but everything is in working order and she is making new friends.
