Five Star Senior Living

I think the staff is very supportive and friendly. The food is good, it's very good. They have lectures and field trips and exercise activities. The only criticism I have is, sometimes, the service in the dining room is very slow.

Toured on September 17. I liked this facility a lot. If my mother were to qualify for independent plus it would be affordable. Assisted living would be pushing the financial resources. I really liked the location and the fact that there are 1 bedrooms and not studios. I did not like the fact that there is a $4,000.00 non-refundable community fee, I am going to write to see if there is any chance this could be waved. This one is in the running.

It's a beautiful place! It's a senior apartment building and it's really expensive but it's worth it. I'm busy all the time. I didn't realize that I could work so much in retirement. They take people on trips, shopping, everything! I'm truly amazed at it and I'm too busy playing golf. I haven't found anything yet to improve on. The experience right now, on a 1 to 10 basis, is a 10. I like the idea that I don't have to mow grass or wash windows or shovel snow.

I think it's a good price. My dad thinks it's expensive but for the two of them, him and his wife, I think it's a good price. From feedback from my dad, the care is not perfect. I'm sure it's just that they're busy but sometimes if he needs something they don't come right away. If he presses his button he has to wait, sometimes for a while. For activites, my dad doesn't do them but it looks like they're always doing something when I go. I think it's a good place. I've seen a lot of other places and it's very nice looking. Lost of skylights - very bright.

The community is very conveniently located for our family and is close to the church our loved one would be going to. It seems less expensive then the comparable communities. The dining is set up into smaller multiple dining rooms rather then one large dining area. The staff was on the ball; they were all very friendly and helpful. We spoke to about 6 or 7 residents and each one of them said they were happy here at Legacy Heights. Dawn McKenzie from A Place for Mom was very very helpful. She set up all the appointments and provided us with good advice on how to prepare my loved one for the move.

We chose this community because of the reputation of Huntington Place. When I visited the community I was very pleased with the reception I received and the quality of the staff and community. I was pleasantly surprised that it was within our budget and was really the best community in the area. I am very pleased with the overall community and quality of care. They have very good communication between our family and the care of our mother. We get called and told about what is going on rather then us trying to find out, so they really do include us in the care. We are very happy with Huntington Place and would recommend it to anyone.

We looked at other communities and we chose Riverwalk because it seemed to be the best fit for the situation we were in. The staff is really friendly and they have plenty of activities, even though it is hard to entertain the residents. We have no complaints and am very pleased with Riverwalk. We would recommend it to anyone.

toured many properties, this was the best, not just in price, but value of what they have. My mom is in independant care now, but they have facilites for assisited on site. Would recommend you checking this one out in your search.

Robin from A Place For Mom gave me a few places to check out and that included The Talbot. I chose The Talbot on Granby because it was located close to where I worked and because it offered independent living. The Director Diane was unbelievable, I was very impressed with her. I've been to every facility looking for the right place for my loved ones and nothing's come close to Talbot's on Granby. It's unfortunate that my dad needed assisted living more than independent living. The staff was amazing and did all they could to make it work.

The place was gorgeous. We like it a lot. It has moved to number one on our list.

Cameron Hall is privately owned, it's not real big so you won't get lost in it. I really like how it looked, it feels like home, you get your own room. Very personable, they take care of their residents. I can't rate their Activities at this time.

The Legacy of Anderson was the nicest and affordable. My loved one has not been able to participate in activities because he is in physical therapy but that was another deciding factor because he can receive therapy onsite. We don't have to worry about transporting him to appointments. I've eaten there several times the food is very good. I highly recommend this place, it has been a really positive experience so far.

Family owned, very clean, feels like a large home. Good activities and lighting. Welcoming and staff interacts well with residents.

Very nice facility. Aunt was very much impressed. She is ready to sign and move but we are checking into Diakon at Robinwood.

This was actually my favorite, however, they don't have a vacant room in the size we need right now. They are at least willing to take her name and call me when and if they get something available. The Director arrived late for our appointment and we were on the verge of leaving, but am so glad that we didn't. Really nice place and one I know my mom would love.

My dad has put down a deposit at The Forum here in The Woodlands! However, he states that he is NOT ready for a move at this point in time! So we are just in a holding pattern of sorts!

Because they had no vacancies, there was not a model unit that I could look at, but was allowed to look at a couple of units that had residents. I didn't get the feel that the apartments were as nice as the ones at the Carriage house, I believe it was mainly due to the residents individual furnishings and not being set up as a model. I did like that these units had walls to divide into separate rooms and this would be a plus. I really liked the fact that there was only one entrance/exit and that the door was locked when an attendant was not at the front desk. I also liked that the courtyard was enclosed. The additional medical options such as a visiting geriatric physicatrist (spl) would also be a plus.

I love this place, especially the cottages. I thought that I wanted an apartment, but now I have changed my mind. I feel that at this stage of my life a cottage is the way to go and later on move into an apartment when I get older. Heartlands is now my number one choice. EXCEPT that I wish it was not so far out from where I currently live, but can deal with that.
