I am sad when I see nasty reviews about Aspenwood. My mom has lived there more than a decade and never had a concern that was not immediately handled nicely, professionally and peacefully. Then I remember that every assisted living place is not the same, not one-size-fits-all. Just like college searches, the "right" place for you or your parents will "feel right" and you will be right at home. I'll agree that Aspenwood is not fancy, frilly and overwhelming but, then, neither is my mom! We - she and I - wanted someplace quiet, safe and with great round-the-clock care from wonderful staffers. We found that at Aspenwood. The Residents' Council meets monthly to discuss the dining room, housekeeping and other services. In 11 years, mom has never felt the need to attend but, the couple of times I have sat in, I found that individual maintenance issues, timely response to service requests and the lack of a particular dinner item were rare but quickly resolved. My mother is treated like everyones' grandmother - the nursing staff is tremendous and caring. Walk through the facility, by yourself or with a staffer, and you will see how clean, peaceful and safe Aspenwood is, everyday. I look forward to welcoming you personally because I know just about every well-loved resident!

Hello, I recently had a stroke and stayed at Morningview for respite and physical and occupational therapy. The staff is wonderful,very caring and positive. The food is great. I would very much recommend staying at Morningview either for respite or as a regular resident.

We’re the “Snow Birds.” My husband and I were living at the [removed]. My daughter and her husband found the Villa and introduced it to us. It was a tough decision and we talked about it… A lot! Finally, we all decided we should stay for six months, just to try it out. So we came up to the Villa stayed from October till April and then we’d head back to the Lake for the Summer. It was a great opportunity for us, and our family, to get an idea of what our lives would like at a Senior Living Community. My husband, who originally was not in favor of downsizing and leaving his home at the lake, surprised all of us. The first day we arrived the Sales Director, [name removed] greeted us at the car, pointed to a sign in the lobby with our names on it welcoming us both and proceeded to wheel my husband into the dining area. After we ate a wonderful lunch – my husband asked the server how much of a tip would she like, she thanked him and responded that “tipping” is not allowed. “All this great food, in such a nice place and NO TIPPING!” He turned to me and said, “Honey, I think I’m gonna like this place.” The grounds are meticulous with a nice park-like atmosphere and lots of flowers. The Executive Director [name removed] and his staff do a very good job at communicating with the residents about the goings on at the Villa. I particularly like having a Chapel – it does both Catholic and non-DE nominal services, which I think is a comfort to the residents who no longer have the ability to get to their place of worship. I also like the wide array of activities the Villa offers. [name removed] the Lifestyle360 director does such a good job at taking us to new and exciting places - and there is always something going on here. Naturally things happen, nothing is perfect, personnel and schedules change - most of the residents understand it. And It’s good to know ahead of time what’s really going on instead of hearing it through the grapevine. Overall, I have to say I am very pleased with our life here at the Villa and would encourage anyone who is looking to downsize to meet with [name removed] and [name removed], take a walk around the grounds, meet the other residents and see what your life can be like living amongst friends and people who care about you like family.

[Name removed] needs to be recognized for her tireless efforts. This women is relentless in the goal to have everyone have a great experience during special events. This women is a WOW! All day long.

Wow! What a beautiful place! I’ve visited a few communities and this one really shines! It is very well kept and the staff is very caring and compassionate towards the residents. It has great care staff, delicious food and resort style activities/classes. Always seem to have entertainment and nice parties just about every week!

My husband [name removed] and I have been residents of Stratford Court Adult Living in Palm Harbor for a little over a year and a half and we are very happy here. The concept is of a gentile retirement hotel, with an attractive private living space, supplemented by inviting community venues (indoor and out) and a fine dining restaurant. I am particularly pleased with the housekeeping - both in my apartment and in the common areas, the food and service, and the availability of opportunities to create "community" with my fellow residents in many different ways. When asked how we like it here, my husband always says, "I'm happy and [name removed] is ecstatic.

My mother moved into the Forum, independent living this past November. She is approaching 95. I am so glad she is here as this is a wonderful place. She has a beautiful apartment, cleaning services provided as well as 3 meals a day, plus all kinds of group activities. Everyone is absolutely wonderful -- from the maintenance men, restaurant workers, cleaning ladies, receptionists and management, It is a gigantic stress reliever for me to know she is in such good hands should she become sick, etc. Many thanks!

My mom lived at Clarks Summit Senior Living and our experience was wonderful! From the moment she moved in, the staff were friending, caring and compassionate. My mom had dementia and they kept an eye on her. She loved sitting in the lobby area chatting with other residents and staff. I would highly recommend this facility!

Our family is very pleased to have our mother at HeartFields Assisted Living. Mom reminds us that she is happy and loves being there as well. She has made many friends. The Caregiver staff, Marketing and Activities Director, nursing and kitchen staff all seem to place care of and service to the resident as first priority, always eager be of assistance. To me, it's all about building relationships to help mom feel comfortable and provided for in a safe environment. I think they do well in offering activities and events to keep the resident engaged. From the moment we walk in, the environment is clean, friendly and personable.

This is a great place, but I find that it works best when the client WANTS to move in and Decides to make this "Home". When it is forced, it is always more difficult and easy to find faults. The employees love and care for their residents is beyond any comparison in the area. The care offered here goes far above and beyond the requirements for an "Independent Living Facility".

I recently moved my father to this facility. He first tried it by staying in a furnished apartment for a 2 week trial they called a Staycation. It was the perfect way for him to get the feel of the place since he was not happy about leaving his home. He thinks the food is great, the staff is very friendly and he has enjoyed the activities. The place gives me piece of mind which is priceless. When my father fell, they had a nurse check him out right away. It has not been an easy decision for my father but he signed the lease last week and liked the place enough to call it home. I continue to be impressed with their service and the way they know and care about all the residents. The apartments are a decent size and we are happy to have one with a balcony.

My husband and I are very happy residents of Stratford Court - food service is exceptional, housekeeping very satisfactory, repair and maintenance prompt and efficient. Friendly, helpful staff, spotless facility, compatible neighbors. When asked if he likes it here, my husband always answers, "I am happy and my wife is ecstatic."

From the minute you open the door to New Seasons at New Britain one can feel the warmth, friendliness and a feeling of family there. The smiling ladies who are most courteous and helpful at the front desk are such a welcoming inspiration. [Removed] is most helpful in coordinating your stay and makes one feel very much at home there. [Removed], director does an outstanding job in keeping the wonderful reputation that New Seasons has. Truly a 10 star residence! I can't say enough about [Removed] and her kind and caring nursing duties. From the nursing staff, the aids, and all who make New Seasons a happy uplifting residence that you see from all the residents there I give it my highest compliments! The food is always delicious and varied and never any trouble to ask for something that is not on the daily menu. And when you ask for help, the staff is most attentive. There was always a uplifting, positive feeling when visiting New Seasons. A feeling of family and teamwork to meet your every need in your stay there.

WOW the staff are so friendly smiling all during our tour. tThe place is very clean, the smell of cookies and we even had lunch delicious prepared and attractively appealing. The people living there all seemed very happy . i will tell you that we had the pleasure of meeting the Executive Director who immediately we felt like everyone was part of his family. This community by far beats the other ones we visited. No comparison to the Barrington or Brookdale. Now we have to convince Mom

My mother in law is doing very well since her move to this community. We do feel comfortable with her move here. We know she is safe, and in good hands. The only concern we have had is the cleaning lady's that come to clean her apartment. I feel they should just jump right in, and do the cleaning without asking what needs to be done. Other than that issue the staff is fine. There are nice activities offered for the residents. We are satisfied with this community, and we would recommend it.

The staff at this community are supportive in every way. They encourage my wife to be active and socialize. They offer healthy food choices. They offer daily activities and they keep the community very clean. I would recommend this community.
