I cannot say enough about the staff and facility at Aspenwood. From the very beginning, they were friendly and helpful. Mom is having a hard time adjusting but they are checking up on her and making sure she is fine. The only area that has been a bit more challenging is managing her medications. A couple of misunderstandings have occurred but they were resolved eventually, with a sincere apology. Could not be happier!

My mother has been a resident of Clearwater Commons for many, many years. She, along with our family, have always found the staff to be very friendly, totally engaged in their work, and extremely understanding and empathetic with the residents as well as their families. In addition, the community provides a very comfortable, clean, and safe environmnet for my mom.

My brother and I could not have found a better place for our Mom. We were blown away with the place. The apartment was bigger then we 1st thought, every thing was clean, people were friendly and welcoming. Don't know how many of the residents stopped us to ask if they were getting a new neighbor and told my Mom that she was going to LOVE it there. Beth and Fran could not have been more helpful with answering all our questions. Every time we go now and the staff sees us they always ask if there was anything else they can do for us or our Mom. This was a perfect fit for her!

I found out through APFM and after we went to all these place, we found out one of my mom’s neighbors went there and loved it! Word of mouth for it has been great. The food could be a little better. She likes to play cards, but she’s doing a lot of activities. She’s making friends.

The only thing I could really say is that the food was really good at first but, it didn't stay consistently good. It kind of has gone downhill. We chose them because they were newer and more updated, and the furniture was very nice. They made a good impression on us. Of all of the communities that we looked at they were the nicest ones we saw.

This is a wonderful place! My loved one lived here for over two years before we needed to move her due to increasing care needs. I wish we could have kept her here but unfortunately she started having more serious memory care issues than they were able to handle. Everyone here was so friendly and so caring! They did a great job with the activities and keeping the residents entertained and engaged!

They're doing a great job here, we're very happy with the service. They really care about and get to know the residents here. I like that when I call the front desk they can tell me, without even needing to look, where my loved one is. The staff know everyone by name, and go out of their way to make the residents feel like family. When my loved one returned from the hospital everyone greeting her warmly and welcomed her home, which really meant a lot to us.

We toured this community when we were looking into care options for our loved one. I was very impressed by what I saw here, it is a great looking community and the staff all seemed very friendly. We ended up choosing another community, but this would have been our second choice.

We're very pleased with the service here! We've had experience with other communities and this one is an improvement in every category. The management here are outstanding! They are personable, very active, and really know all the residents. We had quite a few tours lined up and didn't feel the need to look further after seeing Legacy Heights!

My loved one was unfortunately only here for a short time, but I feel like they did a very good job overall. We visited quite a few communities in the area, and this one really stood out to us. It had a nice warm, friendly feeling, and really felt like home. The staff were very caring, and were really going out of their way to help her settle in and feel comfortable here.

They are very clean and the staff is friendly. They have been quick to respond to needs and concerns. She is a picky eater, but has been able to find stuff to eat. Just in the first few days, she has improved so much. She has done a complete 180. Liz the coordinator made us feel very good. We really liked it, when we went to visit we really liked the cleanliness, and that it didn't smell. They have lots of staff and are very attentive. And the therapists are really great. She can be really good at saying no, but they don't let her not go.

They were fantastic!! We were moving out of state to one of their sister communities, and they were able to do the assessment for us to make sure the move went smoothe. If we had stayed in the area we would have stayed here! we loved it!! They were so friendly and accommodating. Great place.

The staff is very caring and willing to work through any difficulties with the resident adjusting to the new environment. They also have adapted their activities calendar to include favorite activities of the residents when a need or interest presents itself. I would highly recommend this facility!

She always looks nice and clean, and she is eating her dinner. The value is really good. They keep the community clean and the people are real friendly. I can't think of anything that could be done better or improved. I like that everything is on one floor. It's a nice area even the other homes nearby are nice. The dining room looks like a restaraunt with cloth knapkins. It really is just a nice place.

A family member has recently moved into Franciscan Manor and our experiences there so far have been very positive. The administration and staff have been extremely helpful and friendly. The facility itself is quite beautiful and welcoming and the schedule of activities provided for residents there is very impressive. I was very impressed by this place, and I toured quite a few communities during my search! It was an attractive facility, very clean and well kept. The staff were also all very friendly and helpful. However I don't know if the atmosphere and location would have been something my loved one would be comfortable with. She is from the midwest and this may have been a little too upscale and urban for her tastes. I liked that at this community the base price included the first level of care, with the ability to add more services on later if necessary.

Overall things have been great here, I'd give them 5s across the board! One thing that really stood out to me is that the food here is great! They've got plenty to choose from, and the kitchen is open all day. They have a window of a few hours when they will serve the main entrees, but you can always go in to get a light meal or a snack. The staff are all very attentive, and there is always someone around if you need something, no need to go searching for an employee. This place was my top choice from the search we did for a previous relative, and ended up being what we chose for my aunt during our most recent search!

Jules at Devon Senior Living is a gem. This is the first facility we toured and we had no idea what to expect let alone what questions to ask. Jules gave us two hours of her time allowing us to ask questions, tour the facility, explore the activities there as well as provide a history of the building. Upon entering the building we felt a warmth radiating from the residents that we did not experience at any other facility we toured. I didn't know what to expect once we arrived but I had thought I might be disappointed in the facility due to the age of the establishment. It was quite the opposite however. The new parts of the building have been integrated into the old in such a way as to make the entire facility feel like a home. The Memory Care facility is like no other. Much thought has gone into the care and treatment of the residents. The rooms are a good size and I was actually impressed that no room in the Memory Ward has a shower located within. I felt this to be a very secure feature as we are constantly afraid of Mom falling and hurting herself in the bath. We loved the common areas with their beautiful views and open spacious comfort. The facility is clean, secure, happy, and nurturing. We are hoping to place Mom in this facility as we have no qualms about this facility being the right place for Mom and we can be at peace with the daunting decision to have to place her in an Assisted Living Facility.

This is a beautiful place. I ate lunch there on Sunday after touring on Friday, service was great, their menu was marked with vegan options and 'contains milk', they have a lot of variety each day. They have a small but swimmable pool, a fitness center FULL of machines (but no people the two times I saw it). It is larger than Kensington Park (about 300 in Independent Living, I was told, while KP has 60-65), so opportunity to find friends and interesting people or activities seems good. The community fee is $4000. and they claim they never take less than that (they told me earnestly that it is what funds the building rehab that is constantly ongoing). They have four styles of one-bedroom apt, I saw two that are similar except for bathtub/shower arrangement. The one with the shower (which I think I'd prefer) has had kitchen counter and cupboard upgrades. Both are renting for 3499 / month for first year (including brkfst and dinner daily). Each of these has a balcony facing east, so gets the morning sun and afternoon shade. They are both on the 4th floor and look out onto Connecticut Ave, but are quiet when the sliding door is closed. The view (or lack thereof) is one factor in pricing...on the other side of the building there is a golf course, so those apts are pricier. And the higher the floor, the higher the price. Each apt has a small Dish-washer (BONUS!) and washer/dryer set in the apt. Also a bonus. Location is great: very close to Connect. and East-West Hwy, so would likely be able to drive to any of my doctors within 15 mins. Parking at residence is free. If I am unable or don't feel like driving they have a van that goes around a certain route that includes one or two of my docs. They also have a 'club car with driver' for $22/hour, they charge in 15-min increments. They also have a single floor of 'assisted living' apartments. They are the same as those on the other floors but cost $6200-$6500 with additional care.
