Five Star Senior Living

A bit more open communication would be helpful. They had several staff members leave, with little/no information given to family. I would like to receive regular updates on dr. visits and medications.

There are no doctors on staff. They are PAs. The food can be repetitive. The organized activities are AMAZING (although my parents aren't well enough to utilize them). Living in hurricane country, it was important to us to find a place where my parents were not in a flood zone and would be evacuated in case of a hurricane. It was also important that they had a generator that would run in case of power outages. We found that with The Palms. They will always be safe and cared for.

I noticed the residents were happy. They really support each other with no judgment. Price stuck out and it is where she wanted to go

I would rate 4 for all except food as 5. It was good. Activities could be more varied. Admin as 3 could be more responsive to resident requests. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

It's great and she has adjusted. The food is very good. She has favorite nurses....one she loves and she calls her Sweetie pie. Yes, we would recommend Fountainview to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

One of the appealing things about Five Star for me was location. I wanted to be near cafes. A drug store and easy drive to other commercial sites.

Let’s face it, few people look forward to being in a senior living community. But when there’s no choice, at least we have lots of choices in where to live. The 5 Star has it all, independent and assisted living, large restaurant with a fireplace, good food and excellent service. There are daily of activities, a chauffeur and 2 mini buses for larger group outings. A gym, exercise room and indoor pool are onsite along with a beauty salon. You know you’re in a quality place when the library has a section of books written by residents. The best part are the people who work there. They are truly caring, helpful and attentive. My mother was resistant to moving to senior living, but she’s found a home at the 5 Star.

Realizing all the different personalities they deal with, you can never make everybody happy. I felt like they always did their best to keep my mom happy. They are very caring people.

Walking areas are good, lots of old oak trees. Assigned parking is good, covered parking available. A Luke warm recommendation, no. Walls are not well insulated, noise between units is annoying.

Staff are are good and a new chef, [name removed], has given us new offerings. Physical therapy and occupational therapy staff are excellent. I am glad I chose this facility.

You are responsible all of your basic bathroom items. In uncluding your shower liner. They need more activities for dementia residents.The dinning room could cook more gluten free items.

What we like the most about NewSeasons at New Britain is that it is in close proximity to shopping, friendly staff, clean and safe, value for the money. Yes, we would definitely recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

The activities get a 6/5, 6 they are exceedingly great. The staff is great. The people who plan and execute the events are stellar. Bingo, crafts, conversation, quiz stuff, all so great for my mother. The other residents are great too. Everyone there is so kind. My mom feels part of a community, she has more friends and social life now than she did than for the last decade before she was there. . They do a great job. We are happy there.

Has everything she needed in house, hairdresser, physical therapy, Dr visits once a month. Podiatrist comes there. Staff very kind, and helpful and friendly. She loves all of the activities and special holiday events with decorations. She loves it there and even has a new BFF. She was pleasantly surprised at how much room her studio has.

I would recommend it to others. The overall care was pretty good. The majority of the staff is super nice and helpful. The facility is kept pretty clean.

They are very understaffed. However, I like the fact that it is small. With dementia I think smaller number of residents is easier to deal with. More staff would help. Especially during meals and bedtime.

So far, everything's been good they help mom out a lot. It's a very clean place. They keep her laundry done. Give her medicine on time.

I have no specific comments other than overall it was great in the beginning but as time went on I could see flaws in the attentiveness of the staff regarding my mothers care.

I would say the biggest thing was that they listened to my mom's needs. And they were really excited about her living there. Yes I would recommend The Forum.

The CNA's that helped take care of my dad at end of life stages, were amazing. They helped me through the most difficult time of my life.
